ANNUAL HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER
I can only produce DigameXtra with the financial support of my readers. Once a year, during the year end holidays, I do an 8 week fundraiser to help pay production expenses throughout the whole year. This year’s goal is to receive donations from 4% of subscribers. This “4% Club” finances DigameXtra for the 96% group that don’t donate. Which group will you belong to? The generosity of the 4% Club members is greatly appreciated.
Just like your morning coffee,
what would you do
without your morning DigameXtra?
– Holiday Donation Info, 2 Methods –
DigameXtra subscribers must donate at least €20 (39 cents per week) to gain annual submission posting privileges.
#1. You may drop cash donations off in person and say hello, by appointment, or place them in my mailbox beside my door anytime. Please be sure to include your name on the envelope so I can put you on the list of subscribers with submission posting privileges for 2025-2026! Due to health reasons, unannounced drop-ins are inconvenient for me. But if I am expecting you, no problem! My mailbox has the name HARRIS on it. Email me for map and directions. Cash donations are strongly preferred.
#2. Alternatively, you may send me an Amazon ES (Spain) “eGift card” by email. You need to have an Amazon.es account. The only info you need is my email address and your name (the sender’s name). Remember, this is an “eGift card” you buy that Amazon.es emails directly to me, don’t buy a plain “gift card”. Use the link provided below to access the “eGift card” purchase page.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND AMAZON UK eGIFT CARDS. NO BANK TRANSFERS OR PAYMENT APPS.
Here is the Amazon.es eGift Card Link, (NOTE: YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY AMOUNT YOU LIKE ON THE FORM, THE DEFAULT IS €60):
https://www.amazon.es/Cheques-Regalo-Amazon-es-mail-Amazon/dp/B07SS5PFJK/?th=1&gpo=60
On the eGift card purchase form, enter the DigameXtra email as the recipient, as shown below in Spanish and with English translation.
Para/For : digamextra@protonmail.com
Please do not ask me about gaining posting privileges by making small donations of under €20, several times a year. Several people promised to do that for each of the last two annual fundraisers, and not a single one followed up.
Total Donations Received As Of Today: 119
Target, 4% of subscribers = 200 donations
This year’s fundraiser will be extended until the end of January. This will give readers who have been out of town for the holidays a chance to get their donations in. The very modest target is donations from 4% of subscribers, currently the tally is just over 2.3%. Thanks again to those that have donated, it is much appreciated!

Feedback On Autism Article:
Hi Naythan, I was so happy to see your post today about the CDC.
The changes are long overdue. I think it might be helpful for your subscribers to know that in the U.S., the rate of autism is currently 1 in 31 children, higher in California at 1 in 27. There is an amazing film that is available for everyone to watch – for free. Thus far, over 1 million people from around the world have watched this documentary. It’s called ‘An Inconvenient Study’ (2025). It won the Best Picture award at the Malibu film festival this past spring. Here’s the link that your subscribers can use if they’re interested in learning about this reality in the U.S. and watching the free movie:
[ https://www.aninconvenientstudy.com/ ]
The film documents a large-scale research project that compares vaccinated children against unvaccinated children across ALL health categories. It exposes, through hidden camera, why this research was prevented from seeing the light. This is not unusual for research that is inconvenient to mainstream medicine.
Thanks for your consideration of posting this critically important film. -MR

The fact Sánchez doesn’t want you to know- Spain has the highest inflation rate among Europe’s major economies: {Translation, summary}
– Spain’s families face falling living standards despite Government claims of an economic miracle under Pedro Sánchez, as 2025 average annual inflation hit 2.7 per cent, highest among major European economies, with big-picture, cherry picked statistics failing to improve daily life.
– Spain’s 2025 full-year average inflation totalled 2.7 per cent (down one tenth from 2024). The underlying inflation rate stayed at 2.6 per cent annually. December’s inflation rate was 2.9 per cent (one tenth below November’s). Food prices rose to 3 per cent annual inflation in December due to higher legumes, vegetables, oils and fats.
– Germany’s 2025 average was 2.2 per cent (December 1.8 per cent); Italy’s IPCA annual average 1.7 per cent (December 1.2 per cent); France 0.8 per cent excluding rent/tobacco. These figures expose the gap between official cheer and real household costs. Environmentalists denounce tightrope walking and zip lines on a watchtower in the Maro cliffs area: {Translation, summary}
– The Axarquía Nature Study Office (GENA–Ecologists in Action) has denounced dangerous tightrope walking and zip-line activities at the ruined eighteenth-century Paper Mill Watchtower in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs natural area, a protected Cultural Interest Asset (BIC).
– The historic structure, on the Red List since 2022 due to decay, is being used for unauthorised rope anchors, risking lives, heritage and surrounding habitats in this Natura 2000 Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and SPAMI site. GENA calls the acts “wholly incompatible” with strict protections under Andalusia’s natural spaces law and blames regional authorities for “passivity” amid a pattern of abuses, including recent illegal clearing near El Cañuelo beach, illegal camping, rubbish, off-path vehicles and loose dogs. “The problem is structural,” they warn, as the area becomes a “theme park without rules” that threatens biodiversity. GENA demands immediate intervention by the Andalusian Sustainability Department to halt practices, impose sanctions and boost patrols, stressing that delay risks irreversible harm. Larios begins to demolish buildings on his agricultural estates in the fertile plain of Maro: {Translation, summary}
– Sociedad Azucarera Larios has begun demolishing rental homes in the Maro plain near Nerja after announcing the end of about 400 lease contracts, affecting some eighty families. The first demolition, of tenant Loli Fernández’s home, caused public outrage after being carried out without prior warning, allegedly with her belongings still inside. Local groups accuse the company of evicting residents without transparency or legal clarity, while Fernández has filed a Civil Guard complaint.
