– Router Updates: Most router manufacturers have released updates for the new year. Not doing the update can slow your Internet speeds down by up tp 90%! Doing the update is simple. Simply power off your router, and the secondary router power box if you have one, and let them sit 2 minutes. Then restart them both. There will be a few minutes delay as the update is installed. Your router lights may flash as the update installs. When the lights quit blinking, go back to your device and re-connect to your network. Many devices will reconnect automatically. You can do internet speed tests before and after to see the improvement for yourself. If there is no improvement, then you were already up to date.
– Watching Hi-Definition Video Files On Windows With A Media Player: As long as your screen/monitor is less than 10 years old, it should be able to play hi-def video clearly. If you play high quality HD/FHD/UHD/4K/DVD/BLURAY videos, p1080 & above, on your Windows computer, and are disappointed with the image quality, the problem may be the media player you’re using. VLC Player, first released in 2001, the same year Windows XP, is by far the most popular media player, and has been for years, but it is now showing its age. Many people report VLC struggles with hi-def content. The best media player option I have found is “Pot Player”.
