ANEDA looking for new members: Nerja Art group ANEDA is looking for new members. From the 1st of December we will be based in a brand new work space in Calle Granada, right next to the Culture Centre in the heart of Nerja. Passersby can look in and see all the paintings and activities.
” Our aim is to promote art in the region. We organize exhibitions in and around Nerja, hold drawing and painting classes for children and adults and organise workshops” says Laura Viqueira Niel, the enthusiastic leader of the ANEDA group. “At the moment we have 36 members, young and old, national and international, painters and sculptors, who all work in different mediums, sizes and styles. A wonderful mix! We are supported by the local council.”
“ Even though ANEDA has grown steadily and we welcomed 11 new members this year, we still are looking for more members. We are all amateurs but with a passion for art. Like minded people can contact us. Everybody is welcome.”
-First exhibition in new location
The first member to exhibit in the new ANEDA home is Carmen Aros, a Chilean abstract artist. Her exhibition will be on until the end of December, followed by Nadia Ayoub who will be exhibiting until the 15th of January. Every 2 weeks another ANEDA artist will exhibit here.
-Collective exhibition in Calle Cristo
At the moment ANEDA also has an exhibition showing a few works of each member in the Sala Municipal in Calle Cristo. This exhibition gives a good overview of work by ANEDA artists. The gallery is open everyday from 11.30 until 2pm and in the evening from 5.30 to 8.30pm. The exhibition finishes on the 11th December 2021.

COVID-19

Madrid hospital detects Spain’s first case of the Omicron variant, Portugal has 13: The microbiology service at the Gregorio Marañón hospital in Madrid has reported the first case of the Omicron variant of the Covid virus detected in Spain this Monday, 29 November.
The patient is a 51-year-old man who flew in from South Africa via Amsterdam on 28 November, the Madrid regional health service has confirmed.
The health authority is keeping the close contacts of the passenger on the flight to Madrid from the Dutch capital under “epidemiological surveillance”, it said.
It seemed only a matter of time before the Omicron variant would reach Spain, with 13 cases already reported in Portugal and dozens around Europe. Full article: https://www.surinenglish.com/spain/madrid-hospital-detects-20211129180108-nt.html

Covid Spain- Incidence has increased by almost 30 points since Friday and is now close to 200 cases per 100,000: {Translation, summary} 19Nov21 6:30pm
-The incidence reaches 199.02 points after the weekend for the first time since the first week of September. This is an increase of almost thirty cases compared to Friday, figures not seen since September 3, when 198.25 cases per 1000,000 inhabitants were recorded. The curve has been declining for months, although it now seems to be gradually recovering an upward trend. Spain continues to be in the medium risk range for coronavirus infection, according to the criteria of the new COVID traffic light of the Ministry of Health.
-Navarra continues to top the list of communities with the highest incidence and this Monday recorded a rate of 571.84 points. It is followed by the Basque Country, with 446.16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants; and Aragon, with 348.43 incidence points. Catalonia, with 5,179 infections; the Basque Country, with 2,442; and Andalusia, with 1,742 positives, are the regions reporting the greatest increase in infections after the weekend.
-With respect to the number of infections by coronavirus, public Health has notified 22.911 positive since Friday, while the previous Monday was registered 15.875 contagions.
– The hospital data also show an upward trend, and recorded data which has not been seen since mid-September. The percentage of occupancy of beds once again exceeded the 3% (3,05%), while the percentage of occupancy in the ICU for patients with COVID increases nearly a point with respect to the Friday (7,33%).
-Reports are 53 people have died this weekend from Covid.

Andalusia prepares to enter the Level 1, medium alert zone for Covid: {Translation, summary} Updated: 29/11/2021, 17:31
-Andalusia will see this Wednesday the territorial alert committees meet to define the health districts that will have to recover some kind of minor restrictions in response to the rise of the accumulated incidence, which on Monday saw some communities rise above 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a limit that according to the new “traffic light” would place the community in medium risk alert.
-Cordoba with 132 cases, Huelva (130), Almeria (113) and Malaga (111) exceed the regional average.
-In the case of areas that return to Level 1, these may see the return capacity and schedule limitations, according to the extraordinary BOJA of September 29.

