MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.

SPAIN
Good news- probably no motorway tolls in 2024 after Europe caves in: {Translation}
– The European Commission seems to have accepted the Spanish government’s proposal to “withdraw from the Recovery Plan the idea of introducing payment for the use of motorways” that until now have been free of charge, as of 2024. The original commitment was that Spain would implement “a mechanism of payment for the use of state roads, which will begin to operate from 2024”. This proposal had generated “a great political uproar”.
– In response to the lack of consensus and the economic situation, the government pledged not to implement the measure and requested its elimination. Brussels is expected to accept this request, committing the Spanish government to implement other alternative environmental and energy-saving measures.
– Among the measures mentioned is “the development of a support programme for rail freight transport”. The aim is that the decarbonisation effort of land transport is boosted by a greater modal shift to rail. Diesel fuel sees its biggest weekly rise in more than two months: {Translation, summary}
– Diesel has risen by an average of 2% in the last week, the highest rise since the beginning of the summer. Thus, diesel is sold in Spain at an average of 1.668 euros per litre, the highest price since the beginning of February, shortly after the subsidy of 20 cents per litre imposed by the government for the last eight months of 2022 ceased to apply.
– Meanwhile, petrol reached an average price of 1.751 euros per litre between 12 and 18 September at more than 11,400 Spanish service stations. This price of petrol is also the highest since February and represents an increase of 0.92% in one week.
– In the last month, diesel has risen by more than 4% and petrol by almost 2.5%, bringing both motor fuels ever closer to their June 2022 highs. Since the beginning of the year, petrol has risen by 26.6% and diesel by 14.25%.
– Gasoline, meanwhile, continues its price escalation with a 16.11% increase compared to last year and with prices also unprecedented, except for those recorded after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In this case, the message from the Police about the expiry of DNIe e-certificates is real and should be taken seriously to avoid inconveniences in the future. ANDALUCIA
Reservoirs in Andalucía continue to lose water and hold less than 20% of their combined capacity:
– The reservoirs in Andalucía are continuing to register a decrease in the volume of water held – despite the recent rains – and are currently below 20% of their total capacity, increasing the likelihood of future restrictions. The region’s main water reserves are currently at 19.7% of their holding capacity, with 2,191 cubic hectometres, some 41 less than they stored a week ago. The water stored is 4.4% lower than last year.
– Further water restrictions are a distinct possibility for Andalucía. The Junta has made it clear, however, that any water restrictions in municipalities would be addressed by the drought committees, with the involvement of the local councils. The Andalusian Regional Government demand “a very serious regulation” on minors’ access to social networks: {Translation}
– {Let me get this straight, the gov’t will currently let a minor make the major decision to change their sex simply by submitting a request form, but denies minors have the mental capacity to use the Internet safely? To quote Scottish musicians Gerry Rafferty & Joe Egan, “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right…” -Ed.}
– The Andalusian Minister of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, Loles López, has asserted this Thursday that the Spanish Government should establish “a very serious regulation” on the access of minors to social networks. The Minister for Equality made these statements when asked about the investigation into a minor from Ayamonte (Huelva) for allegedly modifying photos of his peers and disseminating them on social networks.
– “Here we have to start with education and respect, it is a fundamental tool to fight against all this (…) We have to rethink society as a whole about what is happening with values”, said López. The councillor said she was in favour of beginning to regulate access to networks, how minors access them, bearing in mind that “there are no limits” and that they have “all the freedom”. “Because what they see on the net is not the reality. Precisely in the networks you see a lot of disrespect, a lot of abuse and a lot of inequality”, said the head of Social Inclusion, who pointed out that the specific case of Ayamonte is being dealt with by the judiciary and the State Security Forces and Corps.
– She also said that guides are being drawn up to provide parents with guidelines on how to act with their children when using social networks. “But this is only one step. We need serious regulation by the Spanish government, this has to be regulated”, she insisted. NERJA
Nerja flea market forced to close temporarily: Nerja’s councillor for Commerce Antonio Lopez announced on Tuesday 19 September that the market, which has been held near the Almijara II residential area for a number of years, would “close temporarily due to non-compliance with the economic obligations of the organizers which managed it, and therefore the authorisation from the town hall is no longer in effect”. Lopez indicated that the stall holders and the current organizers have been informed of this situation and added that the town hall “is working to ensure that the flea market is managed by another charity.” Full article: https://www.surinenglish.com/malaga/axarquia/popular-costa-sol-flea-market-forced-close-20230920173852-nt.html

TECH
The UK Parliament Has Undermined The Privacy, Security, And Freedom Of All Internet Users:
– The U.K. Parliament has passed the Online Safety Bill (OSB), which says it will make the U.K. “the safest place” in the world to be online. In reality, the OSB will lead to a much more censored, locked-down internet for British users. The bill could empower the government to undermine not just the privacy and security of U.K. residents, but internet users worldwide.
*A Backdoor That Undermines Encryption*
– A clause of the bill allows Ofcom, the British telecom regulator, to serve a notice requiring tech companies to scan their users– all of them– for child abuse content. This would affect even messages and files that are end-to-end encrypted to protect user privacy. As enacted, the OSB allows the government to force companies to build technology that can scan regardless of encryption– in other words, build a backdoor.
– It’s a basic human right to have a private conversation. This right is even more important for the most vulnerable people. If the U.K. uses its new powers to scan people’s data, lawmakers will damage the security people need to protect themselves from harassers, data thieves, authoritarian governments, and others. Paradoxically, U.K. lawmakers have created these new risks in the name of online safety.
