ANNUAL HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER
I can only produce DigameXtra with the financial support of my readers. Once a year, during the year end holidays, I do an 8 week fundraiser to help pay production expenses throughout the whole year. This year’s goal is to receive donations from 4% of subscribers. This “4% Club” finances DigameXtra for the 96% group that don’t donate. Which group will you belong to? The generosity of the 4% Club members is greatly appreciated.
Just like your morning coffee,
what would you do
without your morning DigameXtra?
– Holiday Donation Info, 2 Methods –
DigameXtra subscribers must donate at least €20 (39 cents per week) to gain annual submission posting privileges.
#1. You may drop cash donations off in person and say hello, by appointment, or place them in my mailbox beside my door anytime. Please be sure to include your name on the envelope so I can put you on the list of subscribers with submission posting privileges for 2025-2026! Due to health reasons, unannounced drop-ins are inconvenient for me. But if I am expecting you, no problem! My mailbox has the name HARRIS on it. Email me for map and directions. Cash donations are strongly preferred.
#2. Alternatively, you may send me an Amazon ES (Spain) “eGift card” by email. You need to have an Amazon.es account. The only info you need is my email address and your name (the sender’s name). Remember, this is an “eGift card” you buy that Amazon.es emails directly to me, don’t buy a plain “gift card”. Use the link provided below to access the “eGift card” purchase page.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND AMAZON UK eGIFT CARDS. NO BANK TRANSFERS OR PAYMENT APPS.
Here is the Amazon.es eGift Card Link, (NOTE: YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY AMOUNT YOU LIKE ON THE FORM, THE DEFAULT IS €60):
https://www.amazon.es/Cheques-Regalo-Amazon-es-mail-Amazon/dp/B07SS5PFJK/?th=1&gpo=60
On the eGift card purchase form, enter the DigameXtra email as the recipient, as shown below in Spanish and with English translation.
Para/For : digamextra@protonmail.com
Please do not ask me about gaining posting privileges by making small donations of under €20, several times a year. Several people promised to do that for each of the last two annual fundraisers, and not a single one followed up.
Total Donations Received As Of Today: 22
Target, 4% of subscribers = 200 donations

Santiago Abascal denounces the economic ruin due to the policies of the two-party system– “The reality is that Spaniards are poorer every day”: {Translation}
– The president of VOX, Santiago Abascal, has denounced that the two-party system in recent decades has inflated the big numbers through semi-slave labour, “bringing in more than half a million foreigners each year”. “The reality is that every day the Spanish people are poorer, as explained in the economic programme that José María Figaredo and Carlos H. Quero are presenting across Spain.”
– “The economic rocket of Sánchez is only for him, for his family, for his friends, and for his billionaire bosses. Ordinary people have to choose between filling the fridge or the car’s fuel tank.
– In the same vein, Figaredo has denounced that the two-party system “has hijacked the welfare of the Spanish people”. “We must turn this around by 180°. Completely change the country’s economic policies. The Spanish people are becoming poorer every day. Look, the real average salary in Spain between 1993 and 2023, the last 30 years, has been completely stagnant. However, we pay more taxes than ever, we receive services that are more deteriorated than ever, the infrastructure is becoming increasingly rundown, and insecurity on our streets is more evident each day.” Source, Spanish: https://gaceta.es/espana/casi-un-centenar-de-investigadores-espanoles-entre-los-cientificos-mas-citados-del-mundo-en-2025-20251112-1308/

David Sánchez’s Co-Defendant Attempts To Delay Trial By Filing Dubious Objections: {Translation, summary}
– Preliminary actions have begun before the February trial concerning alleged perversion of justice and influence peddling linked to David Sánchez Pérez Castejón, brother of the Prime Minister, and the creation of a senior post in the Provincial Council of Badajoz designed specifically for him. One co-defendant, Juana Cinta Calderón, has filed a challenge against the three magistrates assigned to the case, claiming they formed prejudicial opinions during earlier rulings. Her challenge relies on previous decisions that upheld the investigation judge’s findings and argues that the magistrates have already reached conclusions on essential elements of the offence.
– Legal sources describe this objection as a dubious manoeuvre with little chance of success and note that its true purpose is to delay the trial scheduled for 9 to 14 February. The Superior Court of Justice of Extremadura will decide on the challenge, though it may disrupt the timetable. Defence lawyers also support postponement due to another overlapping trial. ANDALUCÍA
The storm gives way to a mass of cold air that will leave temperatures of zero degrees in the eastern area from Thursday: {Translation, summary}
– Storm Claudia began to subside on Monday in Andalusia, although ‘there are still remnants,’ and a sharp drop in temperatures is expected from Thursday onwards, with temperatures close to zero degrees in the eastern part of the region, due to a mass of cold air that has moved from the Galician coast towards the south of the peninsula.
