Can you believe it? Another year draws to an end, and so it is once again time for the DigameXtra Holiday Fundraiser. The idea is to collect enough donations in this next 8 weeks to recover my 2025 expenses. That allows me to publish daily issues for the following 10 months free from any donation request nags. I hate asking, and no one likes being asked, so please give generously and in 8 weeks we can be done with this for another year. -Naythan. ANNUAL HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER
I can only produce DigameXtra with the financial support of my readers. Once a year, during the year end holidays, I do an 8 week fundraiser to help pay production expenses throughout the whole year. This year’s goal is to receive donations from 4% of subscribers. This “4% Club” finances DigameXtra for the 96% group that don’t donate. Which group will you belong to? The generosity of the 4% Club members is greatly appreciated.
Just like your morning coffee,

– Holiday Donation Info, 2 Methods –
DigameXtra subscribers must donate at least €20 (39 cents per week) to gain annual submission posting privileges.
#1. You may drop cash donations off in person and say hello, by appointment, or place them in my mailbox beside my door anytime. Please be sure to include your name on the envelope so I can put you on the list of subscribers with submission posting privileges for 2025-2026! Due to health reasons, unannounced drop-ins are inconvenient for me. But if I am expecting you, no problem! My mailbox has the name HARRIS on it. Email me for map and directions. Cash donations are strongly preferred.
#2. Alternatively, you may send me an Amazon ES (Spain) “eGift card” by email. You need to have an Amazon.es account. The only info you need is my email address and your name (the sender’s name). Remember, this is an “eGift card” you buy that Amazon.es emails directly to me, don’t buy a plain “gift card”. Use the link provided below to access the “eGift card” purchase page.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND AMAZON UK eGIFT CARDS. NO BANK TRANSFERS OR PAYMENT APPS.
Here is the Amazon.es eGift Card Link, (NOTE: YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY AMOUNT YOU LIKE ON THE FORM, THE DEFAULT IS €60):
https://www.amazon.es/Cheques-Regalo-Amazon-es-mail-Amazon/dp/B07SS5PFJK/?th=1&gpo=60
On the eGift card purchase form, enter the DigameXtra email as the recipient, as shown below in Spanish and with English translation.
Para/For : digamextra@protonmail.com
Please do not ask me about gaining posting privileges by making small donations of under €20, several times a year. Several people promised to do that for each of the last two annual fundraisers, and not a single one followed up.
Total Donations Received As Of Today: 12

Your questions answered by Ruth from Compare Funerals Spain
– Why should I have a funeral plan? Having been funeral planning for over 10 year I’ve experienced some very sad and upset families when nothing is in place. A Spanish funeral plans will ensure that all costs are covered for your funeral service. Getting a prepaid plan will help you feel assured that your family will not be under any financial strain when it comes to paying for your funeral. A plan also means you can have peace of mind that everything has been organised in advance, so your loved ones do not have to make any difficult decisions.
– Why choose Compare Funerals? There seems to be a gap in Spain between independent funeral directors, offering plans at a good price but lacking the security of an established Trust or ability to cover a client overseas and Providers who seem to charge more than necessary. We want to be right in the middle and offer the best of both worlds. Our best-priced plan is only 2,250€ and does the essentials.
– Can I do a payment plan? All our plans are payable in full or over up to 5 years interest FREE. The interest free periods are based on initial deposit. The higher the deposit the less your monthly repayments will be.
– Can I transfer the plan? The answer is YES. You could name 2 people on one plan however if you had a friend/family member pass away we can transfer the plan into a 3rd party’s name.
– What happens if I move? All our plans offer the equivalent service in Spain (including the islands), Portugal, Republic of Ireland and the UK. If you moved to the UK, we would transfer the plan to one of our many partners at no extra cost to you.
– Is paperwork included? Yes, your family will receive a death certificate in Spanish and an international certification in English. We also provide a cremation certificate that allows the ashes on board a plane.