In the case of hospitality establishments with music, the maximum hours will be at five in the morning, with no admission of new customers or service from 4:30 hours. The number of diners at tables will be 8 indoors and increases to 10 outdoors, with a capacity of 75%. Barbados drops Queen Elizabeth II and becomes world’s newest republic: Celebrations are underway in Barbados as the Caribbean island throws off its colonial shackles to become the world’s newest republic, with an elected president as head of state.
Barbados became independent in 1966 but retained Queen Elizabeth II as sovereign. Last year Barbados announced it was replacing her with its own head of state in time for its 55th independence anniversary on 30 November 2021.
Famed for its beaches and love of cricket, Barbados will sever its final imperial links to Britain on Monday by replacing its former head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, with her current representative, Governor-General Sandra Mason.
In October, Barbados elected Mason to become its first-ever president, one year after Prime Minister Mia Mottley declared the country would “fully” leave its colonial past. Full article: https://www.euronews.com/2021/11/29/barbados-drops-queen-elizabeth-ii-and-becomes-world-s-newest-republic

By the way…$11.8 billion. That’s how much Dorsey is worth, according to a Forbes estimate. Recommendations & Requests

Sliding Window Drafts: Is there anyone out there who can fix sliding patio type windows, in the bedroom, letting in drafts, if you can, or know someone who can, please contact 622480546, I am in Colmenar. Kathryn. Thank you.

Thank You: Just to let you know that from my post on DigameXtra regarding a food processor, I had 3 offers. The magic of DigameXtra is a positive thing. So I would like to thank Sigrid and Judith for their kind offers but I have accepted an offer from Bill and Sheila who, subject to a discussion with their friends David and Ian, offered me their Magimix food processor, free of charge.
This was overwhelmingly generous as these machines are expensive. I am blown away with their kindness.
So thank you so very much, Bill, Sheila, David and Ian.
As you know the Phoenix club supports local charities such as La Cruz Roja and every year (usually) we make a cash donation to them. Our home bake sales raise much needed funds for this and other causes we support, so thank you for that too. So this gift will be much loved and used.
And thanks to the magic of Naythan and DigameXtra!

Electricity will cost 215 euros/MWh on Monday, almost 14 euros more than on Sunday: {Translation}
-The price of electricity in the wholesale market (pool) has been set for Monday, November 29, at 215 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), which represents an increase of almost 14 euros compared to the price set for this Sunday (201.42 euros).
-In the comparison with last Monday, the 22nd, the price of electricity for tomorrow is 9% lower (236.51 euros/MWh), but more than double the price recorded on the first Monday of November, the 1st (91.20 euros/MWh).
-Tomorrow’s price will again surpass the 200 euros/MWh barrier for the twelfth consecutive day and marks the second Monday with the most expensive electricity in November after the 22nd (236.51 euros/MWh).
-So far this month, the price of electricity averages 190.63 euros/MWh, 10 euros below October (200.06 euros/MWh), the most expensive month in history to date, and 34.5 euros above September (156.15 euros/MWh).