– From Tuesday onwards the region is expecting an Atlantic anticyclone that will bring ‘a mass of cold air from the north to the south’, which will lead to a drop in temperatures over the next few days.
– On Thursday 20th, rain is expected to return due to a trough in the eastern part of Andalusia, which will cause ‘some precipitation that may be snow above 1,000 metres’ in Sierra Nevada, in the Sierra de Cazorla (Jaén) and in the city of Granada. However, this precipitation ‘will cease with the arrival of the weekend’ and there will be ‘clear skies’ throughout Andalusia.
– As for the low temperatures caused by the cold air mass left behind by Storm Claudia, relatively cool temperatures for this time of year are expected over the weekend, with particular emphasis on the aforementioned mountain ranges and even the possibility of frost in the city of Granada on Friday and Saturday. Winds will be from the west and north and will blow ‘more intensely and moderately strongly on Thursday, especially in the eastern part of Andalusia. ‘Claudia’ brings the largest amount of water to the reservoirs of Andalusia since March: {Translation, summary}
– Storm Claudia has delivered sustained heavy rainfall across Andalusia, reversing months of drought and significantly replenishing water reserves. Over three days, the Guadalquivir basin’s reservoirs increased by more than 200 cubic hectometres, reaching 3,525 cubic hectometres, almost 44% of total capacity, and surpassing the start-of-year level by 131 cubic hectometres.
– The 49 reservoir installations in the region have not experienced such inflows since mid-March. Irrigation reserves have also improved, with over 32 cubic hectometres added in a single day, now exceeding 32% of capacity. Other Andalusian river systems, including the Tinto-Odiel-Piedras-Chanza and Guadalete-Barbate, have seen significant gains, with Guadalete-Barbate now holding 687 cubic hectometres, a 48% increase compared to last year. Rivers and runoff remain high and are expected to continue feeding the reservoirs in the coming days. Overall, the storm has greatly strengthened Andalusia’s water supply, ensuring resources for domestic use, agriculture, and irrigation across the region. MALAGA PROVINCE
Police Warn of Growing Use of Minors by International Crime Groups in Malaga: {Translation, summary}
– Organised crime on the Costa del Sol increasingly uses vulnerable adolescents, some recruited abroad, who are lured into carrying out violent orders for small sums, often between four thousand and five thousand euros. Police report that minors contacted through digital channels, including Telegram, are treated as disposable operatives, frequently trapped by drug debts or financial hardship.
– Criminal groups based in other European countries direct these actions remotely and send young enforcers to Spain while their leaders remain outside Spanish jurisdiction. Investigators also note a rise in firearms in the area, driven by conflict zones and access through the dark web. Recent operations dismantled networks that offered violent jobs through online chats, and authorities highlight the difficulty of reaching the instigators rather than only the hired youths. Despite the risks posed by armed criminal groups, Malaga police leadership insists that they will continue to confront these organisations and limit their influence. TORROX
Another Home Invasion– Four masked men armed with knives assault a family in Torrox: {Translation in full}
– The municipality of Torrox, in the Axarquía de Málaga, has been shaken by a violent assault that occurred during the early hours of Saturday, when four men armed with knives broke into a house in a residential valley around 1:45am. The intruders, who were wearing balaclavas and whose nationality has not been determined, threatened the owner and her son while searching several rooms of the property.
– Although the assault was initially reported as being located in Frigiliana, sources of the investigation have clarified to SER that the exact location of the house is in the municipality of Torrox. According to the family’s testimony, the assailants were mainly looking for money and possible jewellery. After looting the house, they fled without a trace.
– The Civil Guard has taken over the investigation to try to identify and locate those responsible. Meanwhile, the authorities have asked residents to take extreme precautions, keep their homes well secured and avoid leaving tools or objects outside that could facilitate the entry of potential criminals. {But don’t even think of defending yourself and your property– or you could very well be the one who ends up in jail. Everyone living in the campo needs to have well trained guard dogs, it’s your only legal defence. -Ed.} Source, Spanish: https://cadenaser.com/andalucia/2025/11/17/cuatro-hombres-armados-con-cuchillos-asaltan-a-una-familia-en-frigiliana-malaga-cadena-ser/

MOTRIL
Oral trial opened against the mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, for alleged embezzlement: {Translation, summary}
– The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 3 of Motril has opened a trial against mayor Luisa García Chamorro (PP) for alleged embezzlement of public funds. She is accused of using money from the PP municipal group in Motril and the PP group in the Granada Provincial Council between 2019 and 2020 to pay a fine imposed on her in 2017 for serious insults against a former Socialist manager. García Chamorro is the sole person under investigation after two others were provisionally dismissed. The judge emphasised that funds allocated to political groups come from public resources and cannot be used for private purposes, as García Chamorro allegedly did. Returning part of the money to the group accounts does not prevent the prosecution, as the crime may have already been committed, though it could serve as a mitigating factor. The case will be judged by a popular jury, with the Granada Court of Appeal setting the hearing date. GRANADA
The highway to the Coast will reopen traffic normally this Friday until after Christmas: {Translation, summary}
– The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility will reopen the A 44 between kilometres 165 and 175 this Friday 21 November at 13:00 after completing the main repairs to the Rules Viaduct. The ten kilometre closure between Izbor and Vélez de Benaudalla/Órgiva that has been in place since September will therefore end before the periods of greatest travel, including the Immaculate Conception holiday weekend and the Christmas season. The works have advanced rapidly thanks to reinforced teams working continuous 24 hour shifts, including weekends.
