SPAIN

Massive database breach at Spain’s DGT with 34 million records of drivers and their vehicles being stolen:
– Spain’s Ministry of the Interior is facing what could be the biggest data breach in its history. A massive cyberattack on the main database of the country’s Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT) has managed to steal the data of 34.4 million drivers and their vehicles. This information, which was obtained during a computer attack in the first fortnight of May, has already been put on sale on different sites on the deep web, according to reports this Friday from different specialised forums.
– The information that the hackers have been offering to the highest bidder since at least 13 May would include details of drivers in Spain with valid driving licences, such as name, ID number, address and information on vehicles related to that person, such as number plates, type, make and model, as well as details of active insurance.
– “We have access to consult any number plate or document of the drivers. We also sell the entire database with 34,418,270 rows,” said ‘PeTu’, one of the alleged hackers on Breachforums, a well-known portal where cybercriminals operate and which the American FBI has tried unsuccessfully to shut down on several occasions.
– Although the exfiltrated information does not include data such as passwords, personal codes or account numbers, this type of affiliate information is very useful for criminals, because they are often used in phishing attacks against customers of other companies, impersonating them to try to obtain keys and passwords. Expensive electricity returns with the heat- the price of electricity triples from one day to the next, Tuesday will be the highest peak since January: {Translation, summary}
– The price of electricity for this Tuesday in the wholesale market will average 87.64 euros/megawatt hour (MWh), triple that of this Monday. This will be the highest average price recorded in a single day since 16 January, when it reached 90.12 euros/MWh.
– According to data published by the electricity market operator, OMIE, the price of electricity for tomorrow will also be 30.36% higher than a year ago. The highest price for this Tuesday will be 175.55 euros/MWh, which has been set between 8.00 and 9.00 am. On the other hand, the lowest, 27.50 euros/MWh, will be recorded between 16.00 and 17.00 hours.
– These prices contrast with those at the beginning of June, which started on Saturday (a weekend day when consumption and prices are lower) with an average of 1.76 euros/MWh. Despite this, it is worth noting that the price for this Monday, the third day of the month, is already 28.56 euros/MWh. ANDALUCÍA

More firefighters but fewer planes for this summer’s Infoca Plan to deal with inevitable wildfires: {Translation, summary}
– For this campaign, which runs until 15 October, there are 4,700 personnel, including firefighters, technical staff, directors and professionals from the different emergency services of the Junta de Andalucía, a human operation that exceeds that of the previous year with 4,297 personnel and against which the CGT union has demonstrated in the public agency Amaya, calling for more negotiation over resources with the Andalusian administration.
– The Infoca Plan currently has seven fewer aircraft than in 2023, as the State has not been able to award the contract it tendered to provide six aircraft and is awaiting the award of an emergency one. So, for the moment, there are 35 aircraft available (24 helicopters and 10 planes and one from the Enresa company in El Cabril) to face the fire season.
– The total cost of the operation is 244 million euros, 11% more than last year, although 108 million euros will be used to put out the fires, while the rest, 135 million euros, have been spent on prevention and cleaning up the Andalusian countryside.
– The catalogue of available resources includes 101 fire engines, 16 fire engines and 12 snow ploughs, all with transmitters from the new Andalusian Digital Emergency Network, which is a qualitative leap in terms of communication and safety. Added to this is a tactical vehicle with a ground drone, a mobile water tank with 3,000 litres, and another new feature is that the Advanced Command Posts (PMA), which are erected at major fires, will have three specific containers or modules, two of them office-type and a third for staff rest.
– So far in 2024, 89 forest fires have been recorded, 78 forest fires and 11 fires that have affected a total of 700 hectares. Source, Spanish: https://www.malagahoy.es/andalucia/bomberos-aviones-dispositivo-Plan-Infoca_0_1908709763.html