DoctorLaptop’s Tips #95
What Windows 10 & 11 Users Need To Know About Anti-Virus Programs and Apps: {By DoctorLaptop}
-You need to have some type of protection from malware and trackers.
-New anti-virus software is designed for newer machines. The industry expects people to replace their computers every 3 to 5 years. They are not really interested in supporting older machines for individual users; that takes a lot more effort, when their target customers are businesses that buy thousands of copies at a time for newer computers.
-If your computer is under 3 years old with at least 8Gb of RAM you can use whatever anti-virus you choose and it should not effect your computer performance much. Your up-to-date processor should be able to accommodate most anti-virus programs. You don’t need to read the rest of this unless you believe your computer is slower than it should be.
-If your computer is more than 3 years old, or has less than 8Gb of RAM, please continue reading.
-Windows 10 & 11 both have Windows Defender Antivirus pre-installed. This is sufficient for most users. Windows Defender Antivirus ranks in the top 5 of most lists of FREE anti-virus program malware detection ratings by independent analysts. (ref: https://www.neowin.net/news/av-test-confirms-windows-defender-is-amongst-the-very-finest-antiviruses-you-get-in-2021/).
-All anti-virus programs slow your device. For this reason you do not want a bloated third-party program, loaded with features that you will never use, yet still run in the background, slowing the computer and popping up ads and pointless messages. Windows Defender has the least of these annoyances.
-The main reason to use a 3rd party anti-virus program is if you do on-line banking  and/or on-line purchases frequently. In that case you may want better protection than Windows Defender, but you will need to pay to get something better than what you already have, and it will slow your overall performance. The two I recommend, that have the best detection rates and the least effect on performance are (not affiliate links)
Kaperski Internet Security: https://www.kaspersky.co.uk/internet-security
Bitdefender Internet Security: https://www.bitdefender.co.uk/solutions/
-If you have more than one 3rd party anti-virus installed (not including Windows Defender) they will block each other from working correctly. If you have a third party anti-virus program, and you remove it, Windows Defender will resume protecting your computer when you restart the device.
-If you have a 3rd party anti-virus installed, you must completely uninstall it before you change to another. This is now a 2 step process. Previously you could simply use the Windows uninstaller in Settings to remove anti-virus programs, but that is no longer the case. Now, after you do the uninstall, you need to go to the website of that anti-virus program, and download their uninstaller clean-up tool. Even if the website says it is only necessary to use the tool for failed uninstalls, use it anyway! It cleans up left behind registry entries that CCleaner or similar registry cleaners cannot access. These registry spaces need to be empty for the next anti-virus program to install properly. The tool names vary from brand to brand, and some brands make finding the uninstall clean-up tool hard to find; if you can’t find it, email me and I will email it to you in an attachment. Pay attention while using this tool, and closely look at every option before proceeding, you do NOT want to just click thru this!
-Be careful if using the “Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool”, as it will try to trick you into reinstalling Norton as part of the cleanup. Do not click a button labelled “Remove & Reinstall”, there is another option to just uninstall below that button.
-When setting up a new Windows computer you will often see McAfee has been preinstalled. Actually, that is only the install app for McAfee, not the program it’s self. If you don’t want McAfee installed, uninstall this installer app. As long as you never run that app, you can uninstall it without the need to use the uninstall clean up tool.

MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing.
We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.
Free small testers are available on request. Please contact us to find out more or to order:

