SPAIN

President Sanchez celebrates the CPGJ agreement between the PSOE and PP by calling PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo a “perra gorda” (fat b*tch): {Translation}
– Twelve hours after the PP and PSOE yesterday signed an agreement to renew and reform the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and thus put an end to two years of negotiations, the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has proposed a new pact to the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez: that he give explanations about the “Koldo case” and the “Begoña Gómez case”, the two judicial cases of corruption that have cornered the PSOE. Sánchez has avoided his usual hostile tone towards the PP and has shown himself to be more conciliatory to the point of asking for the dynamic of pacts to continue and for there to be more between the two parties.
– However, Feijóo has already made his demands. “Given that you welcome the agreement, I am going to propose three very simple ones that most Spaniards would agree on,” the PP leader began. “First, ask the Attorney General to resign for his scandals, for his alleged crimes and for being the Sanchez family lawyer. Secondly, to tell those who want obedience from the Constitutional Court, that he should stop groping the Supreme Court and exonerating those convicted of socialist corruption. And, thirdly, that you sit down in front of the media and appear in Congress to explain to us everything that is coming out about your family and your entourage. Explain the villas, the trips, the luxuries, the contracts…”, Feijóo summarised. “Mr Sánchez, these are the agreements that the majority of Spaniards are waiting for”, the popular leader forcefully concluded.
– In response to Feijóo’s words, Sánchez has shown a more conciliatory tone on Wednesday, after a week ago accusing the PP of being “far-right”. In fact, the President of the Government has extended his hand to continue with more pacts. “This is a government of necessity and conviction, it is a government of agreements. All those who have wanted to reach an agreement with the Government of Spain have found the Government’s outstretched hand”, said Sánchez, who insisted that “hopefully” it would be “the first of many more agreements”.
– However, he did not take up the gauntlet thrown down by Feijóo to reach an agreement to clarify the corruption of Sánchez’s entourage. “For you the fat b*tch”, said the President of the Government, who accused the leader of the PP of “making some fuss to calm down” those who have “led him down the path of destructive opposition”, in reference to Vox. “But I think it is important to value the agreement that was reached yesterday. It is a reason to congratulate ourselves”, he said. {So it’s ok for “President Inclusive” to disparage women in general, and the obese in particular? Where is the progressive outrage? Had a conservative politician said the same, to even a minor official, there would be protests across Spain. -Ed.} Source, Spanish: https://www.larazon.es/espana/feijoo-propone-ahora-sanchez-pacto-aclarar-caso-koldo-caso-begona-gomez_20240626667bca05901ca90001bb019e.html

ANDALUCÍA

Diseases of the circulatory system are the primary cause of death in Andalusia: {Translation}
– Diseases of the circulatory system are the leading cause of death in Andalusia in 2023, with a total of 20,360 deaths last year and a decrease of 7.8% compared to 2022.
– This figure differs from the national statistics, which place tumours as the leading cause of death with a total of 115,013 deaths in Spain in 2023 for the first time ahead of diseases of the circulatory system, which accumulated 114,865 deaths in the last year.
– In 2023 there were a total of 74,050 deaths in Andalusia, 6.2% less than the previous year, according to the Deaths by Cause of Death Statistics published on Wednesday by the INE.
– The second leading cause of death in Andalusia, according to these provisional data from the National Statistics Institute, are tumours, which caused a total of 19,253 deaths in the region, 0.3 % more than the previous year. Respiratory system diseases were the third leading cause of death in Andalusia with a total of 7,745 deaths, an increase of 12.7% compared to 2022. The fourth leading cause of death in Andalusia is diseases of the nervous system, with 4,597 deaths and a decrease of 1.5% compared to 2023, followed by diseases of the digestive system, which caused 4,235 deaths and an increase of 1.6%.
– At the national level, tumours were the leading cause of death in 2023, accounting for 26.6% of the total, while deaths due to diseases of the circulatory system fell by 5.3% compared to 2022, ranking as the second most frequent cause, with 26.5% of the total. Compared with the previous year, deaths due to tumours increased by 0.2%.
This disparate trend meant that, for the first time, the death rate from tumours (237.8 per 100,000 inhabitants) was higher than that from diseases of the circulatory system (237.5). MALAGA CITY

