New Christian meeting hall: Just to inform all those Digamextra readers who may be interested, on Sunday July 19th at 11:00 am Calle Ros Alférez 7. Torre Del Mar (not far behind the Catholic Church) God willing; we hope to open the new Christian meeting hall in Torre del Mar. Our vision is for it to be a place where bible believing Christians come together to worship, pray, and share. of course we also hope that those who are seeking to know more about the Christian faith will also join with us. As the logo suggests we are non-denominational, therefore all Christian denominations are welcome. The meetings will be friendly, joyful, reverent and orderly. We have no paid personnel. that is to say; no one gets paid for any service in our Christian meeting house. our one united desire is to glorify God.

Moonette Organic & Aromatic Skincare:
We are a small company based in Torrox, Málaga. We are passionate about health, beauty and aromatherapy. As the founder of Moonette, I firmly believe that the use of aromatherapy cosmetics is one of the best-kept secrets for producing healthy and well cared for skin, taking advantage of the beneficial properties of essential oils that have been used for hundreds of years.
The skin, our largest organ, plays a vital role in our health because it is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense to invest in suitable products for good skin care. At Moonette we specialize in creating formulas which prevent premature skin ageing and reduces the appearance of the signs of ageing by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, along with the removal of blemishes and imperfection. During the development of our products we keep in mind that over time, the skin becomes thinner and more sensitive and less firm. Therefore, it requires the use of specific ingredients for treating mature skin. We do this by providing skin with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration and cell revitalization, all of which are from the finest pure botanical oils and natural ingredients. In this way, we do not need to add any artificial, harmful or aggressive ingredients.
We also feel the urgency to reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. One of the actions we’ve taken is to encourage regular customers to recycle and reuse their Moonette skincare containers as much as possible. Customers who recycle the empty containers will receive a small discount on future purchases. At present, we are testing out this scheme in our local community Axarquia and in Malaga.
We are committed to creating easy-to-apply, high-quality and affordable products.

Capacity controls had to be enforced at 29 locations on the Malaga coastline last weekend: The majority of these incidents, according to those consulted by SUR, were people not respecting the minimum distance of two metres, the use of balls and other inflatables and a disregard of monitors by repeat offenders. Travel between Spain and the UK after July 10th- What’s running and what are the rules?: The UK apart from Scotland has lifted the previously required 14-day quarantine for travellers from Spain to Britain. Jet2 cancel all Scottish flights to Spain: In a shock announcement Jet2 has cancelled all flights from Scotland to Spain as a result of the 14-day quarantine rule still being in place.

