ANNUAL HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER
I can only produce DigameXtra with the financial support of my readers. Once a year, during the year end holidays, I do an 8 week fundraiser to help pay production expenses throughout the whole year. This year’s goal is to receive donations from 4% of subscribers. This “4% Club” finances DigameXtra for the 96% group that don’t donate. Which group will you belong to? The generosity of the 4% Club members is greatly appreciated.
Just like your morning coffee,
what would you do
without your morning DigameXtra?
– Holiday Donation Info, 2 Methods –
DigameXtra subscribers must donate at least €20 (39 cents per week) to gain annual submission posting privileges.
#1. You may drop cash donations off in person and say hello, by appointment, or place them in my mailbox beside my door anytime. Please be sure to include your name on the envelope so I can put you on the list of subscribers with submission posting privileges for 2025-2026! Due to health reasons, unannounced drop-ins are inconvenient for me. But if I am expecting you, no problem! My mailbox has the name HARRIS on it. Email me for map and directions. Cash donations are strongly preferred.
#2. Alternatively, you may send me an Amazon ES (Spain) “eGift card” by email. You need to have an Amazon.es account. The only info you need is my email address and your name (the sender’s name). Remember, this is an “eGift card” you buy that Amazon.es emails directly to me, don’t buy a plain “gift card”. Use the link provided below to access the “eGift card” purchase page.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND AMAZON UK eGIFT CARDS. NO BANK TRANSFERS OR PAYMENT APPS.
Here is the Amazon.es eGift Card Link, (NOTE: YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY AMOUNT YOU LIKE ON THE FORM, THE DEFAULT IS €60):
https://www.amazon.es/Cheques-Regalo-Amazon-es-mail-Amazon/dp/B07SS5PFJK/?th=1&gpo=60
On the eGift card purchase form, enter the DigameXtra email as the recipient, as shown below in Spanish and with English translation.
Para/For : digamextra@protonmail.com
Please do not ask me about gaining posting privileges by making small donations of under €20, several times a year. Several people promised to do that for each of the last two annual fundraisers, and not a single one followed up.
Total Donations Received As Of Today: 30
Target, 4% of subscribers = 200 donations

Reader’s Soapbox:
Good morning Naythan,
– Hope all is well with you and that the donations are flowing in, unfortunately, it can take a while extracting blood from stones !!
– I was again incensed to read about corruption within the Ukrainian government.
– Van de Lying, Micron, Sir Liar Starmer and the rest of “The Willing” idiots, have provided obscene amounts of financial and military aid to Ukraine in its defence against Russia, another 800 million from Sanchez again yesterday, and this without even a budget being agreed since 2023 !!
– However, due to ongoing corruption issues within Ukraine, there is a growing need for transparency in how this aid is used. Without proper oversight, there is the risk that funds and weapons are being misappropriated, misused, or diverted, (remember the guns that turned up in the narco raids in Gibraltar last year, originally supplied to Ukraine by the US),diminishing their impact and fuelling further corruption.
– Corruption remains a significant issue in Ukraine, despite efforts at reform. The lack of clear accountability in the allocation of military aid raises concerns that arms are being sold on the black market or misused, undermining both the effectiveness of the support and international security.
– European governments are also losing public support because citizens are becoming unhappy that their taxes are being wasted or misused. Demanding greater transparency from Ukraine would help maintain public trust and ensure that aid is used effectively. Moreover, it could push Ukraine to strengthen its own democratic institutions and fight corruption more vigorously.
– In conclusion, European governments should consider refusing further aid to Ukraine until Zelensky is removed from office, and transparent systems are in place to ensure that military and financial support is being used properly. This would not only protect taxpayers’ money but also promote long-term stability in Ukraine and support its democratic development. S.B.

