Parking at Minigolf La Herradura:
-Important Notice: Mingolf La Herradura will remain closed until Saturday 29 July. I will confirm, I hope, the reopening date in next Friday’s DigameXtra Sponsor’s post. Sorry for any inconvenience.
PS: If there is a change in advance of the 29th, it will be posted on our website, www.minigolflh.es . Also, it is best to contact me using WhatsApp, 603 416 632. Missed phone calls without a message may go unanswered at present.
-High Season Parking: After some heavy lifting, measuring and painting the first two-thirds of the Minigolf La Herradura plot is now home to 20 parking spaces available for daily parking. If you are planning on spending the day in La Herradura this summer holiday, you could not ask for a more central location.
There is a large bathroom available as well as a picnic table where self-catering is allowed. Security cameras cover the entire plot. You could almost call this “boutique” parking. As such I highly recommend that you call in advance for reservations.
-Opening Hours and Admission fee: A daily pass costs 10 euros with opening hours every day from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m, until at least 11 September. This admission fee is for the day’s worth of unlimited Minigolf play, parking offered free as needed. As always, feel free to ring me with any questions you might have on +34 603 416 632.
-“Guerilla” nine-hole course: In this seasonal makeover, the full 18-hole Minigolf is complete and easily playable. It has tucked in nicely at the back in the space previously used for racquet sports and one petanca lane. The only difference from before is shorter spacing from one hole to the next.
The second petanca lane has been converted into what I refer to as the nine hole “guerilla” course, the reason being that you decide the layout of the holes in whatever sneaky way you prefer. Nine actual holes are provided and there are various obstacles spread about. The players then decide how they want to arrange them, and where the hole will begin. It’s a fun way to create longer “holes” criss-crossing each other and there is no wrong design. A lot of fun in a small space.
-Location: We are very easy to find, albeit obscured from the beachfront Paseo Andrés Segovia. (See picture at the top. The red arrow reflects the fact these little alleys are one-way streets.). We are directly behind the children’s playground and just behind the Centro de Salud, post office and newly remodeled market/food court. Please visit our website: www.minigolflh.es , contact tab, for full Google map.
Saludos, Señor El Parking, Scott Huston / La Herradura

Our biggest Summer SALE 25% Off has kicked off on ETSY! Grab the great opportunity to upgrade your skincare routine and self care this summer. Your skin deserves safe, best quality, non-toxic treatments.
MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin

We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.

Recycling dilemma: Carol raises the question that we frequently ask. Every time we go to the main recycling bins near to the football ground, there are always the wrong items in the wrong bins. Not sure how complicated it is for people to work out that glass should go into the bin marked glass etc, but we always recycle and wonder if we are wasting our time if the rubbish is not then sorted at a centre somewhere. Does it all go into the same hole in the ground somewhere?

Supermarkets are pocketing the IVA savings that was supposed to provide relief to consumers:
– Facua has made a formal complaint against large store chains after detecting price increases in more than 400 products, notably fruit, vegetables and olive oil after the IVA sales tax rebate came into effect.
– In June, food prices in Spain closed with a rise of 10.3%, according to data from the national statistics institute (INE) which is still very high but represents a significant drop on the 16.5% seen in February and March.
– The government argues that the IVA (Spanish sales tax) rebate on staple foods, is containing the level of food inflation that has been registered for the last three months. However, behind this containment there are foods affected by the rebate that continue to rise in price on the shelves of large supermarket chains.
– Facua has announced that it is going to pass the complaints to the Spain’s National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) that it has already filed in previous months against the eight large supermarket chains (Alcampo, Aldi, Carrefour, Dia, Eroski, Lidl, Hipercor and Mercadona) where it has found irregularities.
– In July, the highest number of price anomalies were found at Aldi, where 60% of the reduced IVA products analysed were more expensive than before the measure. This was followed by Carrefour and Alcampo, while Lidl and Mercadona were the two chains where the fewest irregularities were found, 43% and 33% respectively. Brussels corrects the Spanish government and rebukes Sánchez admin, says they promised motorway tolls by 2024: {Translation}
– The European Commission has corrected the Government on Thursday and confirmed that the Spanish recovery and resilience plan approved by Brussels includes a commitment to adopt a law on sustainable mobility and transport financing and to introduce a road charging mechanism from 2024, although just three days ago the Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, “categorically” denied this.
– “We understand that the Spanish plan refers to a road charging mechanism that will start in 2024 in line with the ‘polluter pays’ principle,” the Commission’s economic spokesperson Veerle Nuyts confirmed at a press conference.
– The measure was announced a week ago by the Director of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), Pere Navarro, and later denied by the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, who considered the controversy surrounding the possible payment of a toll for the use of motorways in Spain to be “settled” and denied “categorically” that it would be paid.
– However, the EU executive has confirmed that the measure appears in the plan that was approved by both Brussels and the member states and is linked, specifically, to the disbursement of the fifth tranche of the plan, which amounts to more than 8,000 million euros. “We will evaluate this measure when we reach the fifth payment request from Spain, so it is not a discussion for today,” the Commission spokeswoman added.
– This is also included in the text of the plan to which Brussels gave its approval, which specifies that the measure aims to “internalise the external costs of road transport, creating incentives to achieve greater efficiency in this sector and leading to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions”.