– Sociedad Azucarera Larios says the plan aims to restore 150 hectares of farmland to “strictly agricultural” use by removing irregular buildings and water tanks before summer 2026. Residents argue this policy erases long-standing communities and sustainable farming projects. Meanwhile, the company’s stalled “Maro Golf” development, including a golf course, 500 homes and three hotels, remains under review. Political leaders urge mediation and support for affected families, and Nerja’s mayor notes the land may ultimately retain agricultural rather than urban use. Hard-right populist wins a place in a two-way runoff in Portugal’s presidential election:
– The leader of a hard-right populist party placed second in Portugal’s presidential election Sunday in a stunning outcome and will face a centre-left opponent in a runoff vote next month that could bring another political breakthrough for Europe’s growing far-right parties, according to near-complete results.
– With almost 98% of votes counted, André Ventura, leader of the Chega (Enough) party that he founded less than seven years ago, captured 24% of the vote and placed second behind centre-left Socialist candidate António José Seguro who led with almost 31%. They will face off in a second-round ballot between the two top candidates on Feb. 8. HEALTH
Wounds that do not heal? The biological mechanism that slows down skin repair (and how to turn it off): {Translation, summary}
– An international team led by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), has uncovered a ground-breaking approach to heal chronic wounds infected by antibiotic-resistant bacteria, addressing a global health crisis that claims countless limbs yearly.
– The Problem: Chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers strike 18.6 million people worldwide annually, mainly among diabetics and the elderly. Opportunistic Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) thwarts healing by generating hydrogen peroxide through extracellular electron transfer (EET), sparking oxidative stress. This triggers the unfolded protein response in keratinocytes, halting cell migration and repair, while rising antibiotic resistance complicates treatment and raises amputation risks.
– The Solution: Researchers neutralised the threat using catalase, a natural antioxidant enzyme that dismantles hydrogen peroxide, slashing cellular stress and restoring wound closure. Tests with EET-deficient bacterial strains confirmed the mechanism. Antioxidant-infused dressings promise a swift, resistance-proof therapy, fast-tracking from lab to clinic via animal studies toward human trials. TECH
DoctorLaptop’s Tips #122
A Better Search Engine- FREESPOKE:
– There is a new, free to use search engine that some people will find a great improvement over Google, DuckDuckGo, etc. It’s called Freespoke. It’s ad-free, it’s private, it’s bias-free, it’s not owned by big-tech (It’s owned by the wealthy owner of the Chicago Cubs baseball team, not a technocrat.) and you can choose if you want a simple web search, or an AI assisted search, from the search bar.
**From their website**
– It’s Built Different From the Ground Up. A lot of products claim to offer an alternative to Big Tech, but underneath the surface, they’re still using Big Tech’s pipes. Freespoke isn’t that. We’re not a reskinned Google experience, and we’re not “lipstick on the pig.” We built our own web crawler, our own web index, and offer a full privacy promise that keeps your searches your own. No borrowing from Google. No dependency on their data. No backdoor ties.
– We have real respect for where Google started. In the early days, they understood a simple truth: a search engine monetized by ads will eventually privilege advertisers over consumers. Their founders said it outright. And then, as the business changed, they crossed that line — a kind of dark night of the soul — and the incentives shifted. The user became the product.
– That’s why Freespoke exists. We knew the world needed a truly independent search engine — one that doesn’t lean on Google’s crawler, Google’s index, or Google’s surveillance model. A search engine that gives people transparent results, not algorithmic nudges. A search engine that actually keeps its promises.
– Freespoke is built from the ground up to serve one audience: you.
– You can use it here for free: https://freespoke.com/
– {I am still testing it out. I am very pleased with the results so far. So much so that I’ve even made it the default search engine in my browser. -Ed.}
SPACE
Massive High-Velocity Coronal Mass Ejection Blasts From Sun, Earth Impact Possible In Days:
– The Space Weather Prediction Center issued an alert Sunday afternoon after a powerful X1.9 solar flare erupted on the Sun, with the space weather event expected to produce an Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME). Stefan Burns, a geophysicist and space weather forecaster, wrote on X that the X1.9 flare is “insane” and will produce a “huge coronal mass ejection.”
– “A huge coronal mass ejection has been launched toward Earth at high velocity. We will have a BIG solar storm impact in 2 to 3 days. Expect at least G3 geomagnetic storming. Early forecasts are liable to revision as more data comes in,” Burns said.
– The X-class flare can disrupt radio and navigation immediately. The larger risk comes from the expected CME in the coming days, which can trigger geomagnetic storms that affect power grids, satellites, aviation, and the modern economy built on chips and data centers.
