DoctorLaptop Computer Services:
– If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance, free of data collectors and trackers, an annual professional servicing is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use 5 tool malware/adware/spyware/tracker removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows(or MacOS)+all drivers+programs and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance.
– Heavily infected comps, computers taking more than 2 minutes to startup or shutdown, or showing error messages, those need a repair, not a maintenance service. HDD hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10.

News Note: Readers, please be very careful about believing what you see in photos and videos, from any source. Free artificial intellegence (AI) tools now allow anyone to make a convincing fake photo or video of anything! The internet is now flooded with fake images and videos. Experts estimate more than half of all articles are now written by AI. In some cases, AI will pretend to be a known newsperson, and provide a fake, unreliable video or article. See following article. -Ed.
In A New Era Of Deepfakes, AI Makes Real News Anchors Report Fake Stories:
– Deepfake news segments that appear to be delivered by top journalists and TV networks are going viral across the internet. It’s an inflection point for manipulated media that experts see as troubling just a year out from an historic election.
– Now, nearly anyone can employ easy-to-use, readily available AI software to make videos or audio of public figures (or average people) doing and saying things they never actually did. That has heightened fears that AI will transform the looming 2024 elections into a chaotic Wild West, a concern only intensified by the rise in deepfakes being weaponized as seemingly genuine news reports.
– A growing crop of social media users that have been enlisting generative AI and other software to produce seemingly real news segments from top anchors at major news outlets, from CBS Evening News’ Norah O’Donnell to journalists at CNN, the BBC and beyond. Thanks to the technology, the anchors look and sound like themselves. And thanks to the platforms’ powerful algorithms, sensational stories and false headlines bearing their names and likeness (or a news outlet’s logo) are going viral under the guise of being authoritative news. In many cases, these made-up segments featuring real-life broadcasters are drawing more eyeballs than legitimate clips posted on news organizations’ blue-check social media accounts. SPAIN
Spanish Gov’t Has Only Re-Distributed €8 Billion Of The €37 Billion Of EU Funds Received For Business Recovery From Covid Restriction Damages – Half Of Businesses Don’t Even Know These Subsidies Exist:
– All the pomp, all the paraphernalia and all the publicity campaigns have been of little use. It is already well known that the actual level of spending of the funds is abysmal: Spain has received nearly 37 billion euros from the EU coffers, but only 8 billion have actually reached the real economy. The reality, moreover, continues to provide staggering data, reaffirming those who have been denouncing the government’s misguided strategy for many months.
– The percentage could not be more alarming. Just three years – and more than 1,000 days – after Sánchez presented the Recovery Plan, four out of ten entrepreneurs do not even know what the funds are.
– Another survey released this week points along the same lines. Prepared by the Círculo de Empresarios, it points to clues such as this: less than half of the companies questioned (43.7%) have applied for funds. 56.3% cite “the complexity of the administrative procedures required”. The sentiment among entrepreneurs is anything but optimistic. Seventy-five percent believe that “the government is not managing the subsidies properly”. First hands-free driving assist feature approved for use on some of Spain’s key main roads:
– Hands-free driving is becoming a reality in Spain with the automatic assist option being rolled out on some major roads across the country. Spain currently has 28,500 kilometres (17,709 miles) of Blue Zone motorways that owners of owners of a certain Ford model can now utilise the feature on.
– Owners of the Ford Mustang Mach-E purchased on or after 12 October this year in Spain can activate and use the advanced technology on a subscription basis. The ‘hands-free, eyes on the road’ driving assistant allows you to safely take your hands off the wheel and your foot off the accelerator when you are in a designated ‘blue zone’.

MALAGA PROVINCE
Chestnut stalls forced to put prices up as drought drastically reduces harvest:
– Chestnut production in the province of Malaga is at an all-time low. The figures just published by Asaja, a major Spanish farmer’s association, reveal an 80% drop. For Diego Guerrero, head of the chestnut cooperative in Pujerra, even this percentage is “optimistic”. He has four hectares of chestnut trees of his own. If in the “good times” he used to harvest around 5,000 kilos, he estimated this season’s crop at a meagre 150 kilos.
– “Talking about profits is nonsense. You pick chestnuts to roast with the family and little else,” he said. Not so long ago, in 2015, the Pujerra Cooperative could boast a production of 150 tonnes. The municipality will now produce, according to Guerrero, around 1,000 kilos. GRANADA
Sierra Nevada receives the first snowflakes of the season: {Translation, summary}
– The rains that were recorded this Saturday in Granada have led to Sierra Nevada receiving its first flakes of the season. Although it is “something very minor”, as they say from the ski resort itself, and in the early afternoon they have disappeared, the snow has left a thin white blanket at an altitude of 3,000 metres. Weather instability, according to the weather forecast, will continue over the next few days, at least until the end of next week, which could mean more precipitation in the form of snow on the peaks of Granada. HEALTH
Spain’s Healthcare Last In Europe To Receive New Treatments: {Translation, summary}
– Spanish patients have a clear problem, as Spain is at the bottom of Europe when it comes to access to innovation. As the W.A.I.T. report details, Spain takes an average of 629 days to incorporate new treatments, compared to 128 days in Germany. It is worth noting that oncological innovations suffer the longest delays. This is a situation that patients cannot afford. “Delaying access to therapies that have been shown to improve patients’ prognosis means that these patients will not have this opportunity. Cancer does not wait. It keeps progressing and the disease runs its course. There are patients who, unfortunately, will not be able to receive effective treatments because they have not arrived in time,” laments Dr Cortés. He also highlights the inequality within our own country since “there are patients who, depending on where they live, may have better or worse opportunities. Even within the same city, it depends on the hospital where they are treated. So there is still a lot of discrimination in all aspects”.
– Another collateral effect of the delay in the incorporation of therapeutic innovation is the significant decrease in the quality of life experienced by these women as they have to receive multiple chemotherapy sessions in an attempt to end the disease. Earlier and more accurate treatment would reduce the many side effects, both physical and emotional.

– Matthieu Pavon {pic} broke through with his first European tour victory at a place close to home for him, fending off an early rally by Jon Rahm and a late charge by Marcel Siem to win the Spanish Open by four shots on Sunday.
– The Frenchman closed with a 7-under 64 to finish at 23 under for the tournament in an emotional wire-to-wire victory in a country where his father used to play soccer professionally and in a city where his grandfather was born.
– Pavon, runner-up to Rahm last year in the Spanish capital, held off second-place Zander Lombard (64) and finished five shots ahead of Nathan Kimsey (67) in third.