Windows 7 Hack Alert- Do Not Use ZOOM On Windows 7 or Earlier Systems: Despite having gone obsolete on Jan 14th some people insist on continuing to use Windows 7. To successfully exploit the zoom vulnerability, all an attacker needs to do is trick a Zoom user using Win 7 into performing some typical action like opening a received document file. No security warning is triggered or shown to the user at the time of the attack. Until Zoom releases a fix for the issue, users can temporarily stop using the Zoom client on their older versions of Windows, or update their OS to a newer version. Android Hack Alert- Joker Malware Apps Once Again Bypass Google’s Security to Spread via Play Store: First discovered in 2017, Joker is one of the most prevalent kinds of Android malware, notorious for perpetrating billing fraud and its spyware capabilities, including stealing SMS messages, contact lists, and device information. As of January 2020, Google has removed more than 1,700 apps submitted to the Play Store over the past three years that had been infected with the malware. To achieve the capability of subscribing the users to premium services without their knowledge or consent, the Joker utilized two main components — the Notification Listener as a part of the original application, and a dynamic dex file loaded from the C&C server to perform the registration.
For users who’ve installed any of the infected apps, it’s worth checking your mobile and transaction history to see if there are any suspicious payments that you don’t recognize. Also, make sure to carefully scrutinize your permissions for every app installed on your Android device. The newly discovered rouge apps are listed in the photo below, click to enlarge. Spain’s nominee loses Eurogroup presidency in surprise defeat: Nadia Calviño was backed by Germany, France and Italy, and the reversal weakens the Spanish position ahead of a key summit on an EU coronavirus recovery fund.
The decision could have an impact on the upcoming summit on an EU recovery fund to help countries bounce back from the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Spain, one of Europe’s worst-hit countries, supports a distribution of funds where grants play a large role, while some member states are pushing for this money to take the form of loans. Microplastics and parasites- A look inside the fish of the Western Mediterranean: Study finds a correlation between the presence of small synthetic fibers and the prevalence of worms in the guts of sardines and anchovies, two of the most commercialized species.
One theory is that the parasites could already be on the plastic at the time that the fish swallows the latter. Another possibility revolves around the river areas where waste is discharged, which makes the water dirtier and attracts more parasites.
Scientists have known for some time about the presence of microplastics in fish. In a recent article published in Environmental Pollution, Spanish researchers noted that over 65% of deep-sea shrimp on the Catalan coast have synthetic fibers in their stomachs and intestinal tracts. As for anchovies, it was proven last year that 83.3% of analyzed individuals had ingested microplastics in the eastern Mediterranean, while an earlier study found 90% of analyzed anchovies in the Adriatic Sea had plastics in their stomachs. DoctorLaptop’s famous Annual Clean & TuneUp Service €60: For Windows & Mac. New “fileless” malware formats evade standard anti-virus programs, making it difficult for typical users to “dis-infect” computers themselves with free, consumer level tools. If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance an annual professional servicing with advanced professional grade tools is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? If you did, the engine replacement will cost far more than if you had properly maintained it with an oil change once or twice a year. It’s the same with computers, you should do a quick cleanup yourself once a month, and get an annual professional service. I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files and permissions, replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use a 5 tool malware/adware/spyware removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows/Mac+all drivers+programs and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance. Job usually completed overnight. Heavily infected comps or those showing error messages need a repair, not a maintenance service. Hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10 and may require 2 days to complete. ALSO:Computer repairs, websites/blogs/forums/SEO, business computer maintenance & security service. Free shopping service, send me your requirements, I’ll find you the best deals!
Windows, Apple/Mac, Linux and Android all serviced.

Pool service: Four years ago I had a PVC pool cover supplied and fitted by (I think his name was Sam) this was secured by an elasticated rope to screw type bolts. Over time this roping has stretched and in places is on the verge of breaking ( I have a sample of this rope) Towards the end of October I will need the rope replaced when the cover is fitted for the winter. If Sam or a competant pool company can contact and supply me with a quoatation for this work I would be grateful.

New process launched for UK nationals registering for residency in Spain for the first time : The Spanish Government has launched a new process for UK citizens who have still to register their residency in Spain to protect their rights under Britain’s Withdrawal Agreement with the EU. From 6 July, instead of the green certificate or card that Britons living in Spain are used to receive to prove residency, a new photo ID and biometric card known as a TIE (tarjeta de identidad de extranjero) will be handed out to those who meet the requirements.
The British Embassy in Madrid welcomed the introduction of the new system, but also stressed that the some 360,000 Britons already registered in Spain do not need to change from the green certificate or credit-card sized card they have already have.

Golden Leaves Funeral Plans:
Pre-planning your funeral is a thoughtful and responsible way to show you care about your family.
Funerals are no easy task. There are numerous considerations to factor in, including logistics, food and drink, casket purchase and burial grounds. A loved one’s death brings immense emotional strain to any family, and the question of financing and arrangements only exacerbates the stress.
Handling all of these challenges is difficult enough in one’s normal circumstances, but having to go through it while abroad is an enormous burden.
Golden Leaves Funeral Plans aims to support grieving families during these tumultuous times. Since our inception in 1984, we have partnered with a widespread network of funeral directors across the UK and Europe.
Purchasing a funeral plan with Golden Leaves enables you to plan, design and pay for your funeral services in advance.
As one of the leading providers of expat prepaid funeral plans in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands, we make sure to adequately support your family in the time of greatest need.

Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga
Are you having soil erosion issues after all the recent rain?
Vetiver is the perfect solution with the 3 – 4 metre root system.
The plant is non invasive, grows rapidly and once established it needs very little water.
We are finally open again for business. We are still not permitted to have visitors at our nursery but we can ship plants via post or we can deliver locally.
Our first day of shipping was Monday and we shipped 2,000 plants to various locations in Spain, Portugal, and Hungary.
We have plenty of Vetiver in stock. Right now the soil is nice and damp and the weather is starting to heat up so it is the perfect time to plant.
We also have Lemon Grass, Moringa Seedlings and Organic Moringa Powder.
Moringa, also known as the “Miracle Tree”, has many nutritional and health benefits. If you have ever been to a Thai Restaurant you have probably had Lemon Grass.
Lemon Grass grows easily and quickly. Take a look at our website or go directly to the two links below. If you have any questions please contact us either by email or phone.

This is more than the 9.4% decline predicted in the spring, and it creates a wider gap between Spain and the euro zone. Europe’s economic activity continues to sink to levels unseen since World War II. And Spain and Italy, the two European countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic, will feel the pain more intensely than the rest.

Fresh hope for Brexit deal as EU appears to compromise: Fisheries policy compromise is in the air as Michele Barnier has said that Brussels would be open to support a UK proposal which would divide fishing quotas that would reflect the number of fish in British waters. Scientific data would determine how long fish stay in British waters, using variables like, the temperature changing in the water, and from that and other scientific data there would be an agreement on where and when EU boats could fish in British waters. Data On Spanish Care Home Deaths Is Unreliable: The Spanish Ministry of Health acknowledges that the poor quality of the data on care home deaths provided by the Autonomous Communities during the pandemic has made it difficult to interpret it, with one community failing to provide any data at all. The total figure of deaths in care homes ranges from 27,359 to 32,843. Full story: https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/07/07/data-on-spanish-care-home-deaths-is-unreliable/#.XwUXr-dS-00
Estepona’s Orquidario Botanical Park in the centre of the town and has now reported that its Stanhopea trigrina orchid from Mexico has flowered: It’s main characteristic is the chocolate-like aroma. Greece Lifts Ban on British Holidaymakers: Government spokesman Stelios Petsas has confirmed today that summer holidays in Greece are back on the cards for British holidaymakers after recently being banned; he said that sun-seeking Brits will now be able to visit the country from July 15. What role does the blood group play in the risk of severe COVID-19?: A new study from The New England Journal of Medicine identified a 3p21.31 gene cluster as a genetic susceptibility locus in patients with Covid-19 with respiratory failure and confirmed a potential involvement of the ABO blood-group system.
Genetic data confirm that blood group O is associated with a risk of acquiring Covid-19 that was lower than that in non-O blood groups, whereas blood group A was associated with a higher risk than non-A blood groups. Full article: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2020283
COVID-19 Topics In The News- What is Cellular Immunity and How is it Different From Antibody Immunity?: Cellular immunity, also known as cell-mediated immunity, is an important aspect of the immune system that allows the body to attack invading organisms on a cellular level. It is paired with humoral immunity, the part of the immune system that involves an antibody response. Both types of immunity are a critical part of a healthy and functioning immune system.
Full article: https://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-cellular-immunity.htm (In new Covid info articles referring to herd immunity, and also testing accuracy discussions, the different types of immunity are now being focused on. See next articles. -Ed.)
Final round of coronavirus study confirms that only 5.2% of Spanish population has antibodies- ‘Very Far’ from a ‘Herd Immunity’: The Spanish overall figure of 5% is in line with studies in other European countries that showed a prevalence of 4% to 5%, far below the rate that would provide the population with so-called herd immunity, and which experts place at 60% at the very least.
When discussing the problems of different types of tests and inconsistant testing results this was part of the explanation. “Not being able to detect antibodies does not mean that these people are not immunologically protected,” explained the director of Spain’s National Epidemiological Center, Marina Pollán, given that people can also have cellular immunity, something that has not yet been so closely studied in this coronavirus. Serological tests detect the production of antibodies, but not cellular immunity, which could explain why people who have tested positive in a PCR test (which detects an active infection) then later test negative in antibody tests. Brushcutter Hire: I wonder if anyone could tell me where I could hire the above? I want to tidy up a piece of ground, and would like to try a brushcutter before buying one. Any information will be really helpful. My name is Bob from Torrox Pueblo. Darcymay1@icloud.com
Found VISA Card: I found a Visa card in the car park of El Ingenio this morning. As it seemed to have an English name I brought it home to see if any Digamites had lost it. However on closer examination the English name is in fact French, the issuing bank being Banque Populaire, not Banco Popular as I first thought. Its a really long shot but perhaps somebody has a French neighbour with the initials GC. Worth a try!

