Subscription Problems Fix For iCloud.com Email Users: Several readers using iCloud email have reported they have stopped receiving daily email issues. They are still subscribed but iCloud is blocking the delivery of new blog issues. The problem is due to Apple vs Google compatibility issues. If this applies to you, you must contact iCloud email support by phone or email and request they unblock the DigameXtra WordPress blog by “whitelisting” this address: donotreply@wordpress.com
It is a common problem that the Apple iCloud support workers are familiar with. In this manner this problem has been fixed by many Apple users who are DigameXtra followers. Until you get this fixed you can visit the blog directly at https://digamextra.com, and you are still subscribed so you may make submissions.

Daily coronavirus cases in Spain fall slightly to 9,419, while fatalities rise to 182: (Updated Friday 02Oct20, 09:28)
The Spanish Health Ministry on Thursday reported that 9,419 new coronavirus cases have been detected in Spain, down 1,597 from the day before. The number of new Covid-19-related fatalities, however, rose by five from Wednesday to 182. For now, the data is insufficient to confirm a rising or falling trend in either variables, given that the daily number of infections has been oscillating between 9,000 and 12,000 for the last few weeks in Spain, with daily deaths coming in above 100. That said, the latter data point has been very close to 200 in the last four days. Trump joins growing list of virus-infected world leaders: President Donald Trump has joined a growing group of world leaders who have been infected with the coronavirus. At 74, the U.S. president is the oldest head of state to become infected with the virus, and his age puts him at higher risk of serious complications from COVID-19. The First Lady has also tested positive. Full article: https://apnews.com/article/virus-outbreak-donald-trump-health-jair-bolsonaro-boris-johnson-793fe8dc45d284f39389791783f3d64b
Trump gets experimental antibody cocktail to treat COVID-19. What is it? : President Donald Trump’s doctor gave him an experimental antibody cocktail to treat his coronavirus infection. Dr. Sean Conley said the president was given a single 8-gram dose of a “polyclonal antibody cocktail” as a “precautionary measure,” in addition to “zinc, vitamin D, famotidine (Pepsid antacid), melatonin and a daily aspirin,” reads the statement tweeted by White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Trump is also being transported to Walter Reed Hospital in Maryland “for the next few days,” McEnany said Friday evening, McClatchy’s D.C. Bureau reported. So, what is a polyclonal antibody cocktail? According to the developers, Regeneron, it’s a mixture of two different kinds of antibodies that can be administered before someone has been exposed to the coronavirus or as treatment once infected, as is the case with Trump. E10 petrol is considered damaging for older cars according to Dutch reports: The problems with E10 (which replaced 95 fuel last year) which contains as much as 10 per cent sustainable bioethanol means that newer cars produce up to 2 per cent less carbon dioxide, but Dutch motoring organisation Bovag said prior to its launch that it would not be compatible with many older models.
Despite the Europe wide introduction of these new petrol types, pumps in Gibraltar and Spain still refer to 95 and 98 Octane fuel. Full story: https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2020/10/01/e10-petrol-is-considered-damaging-for-older-cars-according-to-dutch-reports/
Paternity ruling nudges Delphine Boel to Belgian royalty: Artist and sculptor Delphine Boel is on the cusp of officially becoming a Belgian princess after a Brussels court ruled in her favor Thursday in a decades-old royal paternity scandal pitting her against former King Albert II.
Her lawyer, Alain de Jonghe, confirmed in a telephone interview with The Associated Press that the court gave his client full satisfaction, recognizing her as the former monarch’s daughter. A statement from her team of lawyers said she would be able to be called princess “Delphine of Saxe Coburg,” and will be set on the same footing as her royal brothers and sisters. You do have to book a Sunday roast but it is well worth it. On the whole a great place to eat and drink that is truly ‘family’ run with Andy, Diane, Nick and Eliza. I thoroughly recommend it! Their number is 643 347 919 or you can look them up on FaceBook. (Mark, Riogordo, markinspain1@gmail.com)