Huge lava flow from new fissure on La Palma volcano: A new fissure has opened up today, Thursday, November 25, on the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Canary Island of La Palma. This news was announced by Involcan, the Canary Islands Volcanological Institute, on their official Twitter account at around 5.15 local Canarian time.
This new opening is located to the south of the volcano’s main core, and according to Involcan, is already emitting a large volume of lava. It is thought this new opening could well lead to more fissures opening up. The new stream is flowing at around 600m/hour, and unfortunately is heading in the direction of more of the island’s infrastructure.
Its rapid flow has already buried Las Manchas cemetery this afternoon, and destroyed another 40 properties including farmhouses and their surrounding farmland. The photovoltaic plant is also under threat, as the stream destroys everything in its way. New COVID variant Omicron triggers global alarm, market sell-off: The discovery of a new coronavirus variant named Omicron triggered global alarm on Friday as countries rushed to suspend travel from southern Africa and stock markets on both sides of the Atlantic suffered their biggest falls in more than a year.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) said Omicron may spread more quickly than other forms, and preliminary evidence suggested there is an increased risk of reinfection.
Epidemiologists warned travel curbs may be too late to stop Omicron from circulating globally. The new mutations were first discovered in South Africa and have since been detected in Belgium, Botswana, Israel and Hong Kong. In the quantum world, time does not flow as it does in the classical:
Time always advances forward, at least in the classical world, but it is a statement that does not have to be true in the quantum world, where the border between forward and backward may be blurred according to a study published today by Communications Physics. A team of researchers from the Universitat de les Illes Balears (Spain), Bristol (UK) and Vienna have shown how quantum systems can evolve simultaneously along two opposite temporal arrows, both forwards and backwards in time. The study requires rethinking how the flow of time is understood and represented in contexts where quantum laws play a crucial role. The UK Will Finally Officially Recognize Octopuses And Crabs as Sentient Beings: The update to the Animal Welfare Sentience Bill, which would see decapods and cephalopods protected alongside all back-boned animals from frogs to dogs, follows a review of over 300 scientific studies by the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Cephalopods have clearly demonstrated their incredible intelligence. Cuttlefish, for example, can pass cognitive tests designed for human children, while octopuses can recognize individual humans, remember how to solve puzzles they’ve encountered before, and they’re notorious escape artists too. They also emotionally feel pain, and when trapped in environments that lack stimulation, they grow frustrated and bored just like we do. They may even be able to dream.
While not as famously as the octopus, crabs have also demonstrated an ability to learn via association too. They can learn to navigate complex mazes and recognize and remember a fake seagull isn’t a threat. They also experience pain, demonstrate protective and learning behaviors to avoid it, and suffer stress from excessive noise. Photo:Getty. Portuguese Government returns to the state of emergency & has decreed a week of “containment”: {Translation}
-The Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, announced Thursday that the country will return to a state of health emergency as of December 1, as a result of the significant increase in new infections and with an incidence that already stands at 251 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
-Costa’s announcement once again brings with it the obligation to wear masks in closed spaces, to present vaccination certificates or negative tests for coronavirus in order to access bars, restaurants, leisure spaces and sporting events, in addition to the control of air borders where the health pass must be presented.
-The Government of Portugal has decreed a “week of containment” of contacts between January 2 and 9 in which teleworking will be mandatory and in which bars and nightclubs will be closed. Schools will start on January 10. “If there is one thing we have to avoid, it is to have a January 2022 that resembles the tragic January 2021,” said Prime Minister António Costa.
-In addition, from December 1, face masks will again be mandatory in enclosed spaces and without exception; the digital certificate will be mandatory to enter restaurants, hotels, gyms and other events. It will also be necessary to present a negative test – also in the case of vaccinated persons – for visits to residences, inpatients, large events without designated seating, sports venues, discotheques and bars.
-Portugal will require from December 1 a negative test for all passengers entering the country by air, even if they have a vaccination certificate, and will toughen penalties for airlines that allow people to board without a test.
-The prime minister has pointed out that the situation has worsened since last September 29, when some restrictions were lifted. “We have been above the red line of more than 240 cases per 100,000 population for three days now.” Sources, Spanish: https://www.eldiario.es/sociedad/ultima-hora-coronavirus-actualidad-politica-25-noviembre_6_8523374_1081603.html

EU Commission Unveils Plans to Make Vaccination Passports Valid for Only 9 Months: “The nine-month period takes into account the guidance of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) on the administration of booster doses as of six months, and provides for an additional period of three months to ensure that national vaccination campaigns can adjust and citizens can have access to boosters,” the Commission recommends. New Covid Variant Identified In South Africa, to be put on England’s travel red list: The variant, which was identified on Tuesday, initially sparked concern because it carries an “extremely high number” of mutations meaning that the spike protein now looks dramatically different from the version that vaccines were designed to target. The latest data, presented by South African scientists on Thursday, revealed that the variant also appears to be more transmissible and is already present in provinces throughout the country. Another case has been reported in Hong Kong, in a traveler who had recently returned from South Africa.
The World Health Organization said it was “closely monitoring” the reported variant and was expected to convene a technical meeting on Friday to determine if it should be designated a variant of “interest” or of “concern”. Halting Erosion using Vetiver:
From Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga
Our Nursery is open by appointment. Please email or call first. We have Moringa seedlings, Organic Moringa powder and Comfrey plants. We also have some local trees and some exotic trees from Africa.
Vetiver is a rapid growing and non-invasive sterile clump grass with a height of 1-2 metres and a root system of 3-4 metres in depth. We have been providing Vetiver throughout the EU for almost 10 years now. We are located in Sayalonga where we can plant year round but our best results by far start in February. The reason is that Vetiver is indigenous to India and Vetiver loves the heat of the summer. Use Vetiver cuttings as mulch around all of your fruit trees. Decomposing Vetiver improves soil quality, keeps the weeds down and the insects away all while helping to maintain soil moisture.
Vetiver is a nutritious and replenishable animal fodder. Horses and pigs love it. We use it in our chicken pens replacing hay because it stops mites.
In the 2 photos below you will see land prepared for Vetiver and the results 2 years later.
We also use Vetiver along driveways and sidewalks. It also makes a great and inexpensive ornamental hedge.
Here is a link to a short video showing the results.
https://youtu.be/rjTmb_LL2uo
We suggest planting now, as this is the BEST time of the year to plant.
To see more images of Vetiver go to this link.

