MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin

We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.

Axarquia Animal Rescue – Voluntary Charity – non profit organisation
CIF G93245116 Charity Number 10567 (Spain)
Email: axarquia-rescue@hotmail.com
Website: www.axarquiaanimalrescue.com
These are 4 of our dogs looking for homes of their own. All are fully vaccinated, chipped and have passports, except Feliz. Tina & Calie are both neutered, Freddie is not old enough to be neutered yet, and Feliz will start his vaccinations soon, and neutered when the vet recommends it. Please take a look at our website, where you will find more information and photos, plus details of other dogs and pups that we have in our care. Our adoption costs are 110e for pups that have been fully vaccinated, rabies, chip and passport and 180e for older dogs that have all vaccinations, papers and have been neutered. This contributes towards their vet and care costs, and helps us to continue rescuing abandoned dogs and cats. Please email for more info.
– Freddie AAR 2673 – DOB 20.03.23
Freddie is a loving, confident pup, full of life and fun. His mum is only small, but we think Freddie will be more medium to large in size. Currently he is living in kennels, but would really benefit from living in a foster home, or better still a home of his own. He gets on well with other dogs, but hasn’t met any cats yet.
– Calie AAR 2612 – DOB 02.10.17 (estimated)
Calie has been in a foster home since November 22, when she was found with her litter of pups. Her pups have all been adopted, and Calie is ready for a loving home of her own. She is good with other dogs, a little shy and nervous of new people, but soon overcomes this when brushed.
– Tina AAR 2596 – DOB 02.02.19
Tina sadly has had a few upheavals this last year, and is in need of a new home. Tina is very gentle, and loves to be the centre of attention. She does understandably fret with changes, and needs a secure stable home. Tina will make a lovely companion, and would love nothing more than being by someone’s side all day.
– Feliz AAR 2701 – DOB 01.11.22 (estimated)
Feliz arrived at the right house at the right time. A terrified bag of bones, but his finders took him in, and showed him how nice it is to live in a home. Feliz soon relaxed, and started to play with the resident cats and dogs. He is gradually gaining weight, and has had a basic vet check. He plays well, no roughness, and has been good in the house. Good in the car, and good at the vets. Feliz will start his vaccinations soon.

SPAIN

Feijóo could become Spain’s PM in September through parliament vote:
– The head of Spain’s conservative opposition Popular Party (PP) Alberto Núñez Feijóo will face a parliamentary debate and vote to become prime minister in late September, the president of the parliament said Wednesday.
– The announcement comes a day after Spain’s King Felipe VI called on PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo to seek to form a new government, despite his party not having a majority following a snap general election on July 23rd that produced a hung parliament.
– The two-day debate will start on September 26th with the vote on Feijóo’s bid on the 27th, said president of the parliament Francina Armengol.
– The PP won the most seats but neither it nor acting Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s Socialists emerged with a clear path to achieve the 176-seat majority needed to win an investiture vote and take office.
– On the face of it, Feijóo will fall short as his PP has 137 parliamentary seats while potential allies far-right Vox and two small regional parties only have 33 between them. If pooled, those would give a PP-led coalition only 172 votes.
And if Feijóo fails to get a majority during a first investiture vote, he will face a second vote where just a simple majority of more yes than no votes are needed (and 172 votes will be sufficient to win).
– If Feijóo loses again, the king has to pick a new candidate – most likely Sánchez, whose party finished second, but he has the right to choose someone else. {Has everyone forgotten that for many years PM Sanchez did nothing to end the exile, since 2014, of the King’s father Juan Carlos I, the previous King? He was stuck in exile until just this year. The King remembers it very well. Payback is a b***h. – Ed.}
– If no candidate secures a majority within two months of the first investiture vote, new elections have to be called, which has happened with elections in both 2015 and 2019.
– Sánchez wants to return at the head of a “progressive” government of the centre and radical left, and insists he could garner more votes than Feijóo. He has the support of far-left formation Sumar and could cobble together a majority with the support of Catalan and Basque pro-independence parties. (…another reason the King is reluctant to support Sanchez. Sanchez is willing to let Catalonia & the Basque regions become fully independent if they will support him. Giving away the King’s prime real estate, and Barcalona, Spain’s second largest city, is never a good idea if you want the King’s support. -Ed.)
– But Catalan separatist parties have set a high bar for their support, calling for a sweeping amnesty for hundreds of activists facing legal action for their role in a failed 2017 independence bid and it is not likely Sánchez will be able to reach a deal with them.
– The PP has in the past reached deals with Catalan and Basque separatist parties but its alliance with Vox – which is fiercely opposed to separatism – means they are not an option this time around. MALAGA PROVINCE