BREXIT- EU starts legal action against UK over deal breach plan: The EU has begun legal proceedings against the UK after it refused to ditch plans to override sections of its Brexit divorce deal. An EU deadline for the government to remove sections of the Internal Market Bill expired on Wednesday.
The “letter of formal notice” could eventually lead to a court case against the UK at the European Court of Justice, the EU’s top court. But the EU has not walked away from talks over a post-Brexit trade deal.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the UK would have until the end of November to respond to the EU’s concerns over the draft legislation.
UK-EU trade talks are continuing in Brussels this week. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said both sides should “move on” if a deal was not reached by mid-October. Full article: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-54370226
AC/DC announces reunion 40 years after ‘Back in Black’: Los Angeles, US, Sep 30 (efe-epa).- After weeks of teasing on their social media channels, Australian rock band AC/DC confirmed Wednesday that they are returning to music with a mostly original line-up. A series of short videos posted to their social media feeds had shown their signature red lightning bolt flickering back to life, until a photo of the line-up came Wednesday.
“Are you ready? #PWRUP,” the band posted alongside a photo of the new composition of the band with its original members: vocalist Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams, now with Angus Young and Stevie Young (deceased guitarist Malcolm Young’s nephew) on guitars.
It has not been announced what exactly #PWRUP will be, but many foresee it to be a new album. Full story: https://www.laprensalatina.com/ac-dc-announces-reunion-40-years-after-back-in-black/
How to keep your Whatsapp Chats safe: You may have heard that Whatsapp chat conversations are being accessed by third parties (as reported here previously), while WhatsApp claims the chats between one-to-one are end to end encrypted.
So how is it possible that WhatsApp chats are accessed by third parties? Well, WhatsApp gives users a feature to back up the chats to cloud storage, which means the chats stored on your phone are uploaded to the cloud. As far as backups are concerned WhatsApp says that chats stored on cloud, be it iCloud or Google Drive, are not protected by WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption. (There are other ways your WhatsApp data can be accessed and modified by hackers beyond the scope of this article. -Ed.)
Keeping this in mind, here are some tips to keep your chats as safe as possible. Full article: https://www.digit.in/features/apps/how-to-keep-your-whatsapp-chats-safe-56684.html

Plastic straws, cotton buds and stirrers banned in England from today: The legislation should have come into force in April but it was put back because of the coronavirus pandemic. From today, it is illegal in almost all circumstances for businesses to give them out to customers, with exemptions in place to protect disabled people and those with medical conditions who require plastic straws.
Pre-pandemic the UK was going through almost five billion straws annually, 316 million plastic stirrers and 1.8 billion cotton buds.

The Swiss city of Geneva is to introduce a minimum wage of £3,500 a month: The minimum hourly wage will be set at just under £19.50 an hour, more than twice the rate in neighbouring France, with a guaranteed minimum monthly salary of 4,086 Swiss francs (£3,457) based on a 41-hour working week, or 49,000 Swiss francs (£41,430) a year, in one of the world’s most expensive cities to live. The minimum wage rise was approved by just over 58% of Geneva voters and the measure will come into effect on 17 October, after having been defeated twice in the past. The UK’s national living wage, the minimum paid to workers over the age of 25, is £8.72. The minimum wage for those younger and apprentices ranges from £4.15 to £8.20 an hour. In France, the minimum wage is €10.15 (£9.28) an hour and €1,539,42 (£1,407.25) a month for a 35-hour working week. On France 3 television it was reported that the measure came after the Swiss city, whose economy depends on tourist and business visitors, had been hit particularly hard by the Covid-19 epidemic with concern about growing queues of people outside food banks. ESCAPE- an exhibition of prints by Nigel Gilbert:
at Bio Beach Club, El Morche, from 1st to 28th October 2020.
I want my hand-made work to be seen as a welcome escape from the manufactured anxieties and antagonisms of today. So here are pictures of life’s unguarded moments, portraits of human character and attitude, landscapes of stillness and solitude, and images conjuring up memories and dreams.
My style is influenced by comics panels and Japanese woodcuts. Ink line and wash are used to set down shapes, tones and textures. Colours washes are overlaid to build up a graphic effect in-depth. I am an award-winning UK artist now living and working in Andalusia. Formerly an architect-illustrator with an international portfolio of clients, I have in recent years exhibited at the Mall and Anise Galleries in London, the National Waterfront Museum, the Oriel Ynyws Mon, and the Royal Cambrian Academy, all in Wales.

