Motorists warned about overnight traffic disruption on Costa del Sol due to resurfacing of 30km stretch A-7, plus more disruptions at Axarquia tunnels:
– Motorists have been warned to expect traffic disruptions along the Costa del Sol due to road works on the A-7 motorway. The works will be carried out between kilometre points 1,013 and 1041 (28 kilometres), as it passes through the municipalities of Fuengirola, Mijas and Marbella. There will be lane closures during the late evening and early hours of the morning, usually between 10pm and 6am, although the circumstances will vary depending on the day and the progress of the work, the Ministry of Transport warned.
– At the other end of the province, on the Axarquia coast, the central government’s work is focused on improving and adapting the Lagos, Torrox and Capistrano tunnels.

Prices climbed by 2.6% in Malaga in June, compared to the average 1.9% in Spain:
– The increase in food prices has slowed but it continues to climb at a rate of 10.3% both in the province and the country.

Rincón de la Victoria will celebrate its XX Comedy Festival from July 20 to 22 with three top-level shows: {Translation, summary}

EU Pushes On With Plans To Confiscate 70% Of Farmland Despite The Issue Causing The Collapse Of The Dutch Gov’t Last Week- EU lawmakers pass nature restoration bill in razor-thin vote, goes to final vote in months:
– The European Parliament has accepted a key biodiversity bill that will see the restoration of CO2-storing peatlands but has been criticized by farmers and other opposition groups due to fears they might lose land. The lawmakers supported the European Commission plan in a razor-thin 324-312 vote with 12 abstentions. The full chamber had to vote on the bill after a parliamentary commission failed to agree on a position.
– Immediately after its approval, lawmakers started voting on more than 100 amendments in a bid to adjust the plan. These amendments will be negotiated with the member states of the EU, signifying a months-long process before the final law can be approved.