– Further works will take place after Christmas. From 13 January to 27 February, the A 44 will be closed again between junction 167 at Izbor and junction 175 at Vélez de Benaudalla and Vélez de Benaudalla and Órgiva. During this period, two fully signposted alternative routes will be in place. Traffic towards Motril will be diverted from junction 167 onto the N 323, later joining the A 346 at kilometre point 175.150 to reconnect with the A 44 at kilometre point 177.700, with the option of continuing on the N 323. Traffic towards Granada will be diverted from junction 175 onto the N 323, then to the A 346, before rejoining the A 44 at kilometre point 166.200, with priority at all intersections. EUROPE
The EU’s New Censorship Machine– These people do not represent us, they believe their purpose is to “manage” society as they see fit, and totalitarianism is their method: {Summary}
– The European Democracy Shield is presented as a defence of free people, free elections and an active civil society, yet its structure raises serious concerns about centralised control over speech and information. The plan includes a Monitoring Centre empowered to remove what officials label false content or disinformation. Although described as independent, the planned fact checking networks and media bodies depend heavily on Commission funding, creating a system in which those who receive money are also those responsible for verifying narratives and they will do as their masters decree. This circular arrangement concentrates “authority over truth” in Brussels.
– Existing programmes such as the Digital Services Act and large scale funding schemes for NGOs, media and universities already channel substantial sums into groups expected to promote European values and counter Eurosceptic ideas. This creates a landscape in which civil society, journalism and academic research risk becoming extensions of institutional messaging rather than independent checks on power.
– Further proposals include strengthened election oversight and even an EU intelligence unit under Commission control, raising fears that tools meant to protect democracy could instead interfere with national politics and reduce accountability. The overall pattern suggests an expanding bureaucratic system that limits open debate, narrows acceptable viewpoints and uses public money to reinforce its own authority while claiming to defend democratic freedoms. Trump Now Says Republicans Should Vote To Release Epstein Files– ‘I Don’t Care’: {Summary}
– President Donald Trump on Sunday night said House Republicans should vote to release the government’s files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, marking a shift in tone after the president repeatedly dismissed the issue, claiming it was a “hoax” perpetrated by Democrats, and publicly attacked Republican lawmakers pushing for their release.
– In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.” Reiterating his “hoax” claims, Trump added: “It’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.’”
– The president said the Justice Department is looking at “various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein,” and the House Oversight Committee can have access to “whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!”
– Trump wrote: “Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory.” Full article: https://www.forbes.com/sites/siladityaray/2025/11/17/trump-now-says-republicans-should-vote-to-release-epstein-files-i-dont-care/

‘Very severely sanctioned’– Trump warns countries trading with Russia; backs bill imposing 500% tariff on Russian oil resales: {Summary}
– US President Donald Trump has thrown his weight behind a new wave of hard-hitting sanctions aimed at isolating Russia, warning that countries maintaining trade ties with Moscow—and potentially Iran—will be “very severely sanctioned. ”Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Trump said he supported congressional efforts to advance tougher penalties on Russia and President Vladimir Putin. “I hear they’re doing that, and that’s okay with me,” he said.
– He added that Republicans were “passing legislation… very tough sanctioning… on any country doing business with Russia,” noting, “They may add Iran to that… I suggested it.”
“So any country that does business with Russia will be very severely sanctioned. We may add Iran to the formula,” added Trump.
– The administration has already imposed some of the steepest tariffs in the world, including a 50 per cent duty on India and a 25 per cent tariff tied to its purchases of Russian energy.
– On Capitol Hill, senators are pushing for even stronger measures. A bill introduced by Senator Lindsey Graham calls for a 500 per cent tariff on secondary purchases and reselling of Russian oil, a proposal with broad support in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