SPAIN
GUILTY– The Supreme Court sentences Attorney General García Ortiz to two years of disqualification, plus fines & court costs, for revealing secrets of Ayuso’s boyfriend: {Translation, summary}
– The Supreme Court has disqualified Álvaro García Ortiz {pic} for two years from holding public office for leaking confidential information about Isabel Díaz Ayuso’s partner, Alberto González Amador. The court also imposed 10,000 euros in moral damages to González Amador and 7,300 euros in fines on the Attorney General. The ruling follows García Ortiz’s leak of an email on 13 March 2024, in which González Amador admitted committing two tax offences. The email was published on La Cadena SER late that night, while a press release prepared by García Ortiz and his communications team was issued the next morning.
– Despite the gravity of the leak, no prison sentence was imposed, though García Ortiz will leave the Attorney General’s office. At the trial, the prosecution and García Ortiz’s defence requested acquittal, while other parties sought three to six years’ imprisonment.
– The case illustrates an inequity: although García Ortiz’s actions unlawfully disclosed private information affecting González Amador, the Supreme Court’s decision limits penalties to disqualification, fines, and compensation, leaving broader questions about accountability for systemic leaks and misuse of confidential information unresolved. A civil case to claim greater compensation by the victim is sure to follow. What appeals can the Attorney General file against the Supreme Court’s conviction?: {DigameXtra}
– The Supreme Court has banned Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz [pic} from his post for two years for revealing secrets and hit him with a 7,200-euro fine plus 10,000 euros in compensation, but he still has options to challenge it.
– First, he can file with the court an “Incidente de Nulidad” (application for annulment), though these rarely succeed.
– Next, he can appeal to the Constitutional Court with an amparo appeal, which doesn’t automatically stop the sentence, so he would still need to pay the fines and serve the disqualification unless the courts allow a “precautionary measure” relieving him of these penalties.
– Once domestic appeals are exhausted, he could take his case to the European Court of Human Rights, which looks at possible human-rights violations rather than retrial. There’s also a small chance the case could involve the Court of Justice of the EU if an EU-law issue comes up, though Spanish courts must agree to this. These steps give him some ways to fight or reduce the impact while the legal process runs its course.

The Government disagrees with the conviction of the Attorney General, but will appoint a new one “in the coming days”: {Translation, summary}
– Pedro Sánchez’s government is managing the fallout from the Supreme Court’s unprecedented conviction of Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz for revealing secrets. The Prime Minister’s office says it respects the ruling but disagrees with it and continues to support García Ortiz, praising his work in defending law and truth. The conviction disqualifies him for two years and requires fines and compensation to businessman Alberto González Amador (the partner of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, President of the Community of Madrid) {pic} whose private financial affairs were disclosed. The leaks allegedly violated González Amador’s privacy and may have been directed by the Presidency to negatively influence public perception of Ayuso by association; she has been very vocal with her criticisms of Sánchez.
– The Government plans to appoint a prestigious replacement while portraying García Ortiz as a public martyr. Within the party headquarters, the perception is of a judiciary ready to undermine the Executive, collaborating with right-wing political and media forces. The Government aims to use the case symbolically to energise supporters and highlight alleged hostility from opposition and judicial circles.