UKTVEverywhere IPTV Service Shutting Down: UKTVEverywhere, an IPTV service that streamed UK TV channels globally, has reached a shutdown settlement with the BBC and ITV. After being championed as a great platform by business giant Lord Sugar and outspoken broadcaster Piers Morgan, the domain of UKTVEverywhere is now in the hands of Britbox, the digital subscription service owned by the BBC and ITV.
As many expected, the demise of the service was linked to legal action by BBC Studios and ITV, a fact now confirmed by a message on the site’s homepage. “This domain name has been transferred to the BBC and ITV in settlement of their copyright dispute against its former owner,” it reads. “BBC One, BBC Two, BBC iPlayer, along with ITV and ITV Hub are not lawfully available outside of the UK. It is an infringement of copyright to distribute, publicly perform or reproduce the content on these channels, without the consent of the respective copyright owners, or to induce such infringement.” (see pic)
A joint statement from the BBC and ITV explains.
“As producers and distributors of premium content, we have the right and obligation to take action against piracy, in accordance with relevant laws in the territories we operate. Ensuring that our content is viewed legally, equally ensures we will be able to bring our viewers the programs they love and expect,” the companies say.
“BBC Studios and ITV both produce thousands of hours of quality British programming, which in turn gives vital employment to writers, producers, cast and crew. Illegal streaming of this content means a wide range of workers were being deprived of their rightful earnings.” Full article: https://torrentfreak.com/bbc-itv-reveal-settlement-to-shut-down-uktveverywhere-iptv-service-200930/
Covid-19, What we know so far about Spain’s new plan for high risk zones: Spain’s Health Ministry has drawn up a new plan for municipalities where coronavirus new infection rates soar above an acceptable threshold. The draft proposal which needs the agreement of regional authorities aims to place new restrictions on movement and limit social gatherings in those areas where coronavirus is spiralling out of control.

Golden Leaves Funeral Plans:
Pre-planning your funeral is a thoughtful and responsible way to show you care about your family.
Funerals are no easy task. There are numerous considerations to factor in, including logistics, food and drink, casket purchase and burial grounds. A loved one’s death brings immense emotional strain to any family, and the question of financing and arrangements only exacerbates the stress.
Handling all of these challenges is difficult enough in one’s normal circumstances, but having to go through it while abroad is an enormous burden.
Golden Leaves Funeral Plans aims to support grieving families during these tumultuous times. Since our inception in 1984, we have partnered with a widespread network of funeral directors across the UK and Europe.
Purchasing a funeral plan with Golden Leaves enables you to plan, design and pay for your funeral services in advance.
As one of the leading providers of expat prepaid funeral plans in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands, we make sure to adequately support your family in the time of greatest need.
If you are an expat family in need of prepaid funeral services please contact Ruth on phone or whats app + 34 693 715 718

Vetiver Spain in Sayalonga is now fully open!
We have started to receive clients but by appointment only. It is wonderful to finally be able to have visitors! We are of course following the legal guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.
The summer is a great time to plant Vetiver as this plant is indigenous to India. Vetiver loves the heat of summer to grow. Vetiver is often used as a wind barrier in the fall and winter months. Vetiver is the best plant to stabilise erosion prone locations before the first fall rains come. We have plenty of plants in stock for either pickup or delivery via the Spanish Correos.
It is always a great way to spend a day in the garden. We also have Moringa seeds, Lemon Grass, Moringa seedlings and now our new product, Organic Moringa Powder. If you do not know the medicinal powers of Moringa you can check it out here. https://www.vetiverspain.org/moringa-oleifera-.html
This month we have some specials for both pickup and shipments.

