Missing Dogs – please help
My two dogs Slinky ( the black and white pointer ) and Punto ( Dalmatian cross ) went missing Tuesday morning, my husband took them out as I had an early Doctors appointment, they disappeared on the walk, we are at Barranco de Plano about three kilometres up the track opposite the campo de futbol. They both have discs on and are chipped, Slinky has on a pink collar and Punto has a red one.
This is Monte Alegre/Barranco Plano area, Torrox Campo
If you see or hear anything about them please let us know I am desperate to find them, a reward will be offered for any information.

Wheelchair Needed for One Day- Urgent !
Dear Digamists, my Mother has had a hip transplant and isn’t walking great yet and said it would be too much for her to come along because walking thru a city would still be to much for her. But on Thursday (yes this Thursday) we are going to Malaga ( only the ladies) to buy fabric for a special dress and really would like to take her along with us. So the idea was born that if someone has a wheelchair they could miss for a day we could take her along on our day out. We can pick it up on the coast and return it safely.
Hope dies last, so I’m hoping someone can help on short notice.

Please, please is there anyone in Digameland who can offer a furever home to our beloved siamese cat Guapo? Approx 8yrs and microchipped, vaccinated etc. Typical Siamese temperament, a liitle fiesty at times and rather spoiled. Needs to be an only cat where he can sleep on the terrace all day and on your bed at night and be fed on demand . He is not a ratter or mouser…such things are beneath his dignity. All too often ex-pats are quick to criticise Spanish bureaucracy and it can indeed be difficult for northern Europeans. But we have found Alfonso in the Archez Town Hall to be unfailingly helpful. Recommendation Dealing with White Flies on Cacti
Even my best friends would not recommend my cooking or gardening but here is an idea to deal with those all pervading cactus flies (and other insects). Pop down to Supersol Torrox Costa (I have no connection) and buy a bottle of that wonderful Domestos Bleach. Try a dilute mixture to spray on your cacti (the white stuff) assuming you can get to the ones close to your house which are likely to be the problem. This works really well for ants too, spray in their nest holes and on their routes – mine vanished weeks ago. Now, all those little white flies can be removed from windows and surfaces with a sticky clothes hair remover roller – great fun and you should see the wonderful colour !

Recommendation– House and Pet Sitting Service- Maria Erving
Maria house sat for my 3 cats recently at short notice. She took extremely good care of them, especially my old cat who has to be encouraged to eat. She obviously loves animals and sent me regular photos and updates by WhatsApp. She also took good care of the house and it was more clean and tidy than I left it, to my shame!
It is never easy to leave someone in charge of your house and animals for the first time.
I found Maria to be a very likeable, reliable and honest person and from the outset felt very comfortable in trusting her with my home and pets. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone for house and pet sitting. JW

Whats on-Phoenix Club Excursion to Festival of 3 Cultures
The Phoenix Club are off to celebrate the Festival of the 3 Cultures in Frigiliana. The Three Cultures Festival of Frigiliana was created in 2006. The local government wanted to promote the village as a quality tourist destination and created the annual event combining culture, music, cuisine and theatre in a celebration of the historic and rare co-existence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions. The event now attracts thousands of people to Frigiliana and gets significantly bigger year on year.
The festival is centered around the main Plaza de las Tres Culturas in the centre of Frigiliana where over 150 stalls selling food, clothes and local produce all vie for attention. A large music concert with stage and seating takes place here each night with a late fireworks display and programs are available in English and Spanish
Visitors will also encounter many medieval street performers and belly dancers, film screenings and craft workshops as they wander the streets from the Parque de Andalucia to the Plaza de Iglesia. Existing and pop-up restaurants design culturally-themed menus around each religion. There is a popular projector show at the San Antonio de Padua church celebrating the cultures with a slideshow of images against the white wall.
The Three Cultures Tapa Route – Hundreds of visitors also complete the two popular tapa routes passing bars and stands around the village which offer tapas and drinks for €1.50-€2. If you pop into the official marquee in the centre of Frigiliana at the beginning of the evening you will pick up a card to be stamped at each bar before getting a free commemorative t-shirt at the end of the night. There are actually 2 tapas routes – one with a Moorish theme, the other Mudejay – and those who make it to all 21 bars receive a ruck sack.