Recommendations & Requests

TV Repair Advice: This tv is causing me a problem I cannot resolve.
TV Model LG LED TV 24TK410V 60cm/2
The remote will turn the TV on but will not perform any other functions. It also leaves the volume slider visual on the screen set to zero, which cannot be removed or controlled by the remote. A mag box can be connected and controlled by its own remote but because this will not override the volume issue the TV is useless as there is no volume and the screen is compromised by the permanent volume icon. There are no controls on the TV apart from an On/Off button. I have thought of buying a new remote but wanted to get another take on the problem before going down that route.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone out there in Digame-land that has a solution apart from putting it by the bins.

COVID-19

Covid Spain- Covid rate rises to 139.1 with 34 deaths: This Tuesday the incidence rate in Spain rises to 139.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, seven points more than this Monday. Navarra remains at the head of the autonomous communities with the highest incidence, and on this day almost 400 cases are reported for every 100,000 inhabitants.
There have been 34 deaths have been reported this Tuesday from COVID-19, while 22 deaths were recorded on Monday. Full article: https://spainsnews.com/the-incidence-rises-another-seven-points-to-139-cases-after-notifying-6777-new-infections/

Covid Andalucia- Andalusia exceeds 70 points of incidence, 782 positive results, 2 deaths: {Translation, summary} 22/11/2021,12:45
-Andalusia recorded this Monday, November 22, a total of 782 coronavirus infections in 48 hours, a figure higher than the 741 infections on Saturday and also higher than the 338 a week ago, while adding two deaths, two less than on Saturday and one less than last Monday.
-The two deaths of this day have been recorded in the province of Malaga.
-In Andalusia, the incidence in 14 days stands at 71.06 cases per 100,000 inhabitants – the highest since September 20 when 72.9 were recorded – which is 5.3 points more than Saturday (65.7) and 26.5 points more than last Monday.
-The 782 infections this Sunday and Monday are reported after 741 on Saturday, 718 on Friday, 737 on Thursday, 564 on Wednesday, 487 on Tuesday and 338 last Monday.
-With respect to the provincialized data, Malaga is the province with the most positives with 201, followed by Seville with 163, Cadiz with 105, Almeria with 104, Cordoba with 64, Huelva with 51, Granada with 46 and Jaen with 48.
-Malaga is the province with the most hospitalized patients with 68 and 16 ICU patients, followed by Seville with 33 and four in ICU, Jaen with 22 and three in ICU, Cordoba with 20 and three in ICU, Granada with 19 and three in ICU, Almeria with 16 and nine in ICU, Cadiz with 17 and two in ICU and Huelva with 13 and one in ICU.

