Parking at Minigolf La Herradura:
-Important Notice: Mingolf La Herradura will remain closed until Saturday 22 July. I will confirm, I hope, the reopening in next Friday’s DigameXtra Sponsor’s post. Sorry for any inconvenience.
PS: If there is a change in advance of the 22nd, it will be posted on our website, www.minigolflh.es . Also, it is best to contact me using WhatsApp, 603 416 632. Missed phone calls without a message, may go unanswered at present.
-High Season! After some heavy lifting, measuring and painting the first two-thirds of the Minigolf La Herradura plot is now home to 20 parking spaces available for daily parking. If you are planning on spending the day in La Herradura this summer holiday, you could not ask for a more central location.
There is a large bathroom available as well as a picnic table where self-catering is allowed. Security cameras cover the entire plot. You could almost call this “boutique” parking. As such I highly recommend that you call in advance for reservations.
-Opening Hours and Admission fee: A daily pass costs 10 euros with opening hours every day from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m, until at least 11 September. This admission fee is for the day’s worth of unlimited Minigolf play, parking offered free as needed. As always, feel free to ring me with any questions you might have on +34 603 416 632.
-“Guerilla” nine-hole course: In this seasonal makeover, the full 18-hole Minigolf is complete and easily playable. It has tucked in nicely at the back in the space previously used for racquet sports and one petanca lane. The only difference from before is shorter spacing from one hole to the next.
The second petanca lane has been converted into what I refer to as the nine hole “guerilla” course, the reason being that you decide the layout of the holes in whatever sneaky way you prefer. Nine actual holes are provided and there are various obstacles spread about. The players then decide how they want to arrange them, and where the hole will begin. It’s a fun way to create longer “holes” criss-crossing each other and there is no wrong design. A lot of fun in a small space.
-Location: We are very easy to find, albeit obscured from the beachfront Paseo Andrés Segovia. (See picture at the top. The red arrow reflects the fact these little alleys are one-way streets.). We are directly behind the children’s playground and just behind the Centro de Salud, post office and newly remodeled market/food court. Please visit our website: www.minigolflh.es , contact tab, for full Google map.
Saludos, Señor El Parking, Scott Huston / La Herradura

Our biggest Summer SALE 25% Off has kicked off on ETSY! Grab the great opportunity to upgrade your skincare routine and self care this summer. Your skin deserves safe, best quality, non-toxic treatments.
MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.

FACUA denounces that the same product can be up to 40% more expensive depending on the city in which it is purchased: {Translation}
– The consumer organisation found that in Alcampo the same product can be up to 40% more expensive depending on the city in which it is bought after analysing 30 articles included in this comparative study. In 15 of the 30 products analysed, the difference between the most expensive and the cheapest price is more than 15%. Only in eight of them is the price variation between cities less than 10%.
– Thus, a 110-gram packet of Navidul brand Iberian cured ham costs 5.98 euros in Madrid, while in Valencia it is sold at 8.35 euros, which is 39.6% more expensive. A 1.25 litre bottle of Coca Cola costs 1.24 euros in Valencia, while in Barcelona the same product costs 1.71 euros (37.9% more), while Scottex toilet paper (32 rolls) costs 10.18 euros in Valencia, while in Barcelona it costs 13.29 euros (30.5% more).
– Of the thirty products on sale in Alcampo included in this study, eight have the lowest price in Seville, seven in Barcelona, six in Madrid and Valencia and only one in Bilbao. For the two remaining items, the lowest price is shared by more than one city.
– In turn, eight of these products have the highest price in Bilbao, seven in Barcelona and two in Seville. For the other nine items, their highest price is shared between establishments in different capitals.
– While in Carrefour, 19 of the 30 products analysed have the same price in these five cities. Moreover, those that vary tend to have two prices: one for Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, and another for Seville and Bilbao.
– Facua has specified that the most notable price difference in this distribution chain, leaving aside fruit and vegetables, is the Milka Shake chocolate milkshake, whose price is 1.53 euros in Barcelona and Valencia, and 1.73 euros in Seville (13% more expensive).
– Meanwhile, in Mercadona, 29 of the 30 products compared have the same price regardless of where they are bought. The only one that varies among the thirty products analysed is Coca Cola 1.25 litres, whose price is 1.49 euros in Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Bilbao, and 1.72 euros in Barcelona, which is 15.4% more. BBC presenter at centre of sex photo scandal named as lead anchor Huw Edwards:
– One of Britain’s leading television news anchors, Huw Edwards, was identified by his wife on Wednesday as the BBC presenter facing allegations he paid a young person thousands of pounds for sexually explicit photos, the broadcaster reported.
– His wife, Vicky Flind, said she was making a statement out of concern for Edwards’ mental health and to protect their children, after the initial report by the Sun newspaper dominated the news agenda and sparked days of speculation.
“Huw is suffering from serious mental health issues. As is well documented, he has been treated for severe depression in recent years,” Flind said in a statement, according to the BBC. “The events of the last few days have greatly worsened matters, he has suffered another serious episode and is now receiving in-patient hospital care where he’ll stay for the foreseeable future.”
– The story first broke on Friday when the Sun tabloid reported a leading BBC presenter had paid a young person 35,000 pounds ($45,000) for explicit photos over three years, beginning when the person was 17. CLIMATE CHANGE
Land surface temperatures in Spain surpass 60C as deadly heatwave sweeps Europe:
– Bosses at Copernicus point out that the land surface temperature is that of the soil and should not be confused with the air temperature.
– The temperature of the ground in some areas of Spain has hit more than 60C during the deadly heatwave sweeping Europe, satellite recordings have shown. On Tuesday, satellites recorded the land surface temperature in some areas of Extremadura in Spain at more than 60C. The 60C land temperature was recorded by the sea and land surface temperature radiometer (SLSTR) instrument, which is a feature of Copernicus Sentinel-3 satellites. So hot in fact, the red scale turned black on thermo-maps!
– A total of 13 autonomous communities were categorised as being at extreme risk (red alert), significant risk (orange alert), and risk (yellow alert), with some places recording 43C.
