– This is a livestock and sporting event of international standing which is traditionally held in Seville and is free and open to the general public. Malaga city and Axarquía now able to receive water from western Costa del Sol:

Costa del Sol desalination plant doubles water treatment capacity after completion of first phase of work:
– The Marbella desalination plant on the western strip of the Costa del Sol can now produce 12 cubic hectometres (hm3) of water following the completion of the first phase of the project, according to an announcement made on Monday 23 September by the Junta.
– The project, which has seen an investment of 4.3 million euros, has doubled the capacity of the infrastructure from six to 12 hm3. The second phase of this project to expand the operation and improve the water quality of the desalination plant is already underway for a total of 2.9 million euros, which will allow the facilities to produce 20 hm3 in the first quarter of 2025.
– “The production that the Marbella desalination plant will achieve represents between 15 and 20 per cent of the Costa del Sol’s needs, which means that not only will it be able to supply the area but, if necessary and if there is a surplus, resources could be transferred to Malaga city, the Campo de Gibraltar and even the Axarquía,” said Fernández-Pacheco. – The Patronato de la Alhambra will celebrate International Tourism Day with a unique proposal, an activity to enjoy the sunrise from the Nasrid monument and a guided tour of this World Heritage Site. The monumental complex, historically the most visited in the country, will celebrate this Friday the International Day of Tourism with ‘Sunrise in the Alhambra’, a unique proposal that joins the support of the associations of guides AGIP and TAQA and the Association Friends of the Alhambra.
– The activity is also part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the declaration of the Alhambra and the Generalife as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
– The experience ‘Sunrise in the Alhambra’ will offer participants the opportunity to enjoy the first light of day from this emblematic monument, an activity that includes a guided tour of the monumental site in two passes limited to 250 people each.

Tennis News- Schedule, dates and tickets to see Carlos Alcaraz and Rafa Nadal in Malaga in the Davis Cup: {Translation}

Dozens of clients scammed by the Florín travel agency in Malaga- owners and workers arrested: {Translation, summary}
– More than twenty people have allegedly been swindled by the travel agency Florín after closing the doors of its establishments in Málaga city and Alhaurín de la Torre. The amount of money defrauded has now reached 40,000 euros. Euribor continues to drop: {Translation, summary}
– The value of the Euribor today falls again to 2.776%, continuing its downward trend and marking a new low since 2023.
– How much will the mortgage go down in the September review?
In some specific cases, a person who has taken out a variable mortgage of 150,000 euros for 30 years, with annual review, and an interest rate of Euribor plus a differential of 0.99% will see their monthly repayment reduced by up to 97 euros per month: from paying 811.02 euros they will pay 714 euros after this review. This also means a reduction in your mortgage of 1,164 euros per year.
– And if the initial amount of the mortgage is 300,000 euros, with the same characteristics mentioned in the previous case, the reduction would be even greater: 194 euros per month or, in other words, 2,328 euros per year, according to data from iAhorro. Along the same lines, Fotocasa’s estimates point to a decrease of between 970 and 2,300 euros per year, a reduction of 10% year-on-year.
– What will happen now with mortgages? ‘This drop will surely improve the situation of the Spanish mortgage market a little’. According to iAhorro, financial institutions are planning to improve their mortgage offers between the end of September and the beginning of October, lowering above all the interest rates to be paid for fixed and mixed mortgages. Right now a very fixed mortgage could be around 2.5%, and during the next few weeks we could start to see products already around 2.2% or even 2% NIR; in mixed mortgages they could be close to 1.5% NIR for the first few years.
– Fotocasa is convinced that more than 20% of buyers could return to the market after the interest rate cuts, a moment for which it expects a mortgage fight between financial institutions with a product that will return to the market with force: fixed-rate mortgages.