The jihadist detained in Malaga spread DAESH content through TikTok, where he had 16 accounts: {Translation, summary}
– Mohamed M., arrested on Monday by the Guardia Civil in the city of Malaga during an operation against jihadist terrorism, was dedicated to disseminating DAESH terrorist content calling for jihad through the social network TikTok, where he had 16 open accounts, despite the fact that the company itself was closing his profiles. The investigation also revealed that, through the same channel, he contributed to the indoctrination and recruitment of third parties while inciting terrorist attacks.
– Consequently, after being brought before the court, the judge of the Audiencia Nacional, Joaquín Gadea, on Tuesday ordered the individual to be remanded in custody, without bail. The magistrate has agreed to imprison the suspect, of Moroccan nationality, considering that there is a risk of flight because, despite usually residing in Spain, he has strong links with his country of origin. In addition, he had already bought a plane ticket to travel to Nador. Source, Spanish: https://www.malagahoy.es/malaga/yihadista-detenido-malaga-tiktok-daesh_0_2000695870.html

TORROX

Neighbours of El Morche accuse Costas of “turning a deaf ear” to the demolition of the fairground track: {Translation}
– The Directorate General of Coasts, dependent on the Ministry for Ecological Transition, has demolished this Wednesday the iconic dance floor next to the promenade of El Morche. It was a space that the ‘morchericos’ considered very important, as it was used as a dance floor in events such as fairs and festivals, and for sports activities for children. The Neighbourhood Association of El Morche accuses Costas of “turning a deaf ear” to the neighbours who did not want it destroyed and regrets the way they acted, “without giving us time to organise ourselves to prevent us from protesting”.
– The citizens’ platform had mobilised to prevent Costas from removing the large concrete slab dance floor and had initiated a collection of signatures on the web platform change.org, where in just 24 hours it has accumulated more than 150 signatures.
– “Enough is enough, leave us alone,” the association says. “They eliminate our identity. Our beach is a nuisance, but they fill the beaches with concrete beach bars, making it impossible to maintain the traditional beach bars,” they add.
The neighbours declare that “all along the coastline we find lots of architectural aberrations permitted by Costas, destroyed beaches to which no solution is given, but not, most urgently, to eliminate the dance floor of the fair of El Morche, which has also served as a leisure space for children and adults all year round for more than 60 years”.
“Another sign of identity of our village destroyed”, concludes the Asociación Vecinal de El Morche in its live video of the demolition. Source, Spanish: https://www.axarquiaplus.es/vecinos-de-el-morche-acusan-a-costas-de-hacer-oidos-sordos-ante-la-demolicion-de-la-pista-de-la-feria/

The Torrox Town Hall prepares almost 6,000 parking spaces on the coastline: {Translation}
– Torrox Town Hall is currently completing the development of almost 6,000 parking spaces on the coast of the municipality. This has been announced by the mayor, Óscar Medina. In the area located in front of the Parquesol halls and parallel to the old N340 road in El Morche, Medina said that “this is the largest and most ambitious parking plan carried out so far for the summer by the Torrox Town Hall”. The 5,970 parking spaces are located in El Morche as well as in Torrox Costa, El Peñoncillo and Calaceite “and are double the number of last year in anticipation of another historic summer for the municipality”. The mayor of Torrox pointed out that “it is essential that everyone, residents and visitors, can park on the coast during these months of high tourist influx”.
– Of the total of almost 6,000 parking spaces, more than 3,200 will be located in El Morche, specifically in front of the Parquesol halls; in Calle A Babor (behind Informática El Morche); next to Las Dunas de La Carraca; and behind Cortijo Viejo. The more than 2,100 in Torrox Costa, next to the Iberostar hotel; in the area of Llano de Ruta 340; and next to the mouth of the Torrox River and the lighthouse. Finally, the almost 600 in El Peñoncillo and Calaceite will be located next to the Bossa and Butterfly establishments, in an area close to the new bus stop. NERJA

Man found dead in Nerja cave:
– The alarm was raised just after 4.30pm Tuesday when the 112 Andalucía emergency service number received a call about a dead person in a cave located next to the riverbed of the Nerja river, next to the municipal sports centre. Immediately the Local Police, Guardia Civil and emergency health services were notified. Guardia Civil officers were responsible for carrying out a visual inspection of the area. Subsequently, the body was removed.
– The body of a 60-year-old man was found inside one of the caves, where he was apparently living with other people.
Initially, the body showed no signs of violence, so the main hypothesis that is being considered is that it was a natural death. Full article: https://www.surinenglish.com/malaga/axarquia/body-man-found-cave-near-popular-beauty-20240626112018-nt.html

