How to post more photos than the rules allow – use collages. You can combine several of your photos into a single collage photo by using this free (you need to provide email) online collage creation tool. It’s very easy to use, give it a try! https://www.fotor.com/create/collage/

Correcting flawed submissions: If you send an incorrect submission, or you forget to include the photos, please send in a new, full corrected submission and ask me to ignore the previous, incorrect submission. I am too busy to keep track of partial submissions in different emails and patch them together. Your cooperation is appreciated.

PLEASE READ!: If you use a non-Spanish phone number please type it  exactly as it is dialed from Spain. I am getting complaints from readers who say some provided phone numbers are being submitted with a variety of country codes and are either missing, or have extra, digits. These are unreachable, so you are missing replies. See example in Recommendations.

Phoenix Events: The Phoenix club is based in Torre del Mar.
March
6th – Gib €12pp 08.30 start
27th – Trip to Ecija, Seville Province with guide €22pp includes visiting 3 monuments. Also known by the nickname of the “city of towers”, because 11 towers, nine steeples, and a great many churches, palaces and viewing points rise above its houses, Écija constitutes one of finest collections of monumental buildings in the province. Bordering on the province of Córdoba, 88 km from Seville, stands Écija, a wealthy cereal producing town on the banks of the river Genil. It was Phoenician and later Roman, from which period it still preserves a splendid collection of mosaics. Outstanding among the religious monuments are the churches of Santa María, from the 18th century; San Gil, from the 15th century and in the Gothic-Mudejar style; Concepción, from the 17th century; and Descalzos, a baroque church from the 17th century. Prominent examples of civil architecture are the wonderful palaces, some of them declared to be National Monuments, like that of the Marquis of Benamejí, from the 18th century, or Peñaflor, famous for its long balcony and its paintings on the façade. The squares, fountains and miradors complete this exceptionally beautiful urban and architectural ensemble.
April
3rd – Gib €12pp 08.30 start
All our trips include the driver’s gratuity of €1.

DoctorLaptop’s famous Annual Clean & TuneUp Service: For Windows & Mac. New “fileless” malware formats evade standard anti-virus programs, making it difficult for typical users to “dis-infect” computers themselves with free, consumer level tools.  If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance an annual professional servicing with advanced professional grade tools is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? If you did, the engine replacement  will cost far more than if you had properly maintained it with monthly oil topups and an oil change once or twice a year. It’s the same with computers, you should do a quick cleanup yourself once a month, and get an annual professional service. I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files and permissions, replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use a 5 tool malware/adware/spyware removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows/Mac+all drivers+programs and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance. Job usually completed overnight. Heavily infected comps or those showing error messages need a repair, not a maintenance service. Hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10 and may require 2 days to complete.
ALSO: Computer and tablet repairs, lessons, websites/blogs/forums/SEO, business computer maintenance & security service.
Windows, Apple/Mac, Linux, Android.

Recommendations

Mags of the e-bike: Dear Mags, Something wrong with the number you listed on digame. I am interested if it’s still for sale, please contact me; Julia Nerja 694448600 (Spanish number, also WhatsApp)

Watch Repair: These days watch repairers are hard to find. If you go to a watch dealer they are more interested in selling you a new one, so a good reasonably priced reliable repairer is worth travelling to.
I can recommend Guillermo Dominguez. He has a workshop on the third floor of 9 Calle Comedias, 29008 Malaga. There are two car parks near the building. His email is gdominguezleon@hotmail.com and his phone number is 952 22 17 19. He speaks just Spanish.
He is a registered repairer of Omega, Citizen, Suunto, Tag Heuer, Tissot, Calvin Klein, Certina, Zenith, Balmain, Mido, Rado, Longines etc.
I have had 3 dive computers and a watch repaired by him – the quality of his work is outstanding. Vic/Puente Don Manuel. victor.calland at googlemail DOT com

Renfe is hiring: These are highly sought after career jobs with good pay, benefits and retirement plans. The operator has published a call for the 2020 job offer to cover a total of 550 entry level machinist/driver positions. Of them, 475 are statewide and 75 to fill positions in Catalonia, of which ten are reserved to cover cross-border traffic service tables with France. Those interested in participating in this job offer, whose bases are included in the Renfe website, must hurry because the deadline to register ends on February 28.
In addition to the general requirements, such as being a Spanish citizen, from any EU country or legally residing in Spain, applicants must be in possession of the valid category B rail vehicle driving license or be in possession of a driving license and the diploma that certifies the minimum general knowledge necessary for the category B certificates in force; have the certificate of psychophysical aptitude in force according to art. 63 of Order FOM 2872/2010, of November 5; have availability to work shifts and have geographic availability in the scope of the call.
The selection process will consist of three parts. Windows Alert by DoctorLaptop. Bad Updates Released Last Week!: KB4524244 and KB4502496. All versions of Windows.
Microsoft’s February security updates, released last week, came with plenty of technical bumps. Microsoft reported issues after its Feb. 11 security updates got applied.
If these updates installed correctly you can leave them alone. The problems occur when the update installation fails. Evidence of a failed update install include corrupt User Profile (error message- User Profile Cannot Be Found, at login), or a cryptic popup message that “you do not have permission to initiate a shutdown” when you try to log off.
If you find yourself with one of these problems, bring it in to DoctorLaptop in Torrox Costa for repair (675 993 069). Unless you know what you are doing, poking around aimlessly attempting to fix it will just make it harder for me to sort out. (DIYer Hint: Connect computer to your router with an ethernet cable so Windows can access repair files if necessary as wifi will be unavailable at this point. Boot from a recovery flash drive to access recovery tools. You may have to try several recovery methods before one works. If you don’t already know what these tools are and in what order to run them, then this task is probably above your user level! Watch some Youtube video tutorials before starting.)  This is not the place to try the poke-and-hope method! These tools can cause severe damage if used improperly. On some models, especially low budget or older laptops upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10, the repair can be very complicated, requiring an off-line BIOS recovery flashing (processor micro-code re-install) before the Windows system recovery can be attempted. Beware, an incorrect BIOS flash can permenently break your processor!