SPAIN

The new COVID traffic light is approved without setting restrictions after the controversy over hospitality hours: The tensions between the communities and the Ministry of Health on account of the new COVID traffic light have ended, for the moment, with a strange solution: the Public Health Commission has given the green light to lower the accumulated incidence thresholds corresponding to each alert level, but the approved document does not contain any restriction associated with each stage of risk.
-Alert level 1 (low risk) has a new ceiling: it rises from 50 to 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days (a maximum of 50 in seven). The medium risk (alert level 2) is reached if it exceeds 100; the high (alert level 3) is above 300 and the extreme (alert level 4) would be reached with an AI that exceeds 500.
The document maintains special attention to transmission among those over 65 years of age because the group has the highest risk of dying if they are not vaccinated, have comorbidities (other diseases that make them more vulnerable) and in general respond worse to immunization because their body is weaker. Level 1 is reached if the AI ??of this age group exceeds 25 cases; the 2, with 50; the 3, with 150 and the 4 if it is higher than 250.
-Remaining conflicts have prevented reaching a final, complete agreement. The heart of the matter is in the measures on the hotel industry. Many regional governments are not willing, at least for the moment and with the Christmas holidays looming, to limit the activity of the hotel industry, either with schedules or with capacity.
-The review of risk levels is also important at the terminological level. The document no longer speaks of “new normality” as the best scenario but of “controlled circulation”. Compared to what was previously considered, at this point in the pandemic it is relatively clear, experts say, that it is not possible to achieve group immunity. At least with the effect of current vaccines since the virus can continue to be transmitted – to a lesser extent – between immunized individuals.

Scam Alert: The Guardia Civil has taken to its Twitter social media account to warn about a scam involving the popular Lidl kitchen robot ‘Monsieur Cuisine’, which was withdrawn from the market in Spain after a well-publicised court ruling.
The fraudulent campaign, with the excuse of Black Friday, announces an offer of 1.99 euros for a kitchen robot. The advertisement on social media networks the redirects the user to a website that requests personal and bank details for the alleged purchase of the robot, but what it hides is a subscription to a service that costs 33 euros every 14 days.
The fake offer was originally detected on Facebook, although it is not ruled out that may find its way onto other social networks or arrive via email. Full article: https://www.surinenglish.com/spain/lidl-guardia-civil-20211123122420-nt.html

ANDALUCIA

Andalusia is committed to a mandatory Covid passport but positioned itself against the document known as the “Covid traffic light”: {Translation, summary} 23/11/2021, 20:28
-The committee of experts will meet again on Friday at 11.30 am at the Palacio de San Telmo and will ask the Ministry of Health to make the Covid passport mandatory. It rules out for now the application of restrictive measures and the change of provincial levels despite the fact that the evolution of the pandemic is “worrying but not alarming”.
-The Minister of Health, Jesús Aguirre, during his intervention in the press conference following the Governing Council, assured that Andalusia will progressively adopt the “Covid passport” depending on the evolution of the pandemic. This document could be required in hospitals and residences, and also in nightlife, large events, cultural and sports activities.
-For its implementation, the Board will need the “administrative permissibility” of the High Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA), although it will require the Spanish Government to “change the legislation so that the autonomous communities have tools” to combat the pandemic.
-However, “a change in the levels of the provinces or the application of restrictions is not contemplated”, as confirmed by Aguirre.
-Andalusia positioned itself against the document known as the “Covid traffic light”. It included measures such as the closure of the hotel and catering business at 23.00 hours and nightlife at 1.00 hours or the limitation of capacity.
-On Tuesday afternoon, the Public Health Commission met and approved the part of the document which established the indicators and risk levels, but not the restrictive measures mentioned.

Free Bar/Museum to a Manager with children: {Translation} In the heart of the Sierra de los Filabres in Almeria, the City Council of Laroya offers free management of the only bar-museum in the town of just 200 inhabitants. They are looking for a couple, preferably with children between 3 and 10 years old, to also add new students to the rural school.
“Are you looking for a job in a more familiar environment to raise your children? Do you like charming mountain villages? We are waiting for you in Laroya, a wonderful town that continues to fight against rural depopulation”, says the poster of the advertisement.
Laroya, one of the municipalities with the smallest number of inhabitants in the province of Almería, suffers the effects of depopulation, however, it has more than one hundred rural accommodation places.
The mayor of the town, Dolores Moreno has explained that the bar is open and running, but that the current manager has turned 67 years old and is going to retire.
The new managers of the bar will have all the facilities and will only have to pay for electricity, water and maintenance. The premises are equipped with tables, chairs, kitchenware and kitchen, ready to carry out the activity.
The bar-museum is located in the old oil mill of the village that was recently restored and has the machinery that was used to work the oil, being an additional attraction for tourism. To apply for the management of the establishment, you can contact through ayuntamiento@laroya.es. SPAIN

