Lost – Mobile Phone
Whilst walking the dog Friday evening my mobile phone          must have fallen out of my pocket. If anybody finds an old Samsung model mobile telephone in a black cloth cover could they please email me ? Was walking down the promenade in Torrox Costa at about 5.45 pm
The phone is not worth anything as it is an old model, but the phone numbers etc.are important to me

What’s on- . The Torrox Spanish History Group
   The Group has now had four very successful and well attended group meetings as well as two outings to historical places of interest and we are looking forward to more visits in the coming year. All visits are chosen so that they are within easy reach by car or bus.
Our next group meeting will be on Tuesday the 3rd of April and the talk will be on the Spanish Civil war. Our speaker will be the well known author Joan Fallon who has written books on Spanish History which is a passion of Joan’s and she is the author of “Daughters of Spain” and “The Ring of Flames” set in 11th century Cordoba and many more besides.
Joan’s books will be at a reduced price for members and she will also sign any books which are purchased.
Our talk in May will on the Romans in Spain with a second talk on the Caliphates and in June there will be a talk on the Habsburg’s.

What’s on The Phoenix Social Club of Torre del Mar was awarded a Bronze Medal by La Cruz Roja on Thursday 22nd March at the Hotel Yaramar in Fuengirola. Pic This medal was one of only 4 awarded in the Province of Malaga and the only English speaking association to receive one and is in recognition of our financial contributions towards the work of La Cruz Roja.
The bronze medal was presented by the Mayor of Fuengirola to the Vice President, Tim Denham, who received it on behalf of our members. The Club Treasurer Mary Burbery and her husband David, also attended the presentation. It is a great honour for The Phoenix Club to be recognised, for the financial contributions we make bi-annually, giving something back to our host country via The Red Cross.
