Land Needed to Rent – Urgently
APA Nerja Estacion Esperanza is a dog refuge, which will have to be closing on October 31st.
We are desperately looking for a small piece of land to rent anywhere in the Nerja Frigiliana, Maro Torrox Campo areas .. Size of a football pitch- so hot huge
Would be nice if the piece of land had a few trees for shade but the association will do the fencing and pens etc

Has anyone yet applied for Spanish nationality? If so, are you finding the papework onerous or do you use a gestor? Perhaps a discussion on this topic could be useful to quite a few of us re our experiences, hopes and opinions about what the future holds etc?

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning returns to Competa for the fifth year and promises to be even bigger and better on Friday, 30th September at Cafe/Bar Lorena, Competa at 11am.
Once again, all funds raised will be split between MacMillan Cancer Support , UK and Cudeca Cancer Care, Spain.
MacMillan estimated last year on the worldwide coffee morning date, in the UK alone, some 12 million slices of cake were served, although I cannot offer you 12 million slices of cake, I am sure we will have a great selection.

This symposium brings people together. For a short period of time artists from all over the world gather to exchange information, techniques and ideas related to their profession. These artists, painters and sculptors from different backgrounds will inspire each other and will be able to see their colleagues at work.
The event will broaden horizons. It helps improve the understanding of other cultures, countries and art. The symposium is a public event using local spaces in Cómpeta and surroundings where locals, art-lovers and visitors can meet the artists and experience how they create their own particular style, with spontaneity, originality and creativity. At the end an exhibition will be held to present all art created during the week. The LUZ Symposium will be held in the marvellous environment of the Andalusian mountain village Competa. The village is surrounded by beautiful nature. No doubt that the Spanish culture, the sun, sky, mountains and the sea will inspire the participating artists…

The afternoon quiz resumes in a new venue The Purple Dragonfly Cafe (formally the Portobello, Block 79, Torrox Costa.) Follow the path through the garden opposite Cafe Javier (formally Cafe Miguel, AKA Chicle!), it’s next door to the hairdressers. We start at3pm on Thursday 15th. All welcome!