Nerja’s councillor for beaches, Mari Carmen López, restricts beach shower use, only for the disabled:
– Nerja town hall on the eastern stretch of the Costa del Sol has announced that it will be following in the footsteps of nearby Vélez-Málaga by turning off its foot showers but reopening the showers on the town’s adapted beaches, as SUR has been able to confirm.
– The councillor for beaches, Mari Carmen López, explained to SUR that since last weekend workers have been disconnecting the footbaths on all the beaches and leaving only the showers adapted for people with reduced mobility, so that there will be at least one shower on each adapted beach. As such, in areas such as Carabeíllo or Carabeo there will be no showers, as these beaches have steps to reach them. However, on the larger and more accessible beaches, such as Burriana, there will be at least half a dozen adapted showers in operation, one next to each beach bar.
– Although the number has not been finalised, municipal sources have told this newspaper that in the end there will be around twenty adapted showers in operation this summer on Nerja’s beaches. Muñoz has called for the rational use of water, asking that only people with reduced mobility use the showers. “We cannot put a policeman or a security guard at every shower all the time, but we ask for rational use,” she said. EUROPE

Rejected by his own country’s voters, outgoing Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has been chosen as NATO’s next boss:
– On Wednesday, NATO ambassadors appointed the outgoing Dutch prime minister as the alliance’s next secretary general, its top civilian post.
– He will take over as secretary general on 1 October from Norway’s Jens Stoltenberg, who is stepping down after a decade in the post. Ambassadors from the alliance’s 32 members approved his appointment at a meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
– Hungary lifted its objections earlier this month, after Mr Rutte agreed Budapest would not be obligated in the future to send personnel or provide funds for a new support plan for Ukraine. Turkey had also voiced opposition to Mr Rutte’s bid, but lifted its objections in April.
– Mr Rutte emerged as the sole candidate after Romanian President Klaus Iohannis pulled out last week. {Funny how these politicians and “experts” who get rejected by their own countrymen for pushing the globalist agenda end up in high paying jobs at NATO & the UN. This appears to be a loyalty reward by the globalists to those willing to be disloyal to their own people- “Go ahead and screw ’em, if they fire you we will give you a promotion.” -Ed.} Full article: https://news.sky.com/story/mark-rutte-nato-picks-dutch-pm-and-vocal-putin-critic-as-next-secretary-general-13159092

FINANCIAL

How to claim up to 3,000 euros for mortgage costs after the Supreme Court ruling: {Translation}
– If you signed a mortgage loan before 2019, it is possible that the bank forced you to pay the costs associated with signing the mortgage: appraisal fees, agency, registration or notary fees… costs that, in 2015, the Supreme Court ruled as abusive costs. The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled that same year that banks should return, to all consumers who so requested, the vast majority of these costs: an average of between 1,500 euros and 3,000 euros in each case, as explained by the Association of Financial Users (Asufin).
– While this right was previously subject to certain deadlines, a new Supreme Court ruling (which endorses the criteria of the CJEU) establishes that it will be possible to claim these abusive expenses from the moment a court declares the nullity of the clause of these payments, which can be demanded even if the mortgage has already been paid, amortised or cancelled.
– Who can claim mortgage expenses? All those consumers who signed a mortgage before June 2019, the date on which the new mortgage law came into force, and to whom the bank charged some concepts of the so-called clause of imposition of expenses can claim the return of the mortgage expenses: the totality of the registry, agency and appraisal expenses, as well as half of the notary expenses.
These costs, according to the new law, correspond to the bank with which the loan is signed, and not to the clients, so successive rulings have established that the banks must return this money to their clients.
– Until when can a claim be made? The new ruling establishes that customers will be able to claim the mortgage expenses of these concepts from the bank after a ruling that establishes these expenses and obliges them to be returned, as long as they were not aware of the imputation of these expenses, and regardless of the age of the mortgage or whether it has already been amortised or cancelled. The deadline for doing so will be five years from the date of said court ruling, in which the consumer may request the return of the charges plus the legal interest.
– How to request the return of the abusive charges?
To claim these amounts, if you have been affected, the best thing to do is to first inquire at the bank with which you have taken out the mortgage loan. If there is no satisfactory response, there are other alternatives where you can claim this right: the Bank of Spain’s claims service or the courts.
– In addition to your ID card, you will need to provide the mortgage deed (where the imposition of these payments must be stated), the invoice from the notary or the deed from the land registry, as well as from the agency or appraisal and the amount of the registration: proof of these unjustified charges. If you do not have them, you can try to ask the agency with which you made the arrangements, as they keep the records of these transactions.
