El Morche Foodtrucks: From August 31 to September 3, on the town’s Paseo Marítimo. Admission is free and you can visit them from 7:00 p.m. every day. There will be two daily performances with live music for all tastes, a children’s area and eight different trucks offering to enjoy, as well as a bar area with tables and chairs. The eight food trucks will serve German sausage; pad thai and noodles; fried chicken, salads, sandwiches and nuggets; Argentine empanadas; arepas, tequeños and cachapas; tacos, enchiladas and nachos; beef, chicken and vegetarian burgers; and waffles, crepes and coffee.

Farmers ask the Government to stop ignoring the new plague that is killing cows: {Translation, summary}
– Spanish farmers are extremely concerned about a new disease that is rapidly spreading through cattle farms, causing the death of unborn calves and infertility in cows: Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHE). And to their despair, the Government has not yet communicated the plan to control a plague that already has outbreaks in Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura and Castilla y León.
– Already punished by the drought and the increase in the price of feed and forage, livestock farmers now face a new disease in Spain, since until November 2022 it had never been detected in the European Union. For this reason, the Coordinator of Farmers and Livestock Organizations (COAG) has requested an urgent meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture to define a Plan to combat and control EHE in the face of the growing number of outbreaks on beef farms in several Autonomous Communities. There are currently no vaccines authorized in the European Union against this disease.

– Infoca reported this Wednesday afternoon of a forest fire declared in Almuñécar that has forced helicopters and planes to be mobilized. Specifically, it occurred near the Río Verde viaduct belonging to the A-44, a road from where the smoke it generated can be seen.

What Sanctions? EU purchases of Russian LNG increased by 40% compared to before the war, with Spain leading the EU in purchases:
– The European Union vowed to drastically cut imports of gas from Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine but data shows the bloc’s purchases of Russian-made liquefied natural gas (LNG) have soared.
– According to new findings released by Global Witness, an environmental watchdog organisation, the European Union bought 21.6 million cubic metres (mcm) of Russian LNG between January and July of this year, a small increase compared to the same period in 2022, when imports totalled 21.3 mcm.
– But when the 2023 figure is measured against the same period in 2021, prior to the Kremlin’s decision to wage war on Ukraine, it results in a 39.5% surge, an embarrassing percentage for a bloc that has forcefully condemned the invasion as an illegal, brutal and ruthless attempt to subjugate Ukraine’s independence.
– Making matters more uncomfortable, three member states can be found among the five major clients of Russian LNG in the first seven months of his year: China came on top with 8.7 mcm in purchases, followed by Spain (7.5 mcm), Belgium (7.1 mcm), Japan (7 mcm) and France (4.5 mcm). Two More Celebrity #MeToo Fails- Rammstein singer Till Lindemann & actor Kevin Spacey both cleared of all sex misconduct charges:
– The Berlin state prosecutor’s office said Tuesday it has dropped investigations into Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann. Lindemann had been accused of sexual misconduct during concerts and multiple cases of sexual assault.
– Prosecutors said that initial investigations “did not provide any evidence” of the claims.
– Investigators also did not find evidence that the suspect had committed drug-facilitated sexual assault or that he had used a power imbalance to sexually exploit a minor. In the same statement, prosecutors said they had dropped a similar probe into Alena Makeeva, a former member of Rammstein’s management who “invited” girls to afterparties for encounters with Lindemann, after insufficient evidence was found that she had engaged in criminal activity.
– In related news, all charges against Kevin Spacey for sexual misconduct have been dropped in the UK. Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey wept in court as he was cleared of all charges in his sexual assault trial in London. Jurors at Southwark Crown Court returned not guilty verdicts for all nine sexual offence charges relating to four men between 2001 and 2013.
