***Norton User Alert***
Over this weekend, Norton decided to flag DigameXtra as an unsafe website. When I visited their website to investigate, they tried to sell me a security package that they said would fix the problem, and allow me to put a Norton logo on the website proclaiming it safe. I checked DigameXtra on VirusTotal where they scan the website with 50 different top malware detection tools, and of course DigameXtra was 100% clean. So I refused to accept this blackmail, I am certainly not going to pay Norton for the privilege of providing them free advertising. I sent in a dispute notice. Within hours Norton removed the warning. This is an unscrupulous practice, even if they did rectify it quickly, and I certainly do not recommend any company that resorts to such tactics.

Antequera 4th Annual Beer Tasting Festival: Sat, May 13 through Monday May 15. It will take place in the town’s bullring. The three-day event offers the opportunity to taste a wide variety of local cuisine, while also presenting a programme of musical performances by several bands from the town.
– On Friday, local singer Julio Orellana will perform at 10 pm, bachata and salsa Morales at midnight and DJ Carlos Madrona will be in charge of taking attendees through until the early hours.

Traffic diversion at El Ingenio Centre on Friday 28 April: On Friday morning around 11-30 am the entrances to & the exit from El Ingenio onto Av Juan Carlos 1 were cordoned off and all traffic was redirected.
Does anyone know if it was a fun run for children that has taken place on a Friday in April in previous years ?
Having been redirected out of the centre, the roundabout on the A356 by the Repsol garage was cordoned off in the direction of Lidl and access was refused, therefore making it impossible to travel back onto Av Juan Carlos. This effectively closed off half the roads denying access to the chemist at El Tomillar on the Av del Sol & the nearby Mercadona store at that time.
For future reference it would be extremely helpful to know when this event was taking place and if it is publicised in advance. Thanking you in advance for any information that readers may have.

Tesla boosts its supercharger network for electric cars in Malaga & Antequera:

New Atomic MacOS Malware Steals Keychain Passwords and Crypto Wallets:
– Threat actors are advertising a new information stealer for the Apple macOS operating system called Atomic macOS Stealer (or AMOS) on Telegram for $1,000 per month, joining the likes of MacStealer. Threat actors who purchase the stealer from its developers are also provided a ready-to-use web panel for managing the victims.
– “The Atomic macOS Stealer can steal various types of information from the victim’s machine, including Keychain passwords, complete system information, files from the desktop and documents folder, and even the macOS password,” Cyble researchers said in a technical report. This includes information stored in web browsers (e.g., passwords, autofill, cookies, credit card data).
– The development is another sign that MacOS is increasingly becoming a lucrative target beyond nation-state hacking groups to deploy stealer malware, making it imperative that users only download and install software from trusted sources, enable two-factor authentication, review app permissions, and refrain from opening suspicious links received via emails or SMS messages. Another US Bank Collapse: Shares of several regional lenders fell on Monday after the collapse of First Republic Bank, the third major casualty of the biggest crisis to hit the U.S. banking sector since 2008. The crisis unraveled after the closure of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank in March that led to deposit outflows from smaller lenders and fueled fears of similar liquidity crunches at peers. While investors digested the rescue engineered over the weekend by regulators for First Republic’s assets with a pinch of salt, Wall Street analysts were largely sanguine about the deal.
“This marks (the) second largest failure on record. Still, unlike Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, the FDIC had a buyer waiting in the wings,” said analysts at Barclays. Mothers’ Day celebrated in Spain on the first Sunday in May:
– This Sunday, 7 March, is Mothers’ Day this year in Spain. Unlike Fathers’ Day (19 March), there is no fixed date for it- it always falls on the first Sunday in May.
– May 1965 was when Mothers’ Day was moved to May in Spain, because it is the month of the Virgin, and the authorities opted for the first Sunday of that month, as did those in Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal and South Africa, among others. However, in other parts of the world it is still celebrated on the second Sunday in May, such as in Germany, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, China, Croatia, Cuba, Ecuador, the Philippines and Italy. Spain bans ‘dwarf bullfights’:
– Spanish lawmakers on Thursday banned bullfighting events featuring people with dwarfism wearing costumes, a move welcomed by disability rights groups but opposed by the actual performers. Groups of people with dwarfism dressed as firefighters have long entertained audiences by chasing young bulls without killing them, in shows considered to be comic.
– While the numbers of self-styled “dwarf toreros” are dwindling, so-called “dwarf bullfights” can still been seen, especially during festivals honouring a town’s patron saint. The law approved in parliament on Thursday prohibits “shows or recreational activities in which people with disabilities, or this circumstance, are used to provoke mockery or ridicule from the public”.
