DOCTORLAPTOP’S COMPUTER REPAIRS & SALES
DoctorLaptop’s Full Maintenance Clean & TuneUp: Only €65
If you rely on your computer and want it running at peak performance, free of data collectors and trackers, an annual professional servicing is necessary. You wouldn’t drive your car till it runs out of oil before servicing it, would you? I do the most comprehensive cleaning and tune-up possible: verify all System files replacing any found to be corrupt, test all hardware and do hard disk sector repairs if needed, use 5 tool malware/adware/spyware/tracker removal protocol, clean out junk files/logs/history/etc., update Windows+all drivers+programs and finally optimize your settings and registry for fastest overall performance.
Heavily infected comps, computers taking more than 2 minutes to startup or shutdown, or showing error messages– those need a repair, not a maintenance service, ask for rates. HDD hard disks of 1000Gb or more add €10.

SPAIN
Endesa attributes the blackout to the poor design of the system’s planning by Red Eléctrica, costing the public €1billion+: {Translation, summary}
– Endesa’s CEO, José Bogas {pic}, told the Senate inquiry that Red Eléctrica programmed Spain’s power system with too little conventional synchronous generation, creating risks that could have caused the nationwide blackout of 28 April. He argued that the operator relied heavily on intermittent renewables without sufficient tools for dynamic voltage control, and failed to adjust the schedule to ensure system security. Bogas rejected Red Eléctrica’s version, which blames irregular disconnections at twelve plants and company decisions on generation offers, stressing that the operator always has the final say on which units run.
– He insisted Endesa’s plants complied with regulations and did not disconnect improperly. Since the blackout, a reinforced operation has doubled ancillary service costs to an estimated 1,100 million euros, ultimately borne by consumers. Bogas still described Spain’s energy and climate plan as good and ambitious, but outdated in light of new challenges. The police report that many immigrants “with criminal records” claim to have lost their passports in order to gain access to new residency program: {Translation, summary}
– Spain’s National Police has detected a sharp rise in lost passport reports, especially among irregular immigrants from Pakistan (up 866%), Algeria (356%), Morocco (114%), and Colombia (35%). Many of these complaints are allegedly false and used to prove residence in Spain before 31 December 2025, making applicants eligible for the Government’s mass regularisation plan.
– Police have found that some claimants had criminal histories or used false identities. Authorities now urge strict identity checks for undocumented foreigners submitting such reports. Meanwhile, police unions and the Civil Guard criticise the decree for allowing applicants to replace official criminal record certificates with self-signed declarations if their home countries do not respond within a month. They warn this loophole could enable people with serious criminal pasts to be legalised without adequate background checks. Spain asks for new EU handouts– Brussels to activate the agricultural reserve fund to compensate the countryside for the storms: {Translation, summary}
– {Interesting how Spain won’t pay their share of EU defence funds, has spent only 68% of the EU Covid Recovery funds it ‘urgently’ begged for, and is planning on flooding the EU with quasi-leagal immigrants, yet expects generous EU financial support for disaster damages. See following article where Sanchez is NOT invited to join the other 19 major EU country leaders in a critical conclave Thursday morning. -Ed.}
– Spain’s Agriculture Minister Luis Planas has requested activation of the EU’s 450 million euro annual crisis agricultural fund to aid farmers hit by recent storms in Andalusia. He began a three-day tour of damaged areas in Huelva, Cadiz, Seville and Cordoba to assess destruction, consult locals and plan aid. Spain, a top beneficiary, received 68 million euros in 2025 for floods and drought, and 81 million in 2023 for drought.
– Access to many farms remains limited amid forecasts of more rain, but evaluations will soon go to Brussels, aided by Commissioner Christophe Hansen’s visit. Huelva reports 2,400 hectares affected across 5,200 plots, threatening its 96% share of national berry production. The government has declared emergency zones and prepares compensation alongside regional and local authorities. Pariah Sánchez Snubbed at EU Pre-Summit by Berlin-Rome Axis: {Translation, summary}
– Pedro Sánchez {pic} was excluded from a coordination meeting organised by Germany, Italy, and Belgium ahead of the EU leaders’ informal competitiveness summit at Alden Biesen Castle in Belgium. Promoted by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni {pic}, and Belgian PM Bart de Wever, the gathering drew 19 leaders including Emmanuel Macron and Ursula von der Leyen, but snubbed Spain.
– Spanish officials view such side events as undermining EU principles and hindering solutions. Despite prior complaints of not being invited being conveyed to Italy via unspecified channels, Sánchez raised no objection during a later personal chat with Meloni on the summit’s margins. Italian sources confirmed the brief exchange stayed cordial, sidestepping the invitation slight. Moncloa described inter-state communications as routine, though tensions linger over the perceived side-lining of Spain. PSOE Routed- Five Crushing Defeats in Congress Opener: {Translation, summary}
– The PSOE (centre/far left) suffered five key defeats in Spain’s Congress first ordinary plenary of 2026. First, a PP (right) bill mandating parliamentary votes on military spending credits advanced despite PSOE opposition, aided by PNV, Junts, and BNG abstentions. Second, the chamber approved censuring Transport Minister Óscar Puente over deadly rail crashes in Adamuz and Gélida, killing 47. Third, PSOE’s motion condemning Donald Trump’s unilateralism failed. Fourth and fifth, two points of an ERC self-employed workers motion passed with PP and Sumar support. These losses highlight PSOE’s fragility, with opposition splitting votes to exploit divisions; Junts’ non-opposition proved pivotal. Far from the 2024 record of 23 defeats in one day, they still add to broader PSOE woes including five other decree-laws and two bills overturned this term. Feijóo calls for safety checks on all dams in Spain: “We can’t have a repeat of the blackout or the train disasters”: {Translation, summary}
– Feijóo {pic}, president of the PP, urged a nationwide safety review of Spain’s dams after recent heavy rains, particularly in Andalusia, warning against repeats of the blackout or Adamuz rail disaster. Visiting flooded Jerez de la Frontera with Andalusian leaders, he noted Spain leads the EU with about 2,400 dams (1,000 large), needing urgent checks on maintenance, drainage, and gates amid record water levels and infrastructure stress. He called for a national water plan to tackle droughts and floods, including dam upkeep for safe living near reservoirs, arguing better coordination would ease management. ANDALUCÍA
Andalusia demands an additional €3.253 billion per year to match Catalonia’s per person funding: {Translation, summary}
– Andalusia’s Finance Councillor Carolina Espana {pic} criticised the new regional financing model proposed by Maria Jesus Montero, demanding 3,253 million euros more to match Catalonia’s per capita funding, dubbing it “Montero-Junqueras”. Citing Fedea {Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada, a leading Spanish think tank}, she highlighted Andalusia’s ongoing deficit of 1,528 million and 183 euros below average per inhabitant, projecting only a modest gain leaving it 3.8 points under the 100 average. Espana accused the model of favouring Catalan separatism via climate and SME funds, offset by unreliable Interterritorial Compensation, and invading fiscal autonomy with hidden tax hikes.
– She vowed not to accept Andalusians valued less than others. Opposition varied: PSOE-A’s Alicia Murillo noted the proposed 4,846 million gain plus 960 million FCI exceeds prior Junta demands; PP-A’s Ascension Hita decried Montero’s “deceptions”; Vox’s Cristina Jimenez called it socialist payoffs to separatists; Adelante Andalucia’s Jose Ignacio Garcia deemed it insufficient and ordinality unjust. VÉLEZ-MÁLAGA
Vélez-Málaga offers 2,500 places in occupational workshops for Seniors: {Translation, summary}