British resident tied up, gagged, beaten and robbed in his home in Alhaurín el Grande:
– A British man in his 60s was tied up, beaten and robbed in his home in Alhaurín el Grande in Malaga’s Guadalhorce valley earlier this week. The attackers demanded to know “where is the money?”, leading police to believe that they knew that there was a considerable amount of money in the property. The thieves fled with around 12,000 euros in cash, money which the owner of the house had received as a deposit for the sale of the property, since he intended to return to the UK.
– The man was dining alone at around 10pm when the assailants gained access to the house after breaking down the door. The thieves used considerable violence, although the resident is thought to have resisted the attack. However, the assailants managed to tie and gag the man, who was then repeatedly beaten until he revealed where the money was located.
– At least a dozen burglaries have been reported over the last few weeks in homes located in rural areas of the municipalities of Alhaurín el Grande and Alhaurín de la Torre. Nerja Beach Report:

VÉLEZ-MÁLAGA

Man arrested for five assaults on elderly people whilst riding a scooter in Vélez-Málaga: {Translation, summary}
– The National Police have arrested a 41-year-old man in Velez-Malaga who allegedly perpetrated five robberies with violence or intimidation on board an electric scooter in recent weeks. The suspect had created a climate of insecurity among the residents of the old town of the town of Malaga, especially among the elderly, the main target of the aggressor. The competent judicial authority has ordered him to be remanded in custody for these acts.
– The modus operandi was similar in all cases. He attacked the victims from behind, even throwing them to the ground if they put up resistance – some of the actions ended in spectacular falls with serious injuries. The suspect acted during daylight hours and usually moved around the old part of the city. In just a few seconds, the assailant would approach the victims from behind and violently snatch their handbags, without bothering to knock them to the ground or drag them a few metres along the pavement. Golf News- McIlroy to play Tour Championship despite back injury:
– The Golf Channel, citing unnamed sources, reported that the four-time major winner from Northern Ireland injured a muscle in his lower back while at home on Monday and had not practiced or played since. McIlroy was considering withdrawing from the 30-player event, according to the report, but after treatment sessions Thursday and hitting 20 balls on the driving range, decided to play the opening round at East Lake in Atlanta.
– If he withdraws, McIlroy would finish 30th on the final points list for a $500,000 last-place payout. Last year, McIlroy charged back in the final round to edge Scheffler for the title.
– McIlroy, who won last month’s Scottish Open for his 24th PGA Tour title, had used a new putter the past two weeks but was expected to go back to his more regular putter this week. Tennis News- John Isner is retiring from tennis after the US Open. He played in the sport’s longest match:
– John Isner will retire from professional tennis after playing at the U.S. Open, he announced Wednesday, bringing an end to a career that included one Grand Slam semifinal appearance and a victory in the longest match in the sport’s history.
– “This transition won’t be easy but I’m looking forward to every second of it with my amazing family,” the big-serving, 6-foot-10 (2.08-meter) American wrote in a posting on social media that included a photo showing Isner, his wife and their four children.
– Isner reached a career-best ranking of No. 8 in 2018, shortly after reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon, won 16 singles titles and has hit more than 14,000 aces, an ATP Tour record. That includes 113 – the single-match mark – in his win against Nicolas Mahut that lasted 11 hours, 5 minutes across parts of three days in the first round at the All England Club in 2010 and ended at 70-68 in the fifth set.