– The number of cases of patients with Covid has increased in the last week in Andalusia, from 7.5% to 7.9% positive. However, this is below the national level, where the positivity rate is 8.2% compared to 8% the previous week. Only Cordoba – where the fair has already ended – shows an increase of 1.63%, according to data provided by sources from the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs to Europa Press.
– Influenza. In Andalusia the percentage of positivity is 11.5% for influenza (11.7% in the previous week) and 7.0% for RSV (7.1% in the previous week). Narcos shoot civil guards in Sanlúcar with NATO weapons intended for Ukraine: {Translation, summary}
– In recent months, the Guardia Civil has detected that NATO-calibre weapons sent to Ukraine end up in the hands of organised crime, especially in organisations dedicated to international drug trafficking. These weapons, intended to quell the Russian invasion, are used by drug trafficking clans operating in southern Spain, introducing shipments through the Strait of Gibraltar.
– On 21 May, according to El Español, a clan of drug traffickers from Sanlúcar de Barrameda used these weapons in a confrontation with the Guardia Civil. The agents were trying to intercept a 2,500 kilos of hashish {pic} that the drug traffickers were smuggling through the Guadalquivir river. The criminals shot back at the Guardia Civil, who only had their regulation pistols, while the drug traffickers were armed with assault rifles and NATO-calibre automatic weapons.
– Sources specialised in drug trafficking and intelligence services have confirmed that this trend has increased since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Soviet weapons are being replaced by NATO weaponry that either disappears in transit or never reaches its final destination in Ukraine. Officers were surprised to detect new models rather than the classic Soviet-calibre rifles that are commonly seized in anti-narcotics operations. A new life for El Charco de La Viñuela: {Translation, summary}
– El Charco offered its last service on January 8 of this same year for the retirement of Miguel, alma mater and founder of the business. At that time, no one claimed to be the successor to the hospitality throne. Until Juan Antonio García, the son-in-law, convinced his wife Noelia Fortes to continue in the footsteps and give a new life to the business.
– After many twists and turns, El Charco will reopen its doors on Thursday, June 13, with a new aesthetic but with the same philosophy as always. In fact, Juan Antonio will continue to lead the kitchen, his place for the last 20 years. For this new venture, the establishment will also reduce its capacity and will opt for a terrace concept where you can relax and have a drink looking at the La Viñuela reservoir or the Maroma peak.
– In the menu of the new El Charco, meats will continue to be the king. There will be numerous cuts of pork, beef, ox and veal, with different maturations and infiltrations. Salads and a wide variety of seasonal products will also be available. “The line will remain the same: quality products at a good price and served in the best possible way”.
– Juan Antonio likes to include other exotic cuts from time to time, such as ostrich, crocodile or bistec a caballo (horse steak). “Although we have taken a period of reflection, we have decided to continue because the customers demanded it,” summarises the chef and new owner. NERJA

Prison for three men for fatally beating another on their Maro farm: {Translation, summary}
– The body of the victim, of Czech origin and 69 years old, was located on March 27, 2023 with several traumas, so from the beginning the investigation pointed to the hypothesis of a homicide. A neighbor was the one who found his body and notified the authorities. Apparently, the alleged perpetrators of the homicide went to the home of the victim, with whom they had previous quarrels, according to the Civil Guard. Supposedly, they forcibly entered his home and beat him, causing various traumas to his head, chest and abdomen. Then, according to the investigation, they fled the scene, leaving the man dying, without him being able to receive medical assistance.
– Two of the perpetrators escaped to their respective countries, to the Czech Republic and Poland, where they were finally located by the national authorities after the issuance of search and arrest warrants that were issued from Spain. The other two alleged suspects were located in the district of Maro, where Civil Guard agents arrested them and searched a house. Likewise, they investigated a fifth person, but he was not arrested.
– The judicial authority has ordered the imprisonment of three of the four suspects for their alleged involvement in the homicide. Source, Spanish: https://www.diariosur.es/sucesos/prision-tres-hombres-dar-paliza-mortal-finca-maro-20240603110052-nt.html

