Carnaval Velez-Malaga 2026: 5-8 Feb
– After the presentation of the advertising poster, by Rafael Jurado, the Teatro del Carmen will host the proclamation on Thursday, February 5 at 9:00 p.m., by Darío Quintana.
– On Friday 6, it will be the turn for the traditional Contest of Groups and Murgas, from 9:30 p.m.
– On Saturday we will tour the city in parades, departing at 5:00 p.m. from the Cruz del Cordero. Registration, at 4:00 p.m. at the same location. 5,400 euros in prizes will be awarded among all categories.
– The finale will be “Carnival Sunday”, with a performance by local groups and the usual popular paella, with a symbolic cost of 2 euros and whose proceeds will go to ANNE Axarquía, at the San Francisco market from 1:00 p.m.

UK to create new ‘British FBI’ police service:

Massive breach exposes 149 million Instagram, Gmail, OnlyFans passwords:
– Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler exposed a staggering 149,404,754 unique logins and passwords—spanning 96 GB of unencrypted data—left openly accessible in a cloud repository. The breach stemmed from infostealer malware harvesting credentials from infected devices. The database grew during a month-long delay before the hosting provider suspended it, despite Fowler’s prompt report; the operator’s identity and intent remain unknown.

Spanish Prosecutor’s Office closes the sexual assaults case against Julio Iglesias for the “lack of competence” of the National Court: {Translation, summary}
