More UK Police Data Stolen! London Metropolitan Police hack sees officer, staff data stolen:
– London’s Metropolitan Police force says it has stepped up security after a company that holds details of its officers and staff was hacked. The force said late Saturday that there had been “unauthorized access to the IT system” of one of its suppliers. It said the company, which it did not name, had access to names, ranks, photos, vetting levels and payroll numbers for officers and staff, but did not hold personal information such as addresses, phone numbers or financial details.
– “This is a staggering security breach that should never have happened,” said federation Vice Chair Rick Prior. “Given the roles we ask our colleagues to undertake, significant safeguards and checks and balances should have been in place to protect this valuable personal information which, if in the wrong hands, could do incalculable damage.”
– The breach follows an incident last month in which the Police Service of Northern Ireland acknowledged it had inadvertently published personal information of more than 10,000 officers and staff in response to a freedom of information request. Officials fear the information has been obtained by Irish Republican Army dissidents who continue to mount occasional attacks on police, 25 years after Northern Ireland’s peace accord.

Russia says it confirmed Wagner leader Prigozhin died in a plane crash: Russia’s Investigative Committee said Sunday that it confirmed that Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder and head of the mercenary force Wagner who led a short-lived armed rebellion against Russia’s military, was killed in a plane crash.
Committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko said in a statement that forensic and genetic testing identified all 10 bodies recovered at the site of Wednesday’s crash and the findings “conform to the manifest” of the plane. The statement didn’t offer any details about what might have caused the crash. Review of the upcoming new cat regulations: {Translation}
– All cats will now be considered pets. However, depending on their way of life and their character, a series of groups arise, and the management of each of them will be different.
– All home cats must be identified by microchip and registered in the European Union Companion Animal Register. They will also have to be surgically sterilized before they reach six months of age, except if they are breeding animals. – The Animal Welfare Act divides rehomed cats into four groups:

– Community cats are the offspring of marauders, strays, or abandoned unsterilized. They live freely in the human environment, and create stable colonies. The Animal Welfare Law divides community cats into two groups:

2. Adoptable: They are community cats that, due to their socialization and character, can be adopted and, therefore, become considered home cats.
