Services Needed Dog walker needed in Torrox Costa area (near Mercadona)
I am looking for someone who can do 1 to 2 hour walks on leash for a newly rescued older podenco-cross older pup weighting 20 kils. I rescued him from being stuck in a front yard for the first 8 months of his life from well-meaning but clueless Spanish fosterers who took him out at most 15 mins a day . He is well behaved with 4 hours of walks a day but I don’t have the time or energy for that each day so am looking for educated dog walking help.
He is very keen to walk anywhere at all, so long as there are good sniffs. This dog is definitely half Podenco but seems more a scent hound, than sight hound so grass is better than concrete.
You can walk him on leash. He has not been well socialised though is very loveable so you must be able to take precautions including:
- ensuring you are between the dog and passers-by
- pulling him back from any dog he takes a dislike to (he weighs about 20 kilos and I, as an average sized female, can hold him back)
- reinforcing the teaching to sit and calm if he does jump at a dog (about 70% of the time, he loves many dogs, but takes a dislike to a few)
- practising precaution with unknowns and keeping a distance with: children on bikes, adults on bikes, adults running/jogging, children or adults making a lot of noise / commotion
- keep him away from sudden movements (brace the leash)

I will walk the first couple of walks with you. He is a loving older pup and always keen for a walk. As I am recovering from chronic illness, 4 hours a day is a bit too much for me so I really need some help. There may be a couple of days in Feb that I need all-day support if you are available.

Services Needed– iphone and mac help please
I can’t find through the Search facility the person who advertised a couple of weeks ago for help with iPhone and Mac problems, I have a problem sending emails from my new iPhone 7 because I use Hotmail through Outlook Express and my pop3 seems to be up the creek. Nobody seems to know much about Mac products, certainly not the phone shops, and I don’t trust anyone with my MacBook so please could the person re-post or contact me on lakinka @ hotmail dot co dot uk.

They looked after our dog like he was their own and Terry’s daughter sent us photos while we were away which was very nice of her.

Recommendation – Wood Burning Stoves
If you missed my post about Wood burners and are now feeling the cold and need a Log Burner or Pellet stove I recommend Tehisu in Velez Malaga. What’s on- Stars of the West End, Mijas Costa
The Phoenix Club are off to a concert at Mijas Costa called “Stars of the West End” – it is a theatre show on Friday 24th March in the beautiful Las Lagunas Theatre, Mijas Costa (behind El Corté Inglés). The audience at the theatre production will hear songs from “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Les Misérables”, “Jersey Boys”, “Oliver”, “Mama Mia”, “Miss Saigon” and many more during a 2-hour show (2 acts with a 20-minute interval).
The “West End” comes to the Costa de Sol in March 2017 with 3 Principle performers from currently running Musicals arriving with the popular “Stars of the West End” show.
Featuring favourite songs from the most popular musicals, Mike Sterling (Phantom of the Opera), Lisa-Anne Wood (Les Misérables) and Michael Conway (Jersey Boys) bring the very best of musical theatre to Spain. All have had leading roles in the top West End musicals over the years.
Mike Sterling has been an Artiste in Theatre, Television, Concert and recording for the past 23 years. He has starred in major hit musicals in London’s West End, and is known most notably for his interpretation of ‘The Phantom’ in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” (over 1000 shows), and ‘Jean Valjean’ in Cameron Mackintosh’s “Les Misérables” which have earned him international acclaim. Thus, to date he has enjoyed an extremely successful career on a global scale, including a 6 month sell out UK tour as ‘Dexter Haven’ in Cole Porter’s ‘High Society’, alongside Wayne Sleep.
Lisa-Anne Wood – Before graduating from the ‘Guildford School of Acting’ Lisa-Anne landed the role of ‘Cosette’ in the Olivier Award-winning cast of “Les Misérables”; this marked her West End debut. Lisa-Anne was ‘Christine’ in “The Phantom of The Opera” at Her Majesty’s theatre and “The Phantom of The Opera” 30th Anniversary Concert Performance. And in 2014, returned for the second year running to star opposite John Barrowman in “Dick McWhittington”.
Michael Conway is currently playing ‘Joe Pesci’ in “The Jersey Boys”, having previously played ‘CC LaDrue’ in “Flashdance – The Musical”, also ‘Fyedka’ in “Fiddler on the Roof” and ‘Prince Charming’ in “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
Together, these 3 seasoned performers bring all the fun and emotion of musical theatre in this memorable show, here for the FIRST time on the Costa del Sol.
