¡Minigolf La Herradura!:
Ladies, Gentlemen and Kurt, Hold onto your hats! Your one-way ticket to outdoor family fun and games has arrived on the Costa Tropical.
– As its name would suggest, Minigolf La Herradura is in fact located in the picturesque “Horseshoe” bay, just on the Granada side of the border with Málaga province. There you will find 18 holes designed for the whole family, a mix of easy to intermediate holes modeled on a Scandinavian campsite model.
– Also included is an area for racquet sports and lawn games. Air Badminton (wind permitting), volleyball, practice your tennis short game, paddle tennis basic instruction such as serving and volleying technique and much more. All equipment is provided free of charge. Lawn games include croquet, ring tossing and several games designed for youngsters.
– If that were not enough, there are two petanca (boules) lanes with sets of balls for children and adults and proper “river” sand. Not just for pensioners, if you get a kick out of knocking away your spouse’s or friend’s ball sitting confidently near the “boliche” with your final toss and stealing the game, then age doesn’t matter.
***Drum roll please: All-Inclusive Pricing!***
– That’s right, I kid you not. All of this fun is available for one single price. Admission includes unlimited play for the day. Play some minigolf, head to one of La Herradura’s many fine beachfront eateries and return for more fun later.
– Now is the perfect time to visit Minigolf La Herradura with temperatures still (somewhat) moderate during the day and sweater weather after dark, the grounds are fully lit. Our spring pricing is: six euros for 12 and unders, 8,50€ for 13 and over as well as family discounts such as 2 adults and 2 children for only 25 euros. If your jaw just dropped and you’re in a state of disbelief, feel free to ring proprietor Scott Huston for confirmation on +34 603 416 632.
– Opening hours: We are currently open from 11:30am until 2:00pm and 5:30pm until 9:00pm six days a week (closed Wednesday). It is recommended to call in advance though, because I am a one-man band, so to speak, and may be delayed for one reason or another. Also, there may be a private party booked, thus the course closed.
– We could not be easier to find. We are just two small alleys off the beachfront Paseo, directly behind the children’s playground market, Centro de Salud, post office and childrens’ playground. For more information on parking, a Google map of our location (contact tab), photos, etc, please visit our website: www.minigolflh.es
– Hope to see you soon, Scott Huston/La Herradura

MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.

Congress approves law limiting customer telephone waiting time to 3 minutes and regulating robotic customer service: {Translation, summary}
– The Plenary of the Congress has approved, with the votes in favor of PSOE, PP, Unidas Podemos, ERC, Bildu, PNV, Ciudadanos, Más País-Equo, Coalición Canaria, CUP, Foro Asturias, Teruel Existe and Partido Regionalista de Cantabria (PRC), the law that regulates the customer service and that, among its measures, limits to three minutes the telephone waiting time for customer service and regulates robotic attention. In the vote Vox and Junts decided to abstain.
– The regulation limits the waiting time to be attended by telephone in general services of information, claim and post-sale, a reduction of times that will also benefit the people affected by incidents in basic services of the light, the water or the gas. When the regulation comes into force, companies in these sectors will have to report the reason for the problem and give an estimated time for the restoration of supply within a maximum period of two hours, among other measures.
– As for the limits on the use of answering machines with which companies interact with consumers, the new law determines that the service must be personalized, i.e., it prohibits robotic service, when the customer so requests.
– The text also includes guarantees for the care of vulnerable and disabled people, who will be able to choose the format of communication with the customer service department, and makes it compulsory to make public the customer’s evaluation of the care received.
– The definition of operator, the obligation to guarantee that “95% of the requests for personalized attention are attended”, or that the Administration promotes the collaboration of the Council of Consumers and Users and the associations that integrate it with the organizations of businessmen and companies, are other measures included in the text. Spain’s amended rape law gets final green light:
– An amended Spanish law aimed at fighting sexual violence won final senate and parliamentary approval on Wednesday after undergoing changes to fix a loophole that let some offenders reduce their sentences, freeing more than 100 offenders and securing reduced sentences for almost 1,000 others, court figures show.
– The amended “Only yes means yes” legislation, which reformed the criminal code to define all non-consensual sex as rape, will now become law after being voted through the Senate, Spain´s upper house of parliament.
– The amendment closed the loophole by toughening some of the penalties lowered by the law, and reintroducing a clause relating to violence, intimidation or overriding the victim´s will. But the amendment enraged Podemos, the Socialists´ hardline left-wing coalition partner, which holds the equality ministry and had championed the legislation. “This is not a step forward but a step back in terms of women’s rights,” said Equality Minister Irene Montero, who has blamed the problem on sexist judges misinterpreting the law. ANDALUCIA
Where Did All The EU Covid Recovery Funds Go? Andalucia Refuses To Document Expenditures: {Translation}
– Seven autonomous communities do not publish information on the amount of European recovery funds that they have executed . An issue that is not trivial, because, according to the estimates of the central government, 54% of the European money assigned to Spain from Brussels has to be executed by the autonomies. This is clear from a report prepared by the Court of Accounts (TCU), the first that this body in charge of auditing the public sector accounts makes on the management of the recovery plan.
– TCU auditors have not received data on the execution of the funds received by Castilla y León , Andalucía , Extremadura , the Canary Islands , La Rioja , Cantabria or Galicia. In addition, the Court of Accounts has concluded that four communities do not offer specific data on public tenders and open calls on their web pages. These are Andalusia and Extremadura (which also did not report the execution), Navarra and Asturias.
– Monitoring the execution of European funds is proving difficult for various reasons. The complexity and bureaucratic burden of the mechanism are mixed with the Spanish administrative labyrinth, with three levels of administration (central, regional and local) involved.
– The government has boasted on several occasions that three out of every four euros of the funds budgeted in 2021 and 2022 have already reached the economy, but the reality is more complex. That 75% of supposed execution are “recognized obligations”, an accounting concept that does not actually reflect the payments that have been made under the plan. For example, the funds mobilized from the central government to the autonomous communities count as recognized obligations, even though the regional administration has not executed what it has received.

