Stunning Cats Seek homes 

These beautiful cats were rescued in the summer from an apartment with 75 cats and dogs. We now need loving homes for them. They are gentle Turkish Van cats who are used to dogs. They are a bit shy but come round in time and are very affectionate. They don’t wander.

-Finally…A way to block Windows 10 from doing Auto-Updating. Windows Updates requires a fairly fast, good quality internet connection to complete the process. As it is now, Windows will constantly try to Update in the background, regardless of the connection status, and this often causes errors on weak connections. -A security researcher has discovered a critical vulnerability in Facebook Messenger that could allow an attacker to read all your private conversation, affecting the privacy of around 1 Billion Messenger users. It allows an attacker to access your private messages, photos as well as attachments sent on the Facebook chat. The error has been patched, but it goes to show, FB is anything but secure.

The dog that Steven is referring to in the previous Digamextra is ours and everything reported is absolutely true!

Reading Steven’s recommendation on Digame, as a serious sceptic of ‘hocum pocum’ I dismissed it but, having tried almost everything else including a most expensive ‘Homeopathic Vet’ in Herradura (never ever paid so much for four little rubbish tablets) didn’t know where else to go!

After three visits from Steven, as Steven says  Luca is at peace!

I don’t know how you recommend (spread the news) of someone like this but, he definitely has a talent!

Well, winter is almost over and the hospitals and ambulatorios are back to normal after the vacations.
You should be getting that appointment you have been waiting for any day now.
Most doctors speak a little English, but much prefer you to have an interpreter with you, because the risk of being misunderstood or of misunderstanding  is too great.
I was an interpreter at the hospital for fifteen years And for the last five have been working privately for patients.  My charges are reasonable and they can include picking you up if needed. And , most importantly, I dont charge by the hour.

“Recommendation needed –English Car Mechanic

I drove down with my UK reg car from England to Canillas de Albaida, and my dear car didn’t skip a beat.  But a few days after arriving, I experienced a racing engine (on the autovía) which wouldn’t turn off, accompanied by enough white smoke from the exhaust to bring the autovía to a standstill….pretty frightening.  It’s a diesel, and I’m now aware of the various problems which can cause this, but none the wiser as to the damage after almost a week at my local mechanic.

Can anyone recommend an English mechanic who could tell me more than “your engine needs to be repaired”?  I want an engine compression test done, and to know if it’s the turbo, fuel-injection, head gasket, etc. which failed/needs replacing.  I’m unprepared to either write off my 15 year old car, or spend EUR 1,000 on a new (secondhand) engine on the basis of no information!

The World Service from the BBC is not broadcast very much on Short Wave or local FM stations these days and the best way to receive it is from your Laptop/Tablet or PC via the internet.

From there you can receive many BBC radio channels.

In the near future, it will also be available in local shops along with John’s other books.

This is a new venture for John, as it is not a book of mystery and crime stories, but is a romantic historical novel about an Andalucían village, from prehistoric times to the present day. Sedella is one of the ‘pueblos blancos’, white villages, of the Axarquía, a hilly region in Málaga province.

Each of the historical chapters is in two parts. The first part is a fairly factual account of the relevant time, though some of these facts may be slightly altered in time etc. to fit the story. The second part of the chapter is a story set around these historical events.

In the 21 chapters, he has tried to give a picture of what the village would be like at different times, for example under Roman occupation, under Moorish occupation, during the long years of Franco’s dictatorship, what the village was like when he came here in 1994 and what it is like now.