Wave of protests over price hikes puts a damper on financial recovery: Truckers, farmers, auto and metal workers, hairdressers and pensioners are all staging marches against soaring production costs and inflation.
The recovery seems to be right around the corner just when people’s patience has reached its limit amid a blend of different realities and expectations. This is taking the form of growing street unrest: truck drivers have called a three-day strike over Christmas to complain about rising diesel prices; metal workers in Cádiz have been putting up street barricades to protest inflation spikes that are cutting into their salaries; auto workers have called a demonstration in Madrid on Monday over factory shutdowns caused by car chip shortages; consumer associations have already organized several marches against rising electricity bills, and even hairdressers have been staging sit-ins to demand lower value-added tax rates. The common thread is the rising cost of living and, for the self-employed, of running a business. Proposed Law In Public Discussion Phase- Should customers will be able to take their leftovers from restaurants in their own containers?:
-This measure is part of the Royal Decree that regulates and clarifies certain requirements regarding hygiene and marketing of food products that are served in retail establishments, for which the Ministry of Consumer Affairs has opened a public hearing this Monday that will last 15 days.
-The proposal- Bars and restaurants must offer their customers at no cost the possibility of taking food that they have not consumed on the premises, for which they will have to provide reusable or easily recyclable packaging, or accept a container from the consumer himself.
-In addition, to avoid food waste, these establishments may sell products that present defects in shape, size, labeling or packaging when they do not affect their safety and consumers are informed of this circumstance. Electric vehicles- New UK homes will be required to have EV charging stations from 2022: As well as new build properties having to provide charging ports, buildings which have “major renovations” will also be forced to make the upgrade as well. The UK government wants to ban the sale of traditional petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, with hybrids allowed until 2035. Tennis WTA- Chinese tennis player’s call with Olympic chief is not enough: Chinese tennis player Peng Shuai’s video call with International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach did not address or alleviate concerns about her well-being, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) said on Monday.
“It was good to see Peng Shuai in recent videos, but they don’t alleviate or address the WTA’s concern about her well-being and ability to communicate without censorship or coercion,” a WTA spokeswoman said in an e-mail. Football News- Football Super League squabble arrives at the European Parliament: Promoters of the controversial Super League football tournament have sent a letter to EU lawmakers ahead of this week’s vote in the European Parliament on a sports-related report, attacking what they said was the monopoly of Europe’s “self-established” football governing body UEFA.
In particular, they accuse UEFA of not respecting the EU competition law. “The conflicts of interest are obvious as is the incompatibility with EU competition law,” the letter reads.
“UEFA, the self-established ‘governing body’ of European football has, in addition to its alleged regulatory role, also established itself as the monopoly operator of cross-border club football competitions,” it continues. The next pandemic- How Covid-19 has accelerated the emergence of super-bacteria: On occasion of the annual World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, which began on November 18 and runs until November 24, the relevant authorities have sounded the trumpets of the Apocalypse.
Health authorities warn that antibiotics are losing their effectiveness against disease and that humanity faces a future in which any minor infection could prove lethal.
Treatments to counter bacteria are ceasing to work, now at an even greater speed due to excessive and incorrect consumption of antibiotics during the coronavirus pandemic. Cristina Muñoz, co-director of the National Plan against Resistance to Antibiotics (PRAN), paints a dystopian image of a world without antibiotics, where any minor infection could prove lethal: no Caesarian sections, no organ transplants, no meniscus operations, no hip replacements.
“It would be taking a backward step equivalent to 100 years of medical advances,” says Muñoz. Full article: https://english.elpais.com/usa/2021-11-22/the-next-pandemic-how-covid-19-has-accelerated-the-emergence-of-super-bacteria.html

