Junts Demanded It & Sanchez Delivers– Government approves a guarantee to cover non-payments to landlords who rent to young and vulnerable people– Many rental units will not qualify: {Translation, summary}
– The Spanish Government has approved a royal decree creating a rental coverage scheme for landlords leasing to young people and vulnerable individuals. Managed by autonomous communities and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, the coverage aims to ease access to housing for these groups. Landlords must meet conditions such as renting to tenants under 35 or vulnerable individuals, charging rent below the national reference index, depositing the legal rental bond, and signing the approved rental guarantee agreement. Alquiler Seguro says that the guarantee against rental non-payments is “ineffective” and does not benefit the majority of owners: {Translation, summary}
– Alquiler Seguro has sharply criticised the new public rental guarantee approved by the Council of Ministers, calling it “ineffective” and unhelpful for most landlords. Torrox Hiking School begins its season on December 14 in Riofrío with a program with 18 routes: {Translation, summary}

Storm Bram brings flooding and travel disruption to UK:
– Trains, flights and ferries were cancelled and thousands left without power on Tuesday as Storm Bram brought heavy rain, strong winds and unseasonably mild temperatures to large parts of the UK.
– A fresh amber warning for wind, indicating a possible danger to life, came into effect in north-west Scotland at 16:00 GMT, with gusts of up to 90mph (145 km/h) possible into the early hours of Wednesday. Bypass Your Amazon Fire TV Stick Piracy Ban and See What Happens Next:
– After enjoying years of relative freedom to do whatever they liked with their Amazon Fire TV Sticks, last month users were informed that apps linked to piracy would be blocked, banned, or even deleted moving forward. With alerts now appearing on users’ devices relating to one app in particular (BeeTV, more soon to follow), it transpires that bypassing Amazon’s restrictions is really easy, at least for now, just one click. The bigger question being asked right now is this: what happens when you do click the “Launch Anyway” button?
– Using the BeeTV IPTV app as an example, aside from launching at boot and the ability to install additional software, the app can harvest personal information, obtain information on contacts, and the content of their messages on the device. The women of the Andalusian PSOE mobilise against sexual harassment– “Not a single unanswered aggression”: {Translation, summary}

Brighter, slower, and often coloured yellow to green, the Geminids can outshine the Perseids meteor shower, with up to 150 meteors per hour under ideal conditions.
– Unlike most meteor showers, the Geminids originate from the asteroid (3200) Phaethon, a 5–6 km hybrid asteroid comet whose orbit near the Sun releases dust and small fragments along its path. Each December, Earth passes through this trail, generating the spectacular display. The Moon, in its last quarter, will rise only around 03:00, causing minimal interference. Observers are advised to find dark locations free of light pollution and view with the naked eye. Telescopes are unnecessary, but warm clothing and a few minutes for eyes to adjust to the dark will enhance the experience. Phaethon poses no collision risk for centuries.