New measures Andalucía- The Junta restricts family gatherings to six people and closes Casariche: {Full article, translated from https://seville.abc.es, updated 29Sep20 16:52h} -The Board begins the screening with massive tests in eleven localities with high incidence in Seville, Jaén, Almería, Córdoba and Málaga -Coronavirus Andalusia: fewer infections than a week ago but mortality increases -The Andalusian Government recommends reducing family gatherings to six people in the community. -It has been decided to restrict mobility in the Sevillian town of Casariche due to the high incidence of the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, during the next 14 days, residents will not be able to leave their homes except for health care, attendance at educational centers, renewal of permits, bank or notarial procedures, attendance at official tests and exams or force majeure. This measure joins those that the City Council can take in terms of capacity, meetings, establishment hours, etc.
The closure of this municipality aims to stop the wave of infections by Covid-19 that is increasing instead of decreasing. Casariche has a rate of 254 positives in the last 14 days and 146 in the last seven, which shows an increase in infections.
This Sevillian town is the one with the toughest measures to fight the pandemic, but there are eleven other municipalities that also have a rate of more than 500 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants. Likewise, a massive screening of rapid antigen tests will be carried out in eleven municipalities : Pulpí, in Almería; Almodóvar del Río, in Córdoba: Jamilena, Los Villares and Linares, in Jaén; Villaverde del Río, Arahal, Paradas and La Campana, in Seville and Sierra de Yeguas and Villanueva de la Concepción, in Malaga.
At the moment, there will be no applied special prevention measures in the Cordovan town of Lucena due to a better evolution of the pandemic in recent days. The same happens with Utrera, a Sevillian town whose mayor has asked the Board for more restrictive measures. However, epidemiological criteria do not recommend new drastic measures, beyond the restrictions that are being approved by the city council led by José María Villalobos. -The restrictions on the number of people recommended by the Andalusian Government, which at the moment are not mandatory, do not apply to the hotel industry or to weddings, baptisms and communions that continue to maintain the same limits.
The reason for this discrimination has been explained by the Health Minister, Jesús Aguirre, who has detailed that “80% of new infections occur in family homes , in living rooms at home.” Although he has detailed that it is not ruled out to continue taking restrictive measures, “if the epidemiological situation demands it.” -Isolated: The Health Minister has also detailed the number of people who are isolated by the coronavirus. According to official data, there are 11,555 people isolated in their homes for having tested positive for coronavirus, although they have not needed hospitalization.
In addition, there are another 26,321 Andalusians who are in preventive isolation at home waiting to obtain the PCR results or because they have had some contact with positives and this has been recommended.
As advanced by the Minister of the Presidency and spokesman for the Andalusian Government, Elías Bendodo , after the meeting of the Governing Council, the provincial committees will decide, based on the criteria of the health experts, measures in the most affected municipalities for 14 days based on the evolution of the pandemic and the epidemiological variables specific to each locality. Salud maintains continuous “monitoring” in each of the Andalusian municipalities. -After advancing these measures, Elías Bendodo publicly requested the central government to apply a single criterion to apply special preventive measures against the advance of the pandemic for all of Spain. Source, Spanish: https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/sevi-coronavirus-andalucia-nuevas-medidas-andalucia-junta-restringe-reuniones-familiares-seis-personas-y-cierra-casariche-202009291346_noticia.html
Is the Halloween nightmare of dealing with red tape in the pandemic the real “Trick or Treat”? : Many would agree with this comparison. Telephones always busy or not answered, a lack of available appointments and complicated procedures online. People are coming up against a barrage of problems with administration, as the authorities struggle to come to terms with the ‘new normal’.

