MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.

SPAIN
Spain Socialists win speaker role with Catalan parties’ help:
– Spanish lawmakers on Thursday elected Francina Armengol, an ally of caretaker Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, as speaker of Spain’s parliament. Armengol who is the former leader of the Balearic Islands region, where Catalan is widely spoken, received a majority of 178 votes in the 350-seat chamber. The votes came from Sanchez’s Socialist party, their left-wing ally Sumar, the Basque and Galician nationalist parties, and the Catalan separatist parties Junts (Together) and Esquerra Republicana (ERC).
– Sanchez hopes he can also use the Catalan separatist parties’ support in an investiture vote to form a new government, which is expected later in August or in early September.
– In return for their support in the election of Armengol, the Socialists and their radical left ally Sumar agreed to four demands, Junts said, stressing that the deal was “not linked to the investiture vote.”
– Junts said the agreement included the recognition of Catalan as an official EU language and the use of Catalan in the parliament. It also involved setting up two inquiry panels into the 2017 Barcelona terror attacks and the use of Pegasus software to spy on Catalan separatists.
-In her first address as speaker, Armengol announced that Catalan, Basque and Galician, which are official languages in some Spanish regions, could now be used in debates in the national parliament.
– Congratulating Armengol, Sanchez said, “We are already working for a new legislature that is about progress and peaceful coexistence.” Full article: https://www.dw.com/en/spain-socialists-win-speaker-role-with-catalan-parties-help/a-66562739
ANDALUCIA
A new heat wave will hit Andalusia from Sunday: {Translation, summary}
– Temperatures will be high in the coming days, especially in the eastern part of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, but from the weekend “the heat will intensify and spread to most of the country.” “It will be a new warm episode, with unusually high temperatures for the time,” added the Aemet spokesman.
– Between Sunday and Tuesday the temperatures, both maximum and minimum, will be very high for the season; they will be between 5C and 10C above normal in large areas of the country.
– In Andalusia it is expected that as of Sunday the thermometers in several provincial capitals will exceed 40C. The maximum peak will be recorded by Córdoba with about 43C, followed by Seville with 42C and Jaén with 40C. The province in which the maximum will be the lowest in the entire autonomous community will be Malaga with 30C.
– It will reach up to 40C in the Ebro, Tagus, Guadiana, Guadalquivir valleys and in other areas such as the Mediterranean even with lower temperatures “the feeling of muggy weather will be intense due to the high relative humidity”. This will also mean a return to the nights of tropical temperatures in which it is more difficult to fall asleep.
– “With all this, it cannot be ruled out that the warm episode could end up being a new heat wave; it would not last long, since it is likely that temperatures will begin to drop on Wednesday,” explained the Aemet spokesman. AXARQUIA
The Junta authorizes the use of new reclaimed water for irrigators in the Axarquia region: {Translation}
– The water situation in the Axarquia is critical. Farmers have not had access to water from the Viñuela for months and many municipalities in the region have been forced to cut water at night and prohibit drinking water in different activities to conserve the few water reserves that remain in the region today. Now, the Junta de Andalucía has temporarily authorized the use of new reclaimed water from the Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) of Torrox-IARA, Torrox-arroyo Manzano, Algarrobo and Rincon de la Victoria. MALAGA PROVINCE
The demand for private water tanks and irrigation extends throughout the province: {Translation, summary}
– The demand for water tanks began to increase a few weeks ago and continues to skyrocket today. This increase in interest in buying these tanks has caused the companies that provide them to be overwhelmed. In some of them there is a waiting list and in others customers must place their orders a week in advance.
– Regarding the litres of water in each tank, the volume varies depending on the client, but it usually ranges between 10,000 (gardens) and 25,000 liters (pools). Source, Spanish: https://www.malagahoy.es/malaga/demanda-cubas-particulares-extiende-provincia_0_1821119045.html
TORROX
The mayor of Torrox is pleased at having guaranteed the water supply during the bridge holiday of the Assumption to the El Morche feria: {Translation}
– Óscar Medina {pic} thanks “the effort and understanding of neighbours, visitors and the concessionaire Aqualia” to the saving measures and the “rational use of water”.
– The mayor of Torrox, Óscar Medina, has positively assessed having guaranteed the supply of drinking water to the population during the last bridge of the Assumption and the Fair of El Morche, whose dates have coincided. Medina recalled that these days of August the population has quadrupled “to the excellent data of tourist and hotel occupancy and nearly 100,000 visits that has registered the Fair of El Morche”. For the mayor of Torrox, “it has been an extraordinary challenge in the hardest moment of the drought”, for which he thanked again “the effort and understanding of neighbours, visitors and the concessionaire Aqualia” before the saving measures and the “rational use of water”.
– In fact, as Óscar Medina indicated, in the last few hours it has been possible to reduce the occasional cuts in the supply, as has occurred during the early hours of Thursday, August 17, although “we must not be triumphalist and will continue the saving measures to ensure the supply and efficient use of water”. Medina has insisted that the City of Torrox and the company Aqualia will continue “working 24 hours a day seven days a week to continue to ensure the supply while waiting for the long-awaited rains in the short and medium term”. The Mayor of Torrox also expressed special thanks for the work being done by all the workers and management staff of Aqualia. Medina said that “we will always be on the lookout for any problems, as the water supply is fundamental and essential for everyone”.
– Óscar Medina also highlighted “the challenge” of maintaining the supply during the El Morche fair “to guarantee the supply to so many companies that create jobs at a time when the Torrox brand was at stake”. For the mayor of Torrox, “have been momentous days in which we have been able to live up to the support and understanding of the citizenship”.
– Medina recalled, on the other hand, that the City of Torrox continues to work on new measures to maintain and ensure the supply, as in the case of the project valued at 1.2 million euros for the construction of a new reservoir of 5,000 cubic meters in El Morche and for which a location is being studied. This reservoir, explained the mayor, would complement the existing 3,000 cubic meters in the area of La Rabitilla and 2,000 cubic meters in the area of Colina del Sol. All this with the aim of facing “the moments of difficulty of Axaragua”, the public company that supplies the municipality.
– At the same time, the mayor of Torrox recalled that “we are still working on the project of a desalination plant exclusively for the municipality, which can be a good solution, especially for the agricultural sector”. As he recalled, an initiative that would add to the desalination plants for the region projected by the Junta de Andalucía and the central government.
– In addition, he also stressed “the effort made to prevent leaks of drinking water” in the municipal network of Torrox, with an investment, in this regard, of almost three million euros, “something that has helped us to face these hard times of drought with more guarantees than in other municipalities of the Axarquia.
