On the other hand, for those containing more than 15 mg/ml of nicotine, the tax will be 0.20 euros plus VAT per milliliter. – For nicotine-free base mixes, the tax will be 0.15 euros plus VAT per milliliter. As for nicokits, it is divided as follows: those containing 18-20 mg/ml will have an increase of 0.20 euros plus VAT per milliliter, and those containing 10 mg/ml will have an increase of 0.15 euros plus VAT per milliliter. The PP presses Sánchez to present budgets with motions in Congress and the Senate: {Translation}
– The PP is going to go a step further. After months of criticizing the lack of General State Budgets, it has taken advantage of the 27th Interparliamentary that is being held this weekend in Seville to announce that it will present initiatives in Congress and the Senate pressuring Pedro Sánchez to present a draft budget. This was announced by the spokespersons in both chambers during the table they shared with Dolors Montserrat this Saturday afternoon.
– Alicia García {pic}, spokeswoman in the Senate, has said that Pedro Sánchez and María Jesús Montero are “in constitutional rebellion” so she is going to promote a motion in the Senate to force him to present the General State Budgets. A motion that will prosper considering that the PP has a majority in the Upper House. In Congress, Miguel Tellado, spokesman for the PP, will do the same with a Proposition No of Law that has less prospects of going ahead but that will serve to position Sánchez’s investiture partners.
– “What is happening will leave the PSOE touched forever because it exposes their level of militancy. It has been shown that what was an investiture majority was not a majority to govern; it has been blurred. That is why we are going to present a Proposición No de Ley in which we will demand the Government to present the General State Budget for 2025 before June. Their obligation is to try to do so,” said Miguel Tellado. “We will see what Pedro Sánchez’s Government partners say, what they prefer is to extort him out of the Chamber; a Government without budgets does not know where it is going.”
– The spokeswoman of the PP in the European Parliament, Dolors Montserrat has described Pedro Sánchez as “a straw man- a fugitive from justice, a man of the radicals and of a Government in decomposition”, while he has censured his lack of involvement for the European Union to fight against the closure of the Southern Border, “he has not asked Frontex and is a silent accomplice of the mafias that traffic in the human drama of immigration and Europe is the great shield to fight for the closure of the Southern Border”. “This makes him more dangerous in his flight forward, dynamiting all the institutions and even his own party if he is going to be one more day in La Moncloa. It is not time for presidents who hesitate,” said the popular spokeswoman.
– “We are not going to stand still before the veto of the Government of Spain and the Presidency and the Bureau of Congress to the Senate as a chamber,” said Gamarra in his speech in the interparliamentary. Gamarra has accused Sánchez of “acting like a small dictator”, has urged him to stop doing so and to “start respecting the separation of powers and counterpowers” in Spain. The PP secretary general added that Genoa will use “all the instruments” of Spanish and European laws to “defend and protect” Spanish democracy. “Our democracy is in danger right now, and not outside Spain, but within our borders, and democracy is not to be trifled with, Mr. Sanchez,” said Gamarra in Seville.

MALAGA CITY
Armed Robberies At Open Public Businesses In Malaga Becoming More Common: {Translation}
– Second robbery at gunpoint on the same street in Puerto de la Torre {pic} in just ten days. First it was in a post office and, now, in a dental clinic, when an individual dressed in black and with his face practically covered burst into the establishment demanding the takings.
– It was already past eight o’clock in the evening two Fridays ago when the emergency services received a warning of an alleged robbery in a dental clinic on Lope de Rueda Street. A patrol of local agents who were in the area went to the scene. According to what the police could find out, a hooded individual dressed in black had allegedly burst into the premises and had threatened one of the workers at gunpoint to get her to give him the money from the cash register, which was around 700 euros. The suspect then allegedly fled the clinic on foot. Although the local agents alerted the other units and conducted raids, it was not possible to locate him, municipal sources have informed SUR.
– Ten days earlier, a man with a balaclava allegedly also broke into a post office located on the same street and pointed a gun at a branch worker. According to the sources, the robber would have taken advantage of a moment when there were no customers inside to break into the branch, where two professionals were. Thus, the assailant would have entered with his face hidden and exhibiting a firearm to a worker, whom he allegedly threatened, demanding the money that was in a cash register. Apparently, after taking the cash, he began to ask her for “packages” that were in the office. After the robber fled, the workers alerted the emergency services of the incident, and the National Police were immediately mobilized. No further information has been released. – The warning came in at half past two in the afternoon {The specific day is not mentioned. Must be this weekend. -Ed.}. EUROPE
EUROPOL Report- The Connection Between the End of the Ukraine War and the Rising Societal Dangers: {Translation, compilation, summary}
-Europol’s 2025 Serious and Organised Crime Threat Assessment (EU-SOCTA) highlights how the conclusion of the war in Ukraine could exacerbate organised crime and destabilise European society. The report underscores that the post-war environment may serve as fertile ground for criminal networks, with profound implications for public safety, governance, and economic stability.