Moonette Aromatic Skincare for 40+ *We are a Torrox based company specializing in the creation of formulas which help prevent premature skin ageing*
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our lives. As we grow older however, our skin will become thinner, more sensitive, less firm and require the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognizing this need we have created a range of formulas which help reduce the appearance of the signs of ageing by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, and also by eliminating blemishes and imperfection.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration and cell revitalization, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients. Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering: * A discount on future purchases to clients recycling containers

Community garden/allotment/huerto?: Are there any people out there who would be interested in getting together with others to find/rent a piece of land to start growing fruit/vegetables/flowers, on a co-operative basis, using permaculture methods? I am interested in being involved in something like this, in the Torrox costa area. Or does something similar already exist? I am interested in Torrox costa area because I do not have a car and don’t want one. So have to find somewhere accessible by public transport or walking.

Recommendations & Requests
Recommendation for Car Clean Malaga: Two years ago we got Warren to clean and valet our two cars. We were so pleased with the results that we asked him to work on the cars again this year after the summer heat had thoroughly baked on the dirt. Normal car washing wouldn’t get it off.
Once again we are delighted with the work he has carried out. Both cars (one of which is very elderly) look superb with the paintwork restored to a lovely shine and minor scratches and dents removed. The interiors look like new and the attention to detail is superb – not a single nook or cranny is missed. Warren collects and returns the car, offers an extremely prompt and efficient service and gives a quote before any work is undertaken.

Juanma Moreno will approve new measures in Andalucia to stop the coronavirus: {Full article translated from https://seville.abc.es} The president of the Board meets with the scientific committee on Monday and on Tuesday he will take the measures in the Governing Council .
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, announced this Saturday that “new decisions” will be made on Monday in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in the community and in some municipalities that are having a higher incidence of this disease.
During his speech at the closing of the Council of Mayors of the Andalusian PP that is being held in Malaga, Juanma Moreno has expressed his concern about the evolution of the pandemic and has justified these new decisions on the need to anticipate an increase in infections.
“Prevention is always better than cure,” said the Andalusian chief executive, who explained that the technical-scientific committee will meet next Monday, and on Tuesday the Governing Council will approve the necessary measures.
Moreno has indicated that there are provinces that “have stopped being protagonists in this sad ranking such as Almería”, but others such as Malaga, which was already at a high level of positives, and “in a special way” Seville, have increased the number of infections .
He has argued the need to anticipate the evolution of the disease to “try not to get run over by this great coronavirus storm”, a policy in which he has framed the acquisition of one million rapid PCR tests with 99% reliability , and another million “in the process of buying”, which will allow to have results in fifteen or twenty minutes.
The Andalusian president has appealed to the unity of all political forces and institutions by stating that they all have to work “in a network and not from ideological trenches.”
After regretting that Spain is in the news for having the highest infection rate in the European Union, he has indicated that Andalusia is “still” in the middle of the national average, something that, however, does not reassure him, as it “worries” the evolution of the pandemic.
For this reason, a contingency plan has been put in place in the hospitals to house, if necessary, 3,000 hospitalized patients, but at the same time, another plan is being worked on to be able to accommodate 4,500 admitted if necessary.
Likewise, he has referred to the situation of educational centers, where despite the “adverse circumstances, 93% do not have any incidence of coronavirus.”
Moreno has highlighted the importance of all citizens “taking seriously” the fight against the pandemic and has asked for caution in family and friends gatherings because they are appointments in which “one feels more confident.”

Health Minister calls for areas with more than 500 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to be isolated, 5 villages in Malaga Province qualify: He also admitted, however, that the Health Ministry can only offer recommendations, and that regional authorities must “decide”.
The 14-day cumulative case incidence figure per 100,000 inhabitants in Andalucía on Friday was 158 and in Malaga province 186. If the 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants advice was followed for every municipality in the country, however, five villages in Malaga province would be closed: Guaro, Jimera de Líbar, Sayalonga, Serrato and Sierra de Yeguas.
Other municipalities with higher incidence rates in Malaga province on Friday were Marbella with 374, Coín with 352, and Ronda 327, among others. The rate for Malaga city was 146.