RINCÓN DE LA VICTORIA

Rincón de la Victoria reduces scheduled night-time water cuts by two hours with the new Bando de Sequía (Drought Regulation): {Translation}
– The Rincón de la Victoria Town Council has published this Monday, 3rd June, a new Bando (edict) of urgent measures in view of the Exceptional Drought situation in the Viñuela-Axarquía System in which the prohibitions, authorisations and measures established are made known, which will be in force until 30th September 2024.
– Some of these measures affect the watering of green areas, the use of swimming pools and the scheduled night-time cuts, which have been reduced to between 00.00 and 06.00 hours (gaining two hours of service for residents).
– With this new by-law, the prohibition on the use of drinking water is maintained in the following cases: Watering gardens, allotments, parks or green areas, both public and private, watering golf courses, washing streets, pavements, façades or any other surface, both public and private, unless this is done with non-potable water, washing cars outside authorised establishments, ornamental fountains that do not have a closed water circuit, public showers and fountains, showers and footbaths on beaches, as well as for any other non-essential use.

*Swimming pools*
– Partial refilling of public and private swimming pools that have a water recirculation system, in the quantities necessary to replace losses due to evaporation, filter cleaning and to guarantee the sanitary quality of the water.
– First filling of newly built public and private swimming pools or filling in response to pool refurbishment work or modification of the pool shell.

VÉLEZ-MÁLAGA

Serious alert in Guadalmar and Vélez-Málaga- warning about the future of the coastline: {Translation, summary}
– The central government has turned on the red alert regarding the future that awaits two stretches of the province’s coastline that, in recent years, have been invaded by the sea without the measures that have been taken to prevent it being able to stop it. This is the stretch of beach that extends from the Guadalmar urbanization, in the capital, to the limit with the municipality of Torremolinos, and the area of the mouth of the Vélez River, between the Almayate naturist campsite and the center of Torre del Mar, in the municipality of Vélez-Málaga.
– This means that the studies carried out by this department of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge have confirmed a retreat of the shoreline of more than five meters per year, in each of the last five years. Costas has initiated the file to declare the stretch of coastline adjacent to the mouth of the Vélez River in a situation of serious regression. In this case, the study carried out estimates that the sea water line will advance until 2030 and 2070, reaching some of the existing buildings at the western end of the Torre del Mar core, where there is tourist accommodation and hospitality businesses, among other uses.
– The Coastal Regulation states that, in these cases, “no new title of occupation of the maritime-terrestrial public domain may be granted”, except for some exceptions for public services, and only for a maximum period of five years, renewable. This precept could condition the execution of the park planned by the Board on the land of Arraijanal, an action that, although it has an environmental nature and is executed by a public administration, requires permits from Costas for its execution. Idaho bar celebrating ‘Heterosexual Awesomeness Month’ in June creates stir:
– A saloon in Idaho is drawing both jeers and cheers for its cheeky counter-programming to Pride Month, declaring June “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month,” billing it as a celebration of all things straight.
– “Come join us all month to celebrate heterosexuals, for without them, none of us would be here!” Old State Saloon in the city of Eagle wrote in a Facebook post announcing a month of festivities and drink specials.
– Every Monday in June will be “Hetero Male Monday,” with a free draft beer given to “any heterosexual male dressed like a heterosexual male,” the bar said. The bar even put out a call seeking a “professional” judge qualified “to determine if men’s chosen clothing is officially heterosexual,” offering $15 per hour plus free beer as compensation to anyone who “think[s] you have what it takes to determine straight threads.”
– Wednesdays will be for couples, where “each heterosexual couple” will receive 15% off their bill.
– Thursdays are ladies’ nights–heterosexual ladies, to be precise — with “Her Hetero Happy Hour” promising happy-hour prices for straight women all day long.
– The Facebook post drew nearly 2,000 comments within 72 hours, with a well-balanced mix of people applauding the subversive mock celebration and those who took offense. In a follow-up post addressing the brouhaha, Old State Saloon acknowledged that “lots of people are upset” about Heterosexual Awesomeness Month and sought to clarify a few things. “1) We love our LGBTQ+ patrons! 2) We will not be changing our mind and give into the group of those who are responding with vitriol. 3) ALL are welcome to come celebrate heterosexuality with us in June!” wrote the bar — which also hosts events such as “conspiracy theory trivia” night with a rifle as the prize.
– A commenter questioned this assertion, firing back, “If you ‘love’ your LGBTQ+ patrons, prove it. Have a night for them too.” In response, the saloon wrote, “We love our Black patrons too. We love our White patrons. We love our patrons who work for USPS (Post Office). But we aren’t doing special nights for those people. Nor are we doing special nights for LGBTQ+.” Full article: https://nypost.com/2024/06/02/us-news/idaho-bar-celebrating-heterosexual-awesomeness-month-in-june-creates-stir/