MARBELLA
Health workers claim hospital is ‘on brink of collapse’ due to staff shortages:
– Workers at the Costa del Sol hospital in Marbella are demanding the Andalusian regional government address a claimed major shortage of staff at the health facility. Employees went on a 30-minute strike on Tuesday, 25 April, at the outpatients’ door of the hospital to demand an increase in staff to help spread the workload.
– The employees claim the intensive care unit is equipped to accommodate 15 patients, but was only staffed with enough workers to care for ten. Workers also claimed there was no specialist technician dedicated to the blood bank unit. They also said that staff shortages had escalated to a critical point in the accident and emergency department, where there were delays for triage of more than 15-20 minutes. Editor’s Note: A US military data leak occurred a few weeks ago, over 100 pages of secret docs were released on a website for gamers and then quickly posted to social media. I have delayed reporting on this until now, waiting for verification, as anything can be faked these days. It seems to be true after all. Here is an article explaining what is known, according to a mainstream US media source, so they are probably leaving out anything embarrassing to Washington. This just explains what is generally accepted as accurate.
4 Major Takeaways From the Leaked Pentagon Files:
– Several allegedly classified Pentagon files, totalling over 100 pages, were leaked on social media last week (first week of April). The existence of the documents, which were found circulating on social media sites as early as Wednesday, was first reported by the New York Times and provide key details on issues ranging from battlefield vulnerabilities in Ukraine to intelligence on matters in allied countries around the world. The leak could be one of the most damaging public breaches of U.S. intelligence since thousands of classified documents were published through WikiLeaks. St George’s Church Málaga: We are part of the Church of England in Spain covering the area from Torremolinos in the west to the outskirts of Nerja in the east and to the northern edge of Malaga province.
We have three worship centres, in Velez-Málaga, Málaga city and Salinas. Everyone is welcome to our Sunday services in English, and you can also contact us to enquire about baptisms, marriage blessings, funerals, and house blessings.
Father Louis, our Chaplain, is available for counsel and support, regardless of anyone’s beliefs or background. We aspire to be a welcoming and inclusive community, open to all people seeking faith and friendship.
If you can’t get to church, we live-stream our Sunday services on Facebook, and also gather on Zoom for an informal service on Wednesday mornings.
Sign up for our newsletter by emailing Father Louis at malagachaplain@gmail.com to receive login details, and news of other future events. We look forward to welcoming you and being of service.