***Key Risks Linked to the War’s End***
– Proliferation of Illicit Arms: The war has facilitated widespread distribution of weapons, raising fears that surplus arms could flood the black market after demobilisation. Europol warns that this could escalate violence and empower criminal groups across Europe. Regions such as the Western Balkans, already a hub for arms trafficking, may see increased activity. Furthermore, advanced technologies, like drones developed during the conflict, could also enter illicit markets, amplifying security threats. {Criminals are already using drones to scout for burglary and home invasion targets in rural areas. -Ed.}
– Ex-Military Personnel in Crime: The reintegration of ex-soldiers poses challenges, as economic hardship may push some into organised crime. Historical patterns show that demobilised combatants often join or establish criminal networks. This risk is heightened by the potential recruitment of these individuals by established syndicates or their involvement in paramilitary activities.
– Corruption and Financial Crime: A post-war lifting of sanctions on Russia could enable criminal groups to expand their financial operations through money laundering and corruption. Such activities undermine trust in governance and weaken economies, creating vulnerabilities that organised crime can exploit.
– Technological Amplification of Crime: Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools are enabling criminals to scale operations rapidly. AI-driven cyberattacks, deepfakes, and encrypted communications facilitate fraud, extortion, and violence. Europol warns that these technologies are transforming organised crime into a more adaptable and dangerous force.
– Impact on Society: The end of the war could blur boundaries between legal and illegal activities, destabilising institutions through hybrid threats like cyberattacks, disinformation campaigns, and critical infrastructure sabotage. Violence linked to drug trafficking and human smuggling is also expected to rise in urban areas due to increased availability of smuggled weapons. “The use of explosives and firearms is increasingly frequent,” especially in the context of reprisals between drug gangs, and also in trafficking in persons, robberies and thefts, they affect. {Andalucia has seen an increase of ATM machines being blasted with explosives, and several explosives labs have been discovered locally in recent years as well. -Ed.}
– To mitigate these threats, Europol stresses the importance of international cooperation, intelligence sharing, and robust law enforcement strategies. Without such measures, the post-war landscape risks becoming a breeding ground for entrenched criminal enterprises that threaten societal stability.

UKRAINE WAR
Trump loses patience with Putin and threatens new Russian oil tariffs- with serious implications for the EU:
– President Donald Trump has lost patience and is now threatening to punish Russia with new oil tariffs. Aside from the relentless attacks, including with suicide drones, Trump has criticized that, in the midst of a three-way negotiation, Putin has proposed a change of government in Ukraine to facilitate the annexation of occupied territories. Trump said Sunday in an interview with NBC, “If I feel – if we’re in the middle of a negotiation – you could say I was very angry, very upset, when Putin said yesterday that… you know, when he started questioning Zelenski’s credibility, because that’s not going in the right direction.”
– The phrase marks an obvious shift in tone and attitude, after two months of toughness with the Ukrainians and constant praise for Vladimir Putin’s firmness and mettle. “If Russia and I fail to reach an agreement to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I believe it was Russia’s fault – which it may not be, but I do believe it was – I will impose secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” the president warned.
***The move would be a blow to European Union countries, which despite their support for Ukraine have been reluctant to completely cut their energy dependence on Moscow.***
– Trump detailed that the sanctions would mean that “if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States. There will be a 25% tariff on all oil, a 25 to 50 point tariff on all oil.” In other words, any country importing Russian crude oil would have to pay this surcharge when exporting its products to the U.S. market. It is a mechanism that has already begun to be applied in the case of Venezuela, with a final decision pending from Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Trump threatens bombing if Iran does not make nuclear deal:
– U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Iran on Sunday with bombing and secondary tariffs if Tehran did not come to an agreement with Washington over its nuclear program.
In Trump’s first remarks since Iran rejected direct negotiations with Washington last week, he told NBC News that U.S. and Iranian officials were talking, but did not elaborate.
– “If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing,” Trump said in a telephone interview. “It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before.” “There’s a chance that if they don’t make a deal, that I will do secondary tariffs on them like I did four years ago,” he added.
– Iran sent a response through Oman to a letter from Trump urging Tehran to reach a new nuclear deal, saying its policy was to not engage in direct negotiations with the United States while under its maximum pressure campaign and military threats, Tehran’s foreign minister was quoted as saying on Thursday. CGT calls a strike in Renfe and Adif on Tuesday April 1 at Malaga station: {Translation, summary}
– Next Tuesday, April 1, the railway sector of the CGT union is holding a strike in Renfe and Adif. In Andalusia, demonstrations will be held from 11.00 am at the stop of the Maria Zambrano station in Malaga. Also, on April 3 there will be a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Transport in Madrid.
– The CGT Railway Sector continues with 24-hour strikes, since the agreement signed between the Ministry of Transport, the Generalitat de Catalunya and SEMAF, CCOO, UGT and SCF “guarantees nothing at all, on the contrary, it opens a crack for the public railway companies to bleed from it”, as detailed by the trade union organization in a press release.