Google’s top secret search algorithm exposed in huge 2,500 page leak- The system IS rigged:
– The alleged leak contradicts some of Google’s statements made over the years on Google Search rankings.
– Before Google jumped in deep with AI Overviews and Search Generative Experience, it banked extremely heavily on serving users search queries through the conventional Google Search results we know. However, a lot goes on behind the scenes in answering such consumer search queries. Google has kept its search engine ranking formula a secret and has always instead presented best practices to guide websites. Now, a leak claims to have unraveled the truth behind Google’s highly coveted Search algorithm, and in a lot of ways, it showcases how the company’s guidance doesn’t match what it seemingly checks for.
– Ultimately, it’s hard to say what Google is truly doing with these ranking features. What is clear is that Google created these classifiers, and potentially has even more, to rank websites on the internet. These rankings clearly require judgment calls, adding more evidence that Google Search is not an objective experience, but rather a series of editorial choices made by people within Google. Full article: https://gizmodo.com/google-search-seo-leak-reveal-gatekeeps-internet-1851508410 {Back in the early days of the internet, search results were determined by the popularity of the website. More visits equalled higher ranking in search results. This encouraged creators of website content to provide the best content possible, to attract the most visitors. Even today Google’s advice to people seeking to improve their position in search results is to focus on high quality content. However, over the years all that changed. Now search results are determined by complex algorithms that take into account many factors, especially the desires of Google’s business partners for the best search result placement, and user profiles that suggest what to offer you and when, in hopes of maximizing the possibility of selling you something contained in the top search results they display. -Ed.}

– Eight people have been arrested in Malaga, Oviedo, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Madrid as part of an operation in Spain to dismantle a network dedicated to the illegal distribution of IPTV content. According to the National Police in a statement, the organisation would have pocketed almost five and a half million euros with more than 130 international television channels and thousands of films and series that they made available to people all around the world.
– Users attempting to access these websites will now be prevented from doing so and will be redirected to a National Police page displaying a message informing them that the platform has been intercepted.
– No specific companies, websites or apps were mentioned.

