– Elsewhere in the interview, which can be accessed on the municipal radio station’s website, regarding a local controversy about payments to volunteers at the latest Migas Festival, Medina called Sánchez a “shameless crook who is chasing all cash money.” “He is making municipalities work 40,000 times harder, even to buy a screw, he is a psychopath, this man is unwell,” he stated on the municipal radio.
– The mayor also attacked Sánchez’s late father-in-law, saying, “he allegedly ran the largest network of brothels in the country.” “They have the largest gay brothel in Europe in San Bernardo, and it is said that Begoña Gómez, Pedro Sánchez’s wife, was the one collecting the money from the brothels,” the Torrox mayor claimed. When the journalist asked, “But is there evidence?” he replied, “There is no evidence, but people say it, that’s what they say,” attacking the government’s plans “to end prostitution, and they want to end black money, when we are seeing all the scams they are pulling.” “The kickbacks are in all state projects, in the Government of Spain. Tourists threatened and pelted with stones in attempted robbery in Frigiliana: {Translation}
– The event happened mid-afternoon last Friday in Frigiliana. The town in the Axarquía region, with just 3,400 registered inhabitants, is celebrating its patron saint, Saint Anthony of Padua {pic}, and is welcoming thousands of visitors. In the heart of the town, two middle-aged Spanish men approached some tourists who were calmly walking down the street.
– The men asked them for money and when they refused, one of them picked up a large stone and allegedly threw it, narrowly missing the group of tourists. The victims called the emergency services and the two young men fled on foot.
– Just a few minutes later, the Frigiliana Local Police received another call, this time from taxi drivers. Two men were struggling with a woman carrying a child in her arms, also with the intention of robbing her. The officers managed to intercept and arrest them in the vicinity, but not without difficulty, as one of them resisted arrest.

An explosion leaves two people injured with burns in Vélez-Málaga: {Translation}
– An explosion in a building in Vélez-Málaga has left four people injured with burns, according to the 1-1-2 emergency service.
– The incident took place Saturday at 7:45 p.m. in a house located on Calle Los Geraneos in Vélez-Málaga. The 1-1-2 emergency services received a report of an explosion, possibly caused by gas, which had started a fire in the house. UPDATE- The alleged perpetrator of the Fuengirola shooting arrested: {Translation}
– The National Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the crime that took place on May 31 in a pub on the seafront promenade in Fuengirola (Malaga), where two people died and another was injured as a result of a shooting.
– According to confirmation from the police to the media, the arrest took place in the city of Liverpool (United Kingdom) on Friday afternoon by British authorities, at the request of the Spanish National Police. They added that the arrest was made after an urgent international arrest warrant was issued by Investigating Court No. 2 in Fuengirola. Even so, the police are continuing their investigation to clarify the causes of this crime.
– The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Malaga, Francisco Javier Salas, previously stated that both victims of this crime were Scottish nationals, the first of the deceased was shot in the chest and the second in the chest and abdomen. He also stated that the shooter fled the scene and, as a result, the National Police activated the Costa del Sol Plan protocols against crime to search for and locate the alleged perpetrator. – Israel and Iran are currently locked in a dangerous cycle of escalating missile and drone attacks, marking the third consecutive day of intense hostilities. New regulations for compensation for flight delays: {Translation, summary}

The new draft also introduces automatic compensation forms and allows passengers to arrange their own rebooking and claim up to 400% of the original ticket cost if not accommodated within three hours. ‘Spectacular’ temple dedicated to Ancient Greek God uncovered by archaeologists, 2,700-year-old treasures found:
– Archaeologists have unearthed a “spectacular” ancient temple housing hundreds of statues dedicated to the Greek God Apollo. The site, known as the Sanctuary of Apollo, is located in a remote valley in Cyprus, and the uncovered artifacts are believed to date back 2,700 years.