Recommendations & Requests
Car Hire Question: Does anybody recall using a car hire company based in the UK, called, I think, Malaga Car Hire? I used to phone a UK number, speak to a woman in Surrey, I think, pay in sterling, then pick the car up from Niza Car Hire at the roundabout near Malaga airport, with no additional charges, no pressure to buy additional insurance, no stress at all. The service was always excellent. I have not used them for several years, and wonder if they are still in business. I haven’t been able to find them on the internet, where “Malaga Car Hire” leads to a company based near the airport. Does anybody have any leads or contact details? Peter

Please be careful about believing crisis info posts on Fakebook, Social Media and even mainline news sources:There are tons of hoaxes circulating. BREXIT Banking Update:There are no blanket answers; some banks may close some accounts, while other banks and account types will be unchanged. Until the new Post-Brexit EU/UK banking regulations are finalized there will continue to be questions. Contact your bank for info regarding your specific situation. This article is the latest public info I could find from a reasonably respectable source on UK matters, updated Thursday afternoon, from the BBC. -Ed. Lloyds Bank has written to 13,000 personal and business customers, saying it will no longer be able to offer banking services once the Brexit transition period ends on 31 December: Barclays, Barclaycard and Coutts – are taking similar action. Orca Attacks: Spain has temporarily banned sailboats from a stretch of its northwestern coast after several vessels were damaged in attacks by orcas, or killer whales, in recent weeks.
The week-long ban, which came into effect on Tuesday night, applies to sailboats under 15 metres.
The first attack was reported on August 19th, said the ministry. Since then there had been several more orca attacks against sailboats and small yachts, causing various degrees of damage to the vessels, mostly to their rudders. Confusion over Spain’s plans to grant citizenship for descendants of International Brigades: During the past week, it was widely reported in both the British and Spanish press that the descendants of volunteers who fought in the International Brigade during the Spanish Civil War would be offered citizenship.
Yet when details of the draft bill were published, it appears that the proposal does not stretch to descendants, and includes only the International Brigade veterans themselves.
The misunderstanding stemmed from comments made by Pablo Iglesias. Tweeting last week, the Podemos leader and Deputy Prime Minister Pablo claimed that: “The descendants of the members of the International Brigades who fought for freedom and against fascism in Spain will be eligible for Spanish nationality. It was time for this government to say to these heroes and heroines of democracy: thank you for coming.”

Spanish Supreme Court rules food delivery riders are employees: The Spanish Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that food delivery riders are employees, not self-employed workers. In recent years, some workers hired to deliver goods via apps like Glovo have been demanding recognition as salaried staff and petitioning for the corresponding rights, such as sick leave and paid holidays.
Glovo is one of the many companies to take advantage of what is known as the “gig economy,” a term that refers to workers who are self-employed and work temporary, flexible jobs such as, in this case, delivering food from a range of establishments to customers, or drive for transportation firms such as Uber, or deliver parcels for e-commerce giants like Amazon. Police Chase Italian Pirate IPTV Subscribers: Police in Italy are reporting a large operation against a network involved in IPTV. The Guardia di Finanza says that 58 sites and 18 Telegram channels have been blocked while four IT experts with familiar nicknames have been referred for prosecution along with 1,000 subscribers of pirate IPTV services. GdF says work is now underway to identify around 1,000 pezzotto / IPTV subscribers – some local, some overseas – so that they can be prosecuted for breaches of copyright law and receiving stolen goods. The Spanish government has a hotline to answer all queries from Brits living in Spain about the implications of Brexit, in English. Callers can ring 060 when in Spain or +34 902 887060 if calling from abroad and an automated system will offer the choice of either Spanish or English.
You will then be offered a choice of information on the different issues.
The service also offers the option of speaking to an operator for those requiring further information or with a specific query not dealt with by the automated options. Source: https://www.thelocal.es/20200218/spain-launches-dedicated-brexit-hotline