FRIGILIANA
Frigiliana orders its urgent departure from the Axarquía Association of Municipalities: {Translation, summary}
– Frigiliana’s mayor, Alejandro Herrero (PSOE), has formally requested that the town, which has over 3,000 inhabitants, leave the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol-Axarquía. He believes that his town gains “zero benefit,” since it does not even rely on the La Viñuela reservoir for its high-level water supply. Tensions escalated after an administrative case related to sound equipment earlier this summer required an assigned official, but the council’s request for one was denied twice, citing lack of personnel. Herrero criticised the Mancomunidad for providing only minimal services, such as a monthly cherry-picker crane, and for prioritising unrelated topics like international affairs over urgent local issues, including daily traffic congestion to Málaga. He also requested a full list of all remunerations within the organisation to assess whether staffing is appropriate. VÉLEZ-MÁLAGA
VOX denounces the “low cost” asphalting of the N-340 as it passes through Vélez-Málaga: {Translation}
– The VOX Municipal Group in Vélez-Málaga stated on Thursday, beside the N-340 road, that the Government of Spain is carrying out what they call a botched job in the preparatory works before the transfer of the road to the Town Council. Its spokesperson, Javier Herreros, explained that both residents and regular users of the road are alarmed by the construction solution being applied, which he says is far from what the central government had promised.
– He said: what we were told was that the N-340 would be resurfaced along its entire length with a suitable thickness to guarantee safety and durability. However, what they are laying is a slurry-type bituminous mix (blend of asphalt and aggregates), intended for low-traffic roads and for correcting minor surface defects, but offering no structural strength to the existing pavement. It is a cheap solution and not appropriate for a road of this kind.
– The VOX Municipal Group says this work is yet another example of the Government of Spain misleading the people of Vélez. Herreros added that the Government has taken them for fools. He also criticised the municipal governing team for allowing this situation. He said this shows once again the lack of leadership of Mr Lupiáñez, who is unable to negotiate real and beneficial solutions for the municipality, as well as what he called the lack of capability, even of judgement, on the part of the Infrastructure Councillor, Jesús María Claros.
– Enough of Vélez-Málaga being placed at the bottom of the Government of Spain’s priorities, he concluded. For this reason they call on Mr Lupiáñez to demand that the Government fulfil the full commitment made to the municipality. ALGARROBO
Algarrobo reinforces police surveillance against thefts and robberies in the Axarquía: {Translation, summary}
– The Algarrobo Town Council has announced an urgent increase in police patrols after receiving multiple reports of thefts on the coast and robberies in rural parts of the Axarquía. These incidents have prompted the council to intensify police presence across the municipality at once. The Local Police will remain in constant coordination with the Civil Guard to ensure rapid and effective intervention whenever new attempts occur.
– Mayor Natacha Rivas said the rise in crime makes prevention essential and that swift action is needed to deter further attempts. She stressed that even small signs of suspicious activity can help stop thefts and robberies before they happen, urging residents to report anything unusual without hesitation. Residents are reminded to contact:

ALMUÑÉCAR
Almuñécar and La Herradura lay the first stone of the Coastal Path: {Translation, summary}
– The project begins construction of the first section of the Coastal Path, a new 24 kilometre walkway running along the shoreline of Almuñécar and linking the provincial boundary with Málaga across to the municipal boundary with Salobreña. This section continues the coastal walkway already built in Motril and forms part of a larger corridor planned for the Granada coast.
– The works start at the Cantarriján stream and end near Barranco de Enmedio beach, with an additional western branch that connects directly to the N 340 road and the Cantarriján beach car park. The route will pass through protected natural areas such as Maro Cerro Gordo and will include improvements to scenic points along the coast, including the Peñón del Lobo, Cerro Gordo, Punta de la Mona and Torre del Diablo viewpoints. The project also links the natural area of Cerro Gordo with the Cabria zone, creating new pedestrian and leisure access along the coastline. Fresh weather warnings issued for Friday as parts of UK threatened with blizzard conditions:
– More yellow weather warnings have been issued for parts of the UK on Friday, as some roads are reported to be “gridlocked” and dozens of schools are closed. See official announcements here: https://weather.metoffice.gov.uk/warnings-and-advice/uk-warnings#?date=2025-11-21

Fresh weather warnings issued as parts of UK threatened with blizzard conditions, possible “thundersnow”:
– As temperatures plummet, forecasters also warned the North York Moors and the Highlands of Scotland – could experience “thundersnow.” Temperatures could also drop to a staggering minus 12. This is a phenomenon where thunderstorms form in wintry weather and give rise to heavy falls of snow rather than rain. It happens in seven of every 100,000 thunderstorms.
– Heavy snow descended on parts of the North and East Yorkshire on Thursday, leaving schools and tourist attractions closed. Some roads in the North York Moors were left “impassable” after 25cm of snow fell. Full article: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/thundersnow-alert-rare-weather-event-36278436