MALAGA CITY
Another Home Invasion in Malaga– German octogenarian couple’s home invaded by 12 hooded bandits: {Translation, summary}
– The National Police are investigating an assault on a house in Churriana, Málaga, where at least a dozen armed and hooded individuals posed as police officers during an attempted “vuelco”, a drug robbery between traffickers.
– The gang apparently targeted the wrong address, breaking into the home of a German couple in their eighties. The attack occurred around 5am on 1 October in the El Olivar residential estate. The homeowner first thought a loud blast was thunder before realising intruders were hammering at the front door. The suspects demanded access to the garage leading to the basement but fled after realising their mistake.
– The couple were unharmed, although their house was damaged, the main door having been smashed and temporarily covered with metal fencing. The group reportedly used a van escorted by several BMW off-road vehicles. The Málaga Provincial Police Headquarters has launched an investigation to identify the criminals. Torrox Town Council takes possession of several sections of road to improve access, safety and facilities: {Translation, summary}
– The Town Council of Torrox has assumed responsibility for several sections of the former MA-101 and MA-102 roads following a transfer agreement with the Junta de Andalucía. Mayor Óscar Medina signed the document with regional officials, formalising municipal control of these routes, while the Junta receives the northern access to Torrox built by the Ministry of Public Works.
– Deputy Mayor Paula Moreno explained that the move, approved by the council in 2024, enables the municipality to carry out plans for a new commercial showcase zone between Barranco Plano and Conejito. The road stretch to La Rabitilla also becomes municipal. These connected roads now form a local network serving Torrox Costa, Amberes, La Trocha and the historic centre, complete with pavements and lighting. The council, together with the Local Police and Infrastructure Department, will enhance the uniformity, comfort and safety of the routes to improve traffic flow and pedestrian mobility. CÓMPETA
Forest fire stabilised in the municipality of Cómpeta: {Translation, summary}
– A forest fire broke out at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the municipality of Cómpeta and was stabilised by 4:15 p.m., according to the Infoca Plan. The blaze affected a wooded area in the Axarquía region, prompting a rapid and coordinated response. Six groups of forest firefighters, supported by an environmental agent and two operations technicians, worked to contain the flames. The operation also involved a fire engine, a land-based water plane, a light helicopter, and a medium-weight helicopter, all of which carried out water drops over the affected zone.
– Emergency services continued to monitor the situation as both air and ground units secured the main front. No casualties or evacuations were reported. Authorities confirmed that conditions were favourable for stabilisation, though continued vigilance remains essential given the high temperatures and extended wildfire risk period across much of the province of Málaga. RINCÓN DE LA VICTORIA
Businessman involved in vehicle sales arrested for fraud in Rincón de la Victoria: {Translation, summary}
– Civil Guard officers in Rincón de la Victoria have arrested the owner of a local car dealership accused of fraud, forgery, and identity theft. The case began after two victims reported fraudulent vehicle financing.
– In the first case, a man’s personal data were used without consent to register a car in his name, resulting in debts and fines. In the second, a woman was deceived into taking a 20,000-euro loan, while the suspect allegedly kept part of the funds. The investigation revealed that the detainee used several companies linked to his name to carry out these illegal operations, obtaining around 40,000 euros in total. The Civil Guard continues to investigate, as further victims may exist. Met Office issues ‘prepare for flooding’ warning as 15 parts of Wales in danger:
– A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office warning of heavy rain that could cause disruptions to travel as well as flooding to homes. In Wales, persistent and heavy rain is projected to batter 14 parts of Wales, arriving on Wednesday at around 6am and lasting until midnight. This will be the second day of severe rainfall in the south of the country as a weather warning was also issued for Tuesday, November 11.
– There is a good chance of 20-30 mm of rain falling quite widely, over a 12-15 hour period, and some exposed locations, most likely on south facing hills, could see 40-50 mm or rain. With widely wet antecedent conditions there is an increased risk of flooding in some areas.
– The yellow weather warning for rain was issued on Tuesday, and covers the following areas: Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Powys, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan. It’s official– Amazon’s new system replaces Android and blocks “side-loaded” IPTV apps on new Fire TV Sticks, but there’s an alternative: {Translation, summary}
– Amazon’s Fire TV Stick has long dominated the streaming device market, but its shift from Android to its new VegaOS system has frustrated users by blocking popular and legal apps such as Magis TV and other IPTV services. This has driven many to seek alternatives, and the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Generation has emerged as the best option. Running on Google TV, it gives users complete freedom to install apps through the Google Play Store or via APK files. TRAVEL
What happened to the “social inclusion” mandates the socialist admin is so proud of? Despite active court challenges, Ryanair requires digital boarding passes at Malaga airport from today 12/11/25. “We’ll do as we please, and any fines are just a deductible business expense”: {Translation, summary}
– Ryanair will introduce a fully digital boarding system from Wednesday, 12 November, eliminating the use of printed paper tickets. Passengers flying from Málaga or any other Spanish airport must use the digital boarding card generated by the myRyanair app, which stores a QR code available even without an internet connection. The company claims this change will make travel faster, smarter, and more sustainable, noting that 80% of passengers already use digital passes. Those still printing boarding cards are urged to download the app before travelling. If a phone battery dies or the device is lost, airport staff will issue a boarding card as long as check-in was previously completed. Ryanair says digital passes help reduce airport and passenger costs. However, paper boarding cards remain necessary for flights departing from certain airports, including those in Turkey (except Dalaman), Morocco, and Tirana when flying to the United Kingdom.
– {Note: Ryanair’s move to app-only boarding passes has caused a strong backlash because it effectively excludes anyone without a smartphone (no smartphone, dead battery, lost phone) or without the ability to manage apps for whatever reason. At Málaga Airport, Aena’s PRM (Persons with Reduced Mobility) assistance service can still intervene, contact them for assistance in advance if you don’t use smartphones. If a passenger arrives without a smartphone or with difficulty handling the digital pass, staff can help obtain or print a boarding document. But this is reactive help, not an official Ryanair exemption — meaning it depends on staff discretion and time pressures. In fact, several consumer and disability rights groups in Spain and the EU have already lodged protests that this kind of “digital-only” policy may breach Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006, which guarantees equal access to air travel for persons with reduced mobility, and possibly EU Regulation 261/2004 on passenger rights. You have the right to lodge a formal accessibility or discrimination complaint to Aena, Ryanair, and Spain’s Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea (AESA) if someone is refused boarding because they don’t use a smartphone. Be sure to maintain all documentation if you are denied access to flights as claims for damages, or joining class action lawsuits, will require proof. -Ed} Source, Spanish: https://www.malagahoy.es/malaga/adios-billetes-papel-ryanair-aeropuerto-malaga_0_2005215441.html