Spike in Covid-19 Outbreaks & Hospitalisations Force Spain to Lockdown Parts of Catalunia Again: Catalunia’s Lleida and Segria are back under lockdown from this afternoon due to a spike in Covid-19 cases and an increase in hospital patients as a result of the disease.
This “difficult decision” has been made to “protect ourselves and control the outbreak” stated Catalunia’s President Quim Torra. The measure came into effect at midday Friday forcing more than 200,000 people back in lockdown. England to end quarantine for more than 50 countries: Britain will end coronavirus quarantines for people arriving in England from more than 50 countries, including Germany, France, Spain and Italy, but not the United States, the government said on Friday.
The move, effective July 10, clears the way for millions of British tourists to take summer holidays without worrying about being quarantined when they return. Those arriving from higher risk countries will still have to self-quarantine for 14 days under a rule which has angered airlines and travel companies. Pirate IPTV Crackdown Underway in England & Northern Ireland, Arrests Mount, Luxury Vehicles Seized: This is the first time that police in the UK have used an IPTV service itself to deliver an anti-piracy shutdown notice to streamers, and to our knowledge this method has never been carried out in other countries either. (See photo)
For many years people considered the operation of torrent sites and streaming platforms only from the angle of copyright law but what we are now seeing with most IPTV cases are continual references to offenses under the Fraud Act (defrauding rightsholders) and Proceeds of Crime Act (money laundering).
These offenses not only attract significant custodial sentences in their own right but can also lead to those convicted being stripped of their property, if the authorities believe those assets were obtained from criminal activity. Fiscal reforms and hikes on highest rates of income tax ‘inevitable,’ says Spanish prime minister: According to Sánchez, Spain must close its fiscal gap with Europe if it is to strengthen the country’s welfare system in areas such as public healthcare. In Spain, the tax burden – the total tax revenue as a percentage of GDP – is 39%. This is six points below the European average, which translates to €80 billion in taxes a year.
In a bid to address this crisis and create a fairer tax system, Sánchez also raised the possibility of increasing value-added tax (VAT), as recommended by the Bank of Spain in its Annual Report.
The prime minister also announced on Thursday that an additional €50 billion in loans will be made available to small businesses and self-employed workers through the state-owned lender Instituto de Crédito Español (ICO). New Ransomware Targeting Apple macOS Users Through Pirated Popular Apps Such As Ableton Live: According to K7 Lab malware researcher Dinesh Devadoss, Patrick Wardle, and Malwarebytes, the ransomware variant, dubbed “EvilQuest”, is packaged along with legitimate apps, which upon installation, disguises itself as Apple’s CrashReporter or Google Software Update.
Besides encrypting the victim’s files, it also comes with capabilities to ensure persistence, log keystrokes, create a reverse shell, and steal cryptocurrency wallet-related files.
With this development, EvilQuest joins a handful of ransomware strains that have exclusively singled out macOS.
The source of the malware appears to be trojanized versions of popular macOS software such as Little Snitch, a DJ software called Mixed In Key 8, and Ableton Live.
It also kills any security software (e.g., Kaspersky, Norton, Avast, DrWeb, McAfee, Bitdefender, and Bullguard) that may detect or block such malicious behavior on the system, and sets up persistence to automatically restart the malware each time the user logs in.
In the last stage, EvilQuest launches a copy of itself and starts encrypting files, counting cryptocurrency wallet (“wallet.pdf”) and keychain related files, before eventually displaying ransom instructions to pay $50 within 72 hours or risk leaving the files locked.
The best way of avoiding the consequences of ransomware is to maintain a good set of backups,” Reed, director of Mac and mobile at Malwarebytes, concluded. “Keep at least two backup copies of all important data, and at least one should not be kept attached to your Mac at all times.” Full article: https://thehackernews.com/2020/07/macos-ransomware-attack.html