Tennis News– Spain’s Munar beats Czechia’s Lehecka and the doubles match will decide the semifinalist: {Translation, summary}
– Spanish tennis player Jaume Munar has levelled the Davis Cup quarter-final tie between Spain and the Czech Republic, which is being played in Bologna (Italy) on indoor hard courts, after beating Jiri Lehecka in two sets (6-3, 6-4). This means that the doubles match will decide which team goes through to the semi-finals. TECH
Sturnus, the Android banking trojan that bypasses encryption in apps like WhatsApp and Telegram: {Translation, summary}
– Sturnus is a newly identified banking trojan aimed at Android users in Europe, distributed through phishing campaigns and run by a private operator. Although still considered in the early stages of its development, it already shows advanced capabilities. The malware can steal banking credentials by placing false login screens over legitimate applications and can give cybercriminals full control of an infected device. This allows them to observe user behaviour and hide malicious activity.
– Its most concerning feature is its ability to compromise encrypted messaging platforms, including WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal. Rather than breaking encryption, Sturnus uses Accessibility Service permissions to read everything displayed on screen. It waits until each messaging application decrypts a message for the user, then silently captures the contents. This method completely sidesteps end to end encryption and exposes private conversations, placing any sensitive information shared through these services at significant risk. Meta (Fakebook, Instascam & WhatsAppalling), sentenced to pay 479 million to the Spanish media (but not us actual victims) for using private user data to insert advertising: {Translation, summary}
– Madrid’s Commercial Court No. 15 has ordered Meta to pay 479 million euros to 87 Spanish digital press outlets and news agencies in AMI for unfairly using personal data from Facebook and Instagram users to gain an advertising advantage. The court found that Meta’s behavioural advertising, based on millions of improperly obtained data points, gave it a significant edge over Spain’s digital press.
– The claim covers May 2018 to July 2023, after the GDPR came into force. Meta Ireland refused to provide Spanish accounts to investigators, so the court independently verified claims and concluded that Meta earned over 5.281 billion euros in Spain during this period through unlawful practices.
– Yet the fine compensates the press with only €479 million, leaving more than 4.8 billion euros of illicit profit with Meta. The ruling specifies that this compensation should be shared among competing digital media outlets, proportionally to their market share. The actual victims– ordinary users whose personal data fuelled Meta’s massive profits– receive nothing. The case highlights the severe imbalance in data misuse cases, where tech giants retain most gains while competitors and users see only partial or no redress. CULTURAL REVOLUTION
Elon Musk rebukes Alex Soros, son of George: ‘Can you stop trying to destroy civilisation for five minutes?’: {Translation}
– Elon Musk has once again publicly challenged the Open Society Foundations, this time with a direct and scathing message aimed at Álex Soros, heir to the political and financial network founded by George Soros. The owner of X responded to a thread by OSF and Álex Soros himself with a phrase that went viral within minutes: “Could you stop trying to destroy civilisation for five minutes? That would be great.”
– The exchange began when Álex Soros posted a defiant message asserting that his organisation “is not going anywhere”, accompanied by a statement from the Open Society defending its role in the United States and warning that it will take legal action if it believes its “rights” are violated. In that context, Musk intervened with his now-famous reply, sending an unequivocal message to the heart of the globalist conglomerate.
– The billionaire’s phrase, viewed millions of times in hours, encapsulates a conflict that has escalated over years. Musk has repeatedly accused Soros of funding movements intended to destabilise the West, weaken democratic order, and promote identity and migration policies that fragment societies. In 2023 he claimed that Soros “hates humanity”, but Wednesday’s response was his most forceful since acquiring X.
– The clash between the two blocs, the new technological axis represented by Musk and the Soros political / philanthropic network, has become one of the most significant cultural battles of the moment. The Open Society insists its work is “peaceful” and aimed at “strengthening democracy”. For Musk and his supporters, however, its operations constitute social engineering funded on a global scale. NEW LIFE CHURCH
New Life Church
– Sunday Service:
Whether you live in Nerja or are visiting our area, you are very welcome to come and join us on Sundays at 11.00am. Join us for a time of Holy Spirit led worship and experience the presence of our God. Our teaching is Bible based as we honour God and obey His Word. During this time of uncertainty, God’s Word reminds us that the Gospel shines brightest in times of darkness. Our service lasts for about 1 hour and 30 mins. With Tea and Coffee afterwards.
– Prayer Meeting:
You are also welcome to join our prayer meetings on Wednesday mornings at 11.00am for 1 hour, where we meet for prayer and worship.
– Jesus said: “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. (John 14:6)