“WiFi is the new opium of the people”- Spanish writer Cristina Martín Jiménez attacks Agenda 2030 in her new book, ‘Libertad or Tyranny’: {Translation}
– Cristina Martín Jiménez (Seville, 1974) has a doctorate in Communication Sciences and Journalism with the first ever critical structure thesis on the Bilderberg Club. Fourteen years ago she identified in one of her books the “tactics of the pandemic, man-made climate change and the creation of artificial leaders” as weapons for the implementation of a totalitarian world order. Here she is interviewed by Fernando Pérez Ávila of the Malaga Hoy newsroom.
***INTERVIEW***
-Define for me what the 2030 agenda is.
* It is a plan to appropriate all the world’s wealth, end national sovereignty and transfer small and medium-sized enterprises to the big international corporations that finance the agenda. It entails a design of a new social and economic order, where through technology we will be turned into techno-slaves. We already have video-surveillance technology, artificial intelligence…
-Well, we almost are, aren’t we?
* Journalism is one of the sectors they went after from the beginning, because controlling information makes the person more easily manipulated.
-I wasn’t referring so much to journalism, but to the widespread use of the mobile phone, the hyperconnection, which is happening in many professional fields.
* Yes, the technology that was supposed to democratise and give us a greater sense of well-being is becoming our boss, our watchman, it is a continuous pressure because there is no separation between leisure and work. This creates tensions, a psychological discomfort… Wifi is the new opium of the people. That’s why psychologists and psychiatrists are full of it. It is even happening to children. There are 41 US prosecutors who have sued Meta, Tiktok and so on for the damage they are causing to minors, but they are promoting it because that’s what they want, to create techno-slaves.
-Who is behind all this?
* The big corporations. I place the origin in two moments, in the Bretton Woods agreements where supranational institutions such as the IMF or the World Bank began to be created, and then the secret meetings of the Bilderberg club that began in 1954. That is what my doctoral thesis is about. The big American corporations created the European Union as a geopolitical colony for their interests. Today Spain is a colony of NATO and of the big media and cultural industries, which function as deans of information and make the local press echo and spread their vision of the world. This modifies and conditions the behaviour of individuals.
-Let’s move on to current affairs. You mention agriculture in your book and we have seen the protests of farmers and tractor drivers this year, what is the connection?
* All this connects the theft of small and medium-sized enterprises with the justification of an emergency. In this case there is a climate emergency, and that land has to be handed over to supranational entities that know how to take care of it better than farmers and ranchers. We already know that water is being privatised, that it is traded on the stock exchange, and we have large corporations taking over the management of water. With stories for uncritical minds, which are being indoctrinated from school, they are trying to steal everything from us. It’s the Davos motto, have nothing and be happy. But if we have nothing, someone else will have it, won’t they?
-Isn’t his discourse too apocalyptic?
* The apocalypse is theirs, and they sell it to us in instalments. The one about the climate, pandemics, inequality, wars, migrations. They continually sell us apocalypses so that these saviours can then appear who, through the establishment of this global governance, are going to save the world from catastrophe and disappearance. Climate change is a vulgar and secular version of the universal flood, a story that is already in the genetic library of all the peoples of the Earth, adapted to today’s times to manipulate emotions and to rob us.
-You dealt with the pandemic in a previous book and were very critical of the measures that were taken.
* That card they imposed to see if people had been vaccinated or not, those distancing protocols controlled by the invasion of technology in mobile phones. Now there is a trial in Spain of a child who was vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine and the response of the health authorities is that the vaccine was not compulsory.
-It wasn’t, but it was difficult to live without it in practice.
* There has been coercion, persecution, insults and even offences against honour. Those of us who were critical were called murderers. Children were told that they were murderers, that they were going to kill their grandparents if they didn’t get vaccinated and didn’t put on their masks. This should be regulated in legal codes, because it is a new method of warfare, which has affected the health of uninformed and vulnerable people, and many have died.
-Speaking of media terrorism, hoaxes and so on, what did you think of Pedro Sánchez’s resignation?
* For me it has been a television script, a reality show where he presents himself as the leading man in a soap opera who, for love, withdraws to think about whether or not to resign, and it’s all a big lie. It’s all a big lie. He started his career during the war in Yugoslavia and he was there watching the country being dismembered. He is balkanising Spain. When he was a nobody, he attended Bilderberg in 2015 and from there he started to gather support and became a puppet of the big financial corporations, so he does not represent the Spanish nation. There are companies that do not invest, but buy countries, as has happened with Ukraine.
-And what will happen in 2030, the target date set by this movement?
* We are seeing that the 2030 agenda shows us that the globalism of the elites is the new totalitarianism, but also that where there is tyranny there is rebellion. Now new laws are coming out regarding the Spanish countryside, where changes have already been introduced because of farmers’ protests. If we protest, they go backwards. The way forward is to defend what is yours, your property, your family and your children. We cannot remain silent in the face of tyranny, because then it wins.
-You publish your books with one of the most important publishing groups in Spain. Isn’t it a bit like what Eco said, that apocalyptics end up integrated into the system?
* I’ve been working with the same publishing house for twelve years. It’s a purely business thing. If you publish, you sell. I love that question because it’s something I’m attacked with every day in the networks. I also believe that the anti-system propaganda is false, we are all inside the system because there is only one, but there we have to defend our space. We can’t go to another planet.