Email Issue Causing False Security Warnings For Gmail Users Monday 22/11/21

Hello Readers,

Some people, all Gmail users so far, are getting a Security Warning when opening todays email issue of DigameXtra. I have investigated, and I believe this is because of an article I posted containing a list of pirate IPTV services that were shut down last week. Evidently, this list contains websites that Gmail has blacklisted. There is no threat. I just checked the whole issue on VirusTotal website scanner and it found no threats. See results: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/494df120d2fba5113e33f425cbbcaa9465e6e4a1bb29b84d126186076fcc1f2b?nocache=1

I’ll watch out for this in the future so as to avoid these kind of email problems.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Naythan, Editor

Andalusia offers the third dose of the vaccine to health workers and those over the age of 60 years: {Translation, summary} 21/11/2021, 10:18
-The Ministry of Health will begin this Monday to administer the third dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 to health and social-health personnel and to the population between 60 and 69 years of age, since until now it has been limited to those over 70 years of age.
-The Minister of Health explained that vaccination with the third dose will be done “gradually, from more to age to less”, starting in the range of 69 to 60 years, and by appointment.
-Andalusia began last September 21 to administer the third dose against Covid-19 from Pfizer or Moderna to the more than 43,554 users of the residences for the elderly, while a few weeks earlier it had begun to inoculate this serum to immunosuppressed patients.
-Last November 5, the self-appointment was opened to obtain a date for the supply of the third dose of the vaccines. As always, this self-appointment can be made through the usual applications (ClicSalud+ and App Salud Responde) and by telephone through Salud Responde and appointment at the health centers themselves. On Thursday it is likely that the storm will recede towards the east and that it will be replaced by another from the north, so that the winter weather will continue, at least, until the weekend, according to the forecasts of the Aemet.

UK weather forecast- Heavy snow to fall ‘for days’ as temperatures fall to -12C: Brits face freezing temperatures from the start of next week along with several days of snow, which could extend as far south as London.
The promise of colder weather is now just a few days away as from Monday the UK can expect sub-zero temperatures, according to WXCharts. Then from there the mercury will fall dramatically and possibly hit -12C by the end of November in what has been called a “little ice age” due to Arctic plumes blowing south.
Much of the country will see sub-zero temperatures next week where it will hover around 0C, with lows of -7C, although it won’t be as cold in the south of England.
The Met Office has warned of heavy snowfall in the north of the UK on Monday, with the cold blast predicted to reach the south by Wednesday night. London could see wintry showers and snow by the end of next week. By November 29 it is set to be also freezing in London, drop to around -4C in Newcastle and in the Scottish Highlands it could get to -12C.
There is not likely to be any relief from the freezing temperatures for weeks as it will hang around -2C to -4C for much of the country. Full article: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/uk-weather-forecast-heavy-snow-25503385

Photos and videos of Peng at a children’s tournament in Beijing published earlier in the day had done little to quell that unease, following a nearly three-week public absence after she alleged that a former senior Chinese official sexually assaulted her.
In a statement, the IOC said Peng began the 30-minute call with its president Thomas Bach by thanking the Olympic organization for its concern.
“She explained that she is safe and well, living at her home in Beijing, but would like to have her privacy respected at this time,” the IOC’s statement said. Full article: https://www.reuters.com/world/china/tennis-peng-shuai-appears-china-tennis-event-organiser-photos-show-2021-11-21/

NASA’s DART mission to crash into an asteroid- What you need to know: DART will help determine whether we can protect the planet from errant space rocks. DART, which stands for Double Asteroid Redirection Test, is NASA’s test run of a futuristic planetary defense system that’ll protect Earth from incoming asteroids by literally slamming spacecraft into them.
Somewhere in our solar system lies a grayish space rock about a half mile wide known as Didymos, which, with a gentle gravitational pull, keeps a companion asteroid on a leash. That second, smaller asteroid orbiting Didymos is DART’s target: Dimorphos.
In late 2022, the DART spacecraft is poised to autonomously navigate toward and collide with Dimorphos when it’s about 7 million miles from Earth — their closest point to Earth. NASA predicts the crash will be strong enough to adjust Dimorphos’s orbital period by a few minutes. Calculations show the impact will bring Dimorphos closer to Didymos.