More Problems for Out-of-Control Big Tech- Potentially Billions in Copyright Infringement Damages Against YouTube: For many years, Google-owned YouTube has been wrestling with the vast amounts of copyright-infringing content being uploaded by users to its platform. While YouTube unmercilessly censors and de-monitizes Conservative content creators, YouTube profits from illegally posted, copyright infringing videos they host. The 44-page complaint leaves no stone unturned, slamming YouTube as a platform designed from the ground up to draw in users with the lure of a “vast library” of pirated content and incentivizing the posting of even more material. YouTube then reaps the rewards via advertising revenue and exploitation of personal data at the expense of copyright holders who never gave permission for their work to be uploaded. The End of the Social Media Era Can’t Come Soon Enough (Vanity Fair Editorial): Will a future generation look back in 10, 20, or maybe 100 years from now and wonder, mystifyingly, why a generation of humans believed in these platforms despite mounting evidence that they were tearing society apart—being used as terrorist recruitment tools, facilitating bullying, driving up anxiety, and undermining our elections—despite the obvious benefits and facilitations they provide?
One of the problems is that these platforms act, in many ways, like drugs. Facebook, and every other social-media outlet, knows that all too well. Your phone vibrates a dozen times an hour with alerts about likes and comments and retweets and faves. The combined effect is one of just trying to suck you back in, so their numbers look better for their next quarterly earnings report. Sean Parker, one of Facebook’s earliest investors and the company’s first president, came right out and said what we all know: the whole intention of Facebook is to act like a drug, by “[giving] you a little dopamine hit every once in a while, because someone liked or commented on a photo or a post or whatever.” That, Parker said, was by design. These companies are “exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology.” Former Facebook executive Chamath Palihapitiya has echoed this, too. “Do I feel guilty?” he asked rhetorically on CNN about the role Facebook is playing in society. “Absolutely I feel guilt.” Full article: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/11/the-end-of-the-social-era-twitter-facebook-snapchat
Politically Correct food?: A campaign has been launched against the political incorrectness of food product brand names and mascots amid growing support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Have a look at what’s changing both in Spain and abroad.
A few months ago it was ColaCao, the chocolate drink brand, that ditched its decades-old song about the negrito – a patronizing term for a black man – and replaced it with another jingle devoid of racist overtones. Now, Conguitos, a popular Spanish chocolate candy, is to follow suit and get rid of it’s “adorable” mascot as the Black Lives Matter movement gains momentum in the wake of the George Floyd killing in Minnesota. That’s what a petition on the Change.org platform is demanding of Lacasa, the company that produces the candy. With almost 5,000 signatures, the initiative has caused a stir on social media, where the disproportionately large red lips of the Conguito caricatures have been remarked upon. Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid labelled “racist fish”: Protesters of the Black Lives Matter movement around the world have in recent months rallied against statues of historical figures who played a role in racist oppression, such as slave traders and colonialists.
“I am having a hard time seeing what is particularly racist in the fairy tale “The Little Mermaid,” Ane Grum-Schwensen, researcher at the H.C. Andersen Center at University of Southern Denmark, told local news wire Ritzau.

Jeffrey Epstein Confidante Ghislaine Maxwell Arrested on Sex Abuse Charges: Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and heiress who became a confidante of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and was later implicated in his alleged sexual crimes, has been arrested by the FBI.
She was arrested in Bradford, New Hampshire, around 8:30 a.m. Thursday on charges she conspired with Epstein to sexually abuse minors. She was found living at a reclusive, million-dollar luxury home with 156 acres of rural mountainside property, federal prosecutors said.
The case also ensnared British royalty, bringing an end to the royal duties of Epstein friend Prince Andrew. Prosecutors have been seeking to speak with him for months about his friendship with the financier and the allegations of abuse.

The Spanish government has a hotline to answer all queries from Brits living in Spain about the implications of Brexit, in English. Callers can ring 060 when in Spain or +34 902 887060 if calling from abroad and an automated system will offer the choice of either Spanish or English.
You will then be offered a choice of information on the different issues.
The service also offers the option of speaking to an operator for those requiring further information or with a specific query not dealt with by the automated options. Source: https://www.thelocal.es/20200218/spain-launches-dedicated-brexit-hotline