The programme follows last year’s model and is presented as a strategic policy to promote healthy habits, lifelong learning and social participation among older people, with activities chosen through more than 1,500 user surveys. In parallel, the council has opened registration for a new edition of the Seniors’ Classroom, run with the University of Málaga since 2007, which this year focuses particularly on women’s role in history, art, science and society. TORRE DEL MAR
Torre del Mar celebrates its Tapa Route with 28 participants: {Translation, summary}
– Twenty-eight participating establishments, an estimated consumption of 40,000 tapas, and an estimated economic impact of over €300,000. These are the optimistic figures surrounding the Torre del Mar Tapas Route, which will celebrate its 14th edition from February 27 to March 22.

In addition, there is the option of having the tapa with a special Victoria 10 beer for an extra €0.50.

– Gastronomy will take centre stage in Rincón de la Victoria from February 20 to March 1, as the fifth edition of the Ruta de la Cuchara (Spoon Route) is celebrated, with 27 restaurants participating this year.
– The establishments will offer a spoon dish or stew accompanied by a drink (beer, soft drink, or water) at a single price of €4. – The organization will award three prizes for the best dishes, with €1,000 for first place, €700 for second place, and €500 for third place, in addition to a trophy. There will also be a special audience award worth €500.
– The public who participate will be able to vote for their favourite restaurant and enter a draw for five prizes of €200 each, which will be awarded in the form of a checkbook to be spent at the participating establishments, so that all the prizes have a direct impact on the local hospitality industry. The winning dishes and establishments will be announced at a public event, which will also include the draw for the five checkbooks.

– ‘Hanna Fubuki Sushi Bar’, hailed as one of Malaga’s top sushi spots, operates uniquely from a caravan and tent beside the Shell petrol station pumps in Alhaurin de la Torre. Drivers often stop from curiosity but return for fresh, flavourful dishes praised as the province’s finest, with low prices drawing crowds. Another Dead Patient & Another Massive Malpractice Award The Public Will Pay- Medical resident in training makes huge blunder resulting in death of baby- hospital outrageously denies responsibility as they always do, judge disagrees: {Translation, summary}
– The High Court of Justice of Murcia has condemned the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital for flagrant medical negligence that caused the death of a ten month old baby. Despite clear signs of scarlet fever and explicit warnings from the parents that the child’s sister was infected, the resident doctor on duty failed to perform a simple diagnostic test, ignored the risk of contagion, and discharged the baby without antibiotic treatment. Within 24 hours, the infection developed into toxic shock and proved fatal. {This ‘resident student doctor in training’ should be banned from medical practice. If there is no punishment to this trainee, others will continue to do the same. -Ed}
– The court’s judgment exposes glaring failures in clinical protocol and supervision. It underlined that even basic medical judgement should have recognised the obvious threat, without the need for a written guideline. The judges ruled that the hospital’s refusal to assume responsibility and its attempt to blame the parents was unacceptable. The staff’s decision to send the child home without consulting senior doctors reflects a deep institutional negligence and a lack of safety culture within the regional health service.
– By awarding 210,000 euros in damages, the court acknowledged not only the fatal error of an inexperienced practitioner but also the wider failure of the hospital system to ensure qualified oversight and patient protection.
– {I have repeatedly warned readers about resident doctors and students, not identifying them selves as such but masquerading as full MDs, making major medical errors. It has happened to me several times over the years until I figured it out. Always demand to see a “doctor’s” ID badge before letting them attend to you (see following article). If the ID says student or resident, demand to be treated by a “real” doctor, or at least that a real MD actively supervise your treatment by the trainee. If they refuse, demand to see the hospital Ombudsman immediately and file a complaint. If they say the Ombudsman is unavailable, immediately call your lawyer and have them establish the complaint, to ensure proper documentation, as you have a potentially winning lawsuit, but everything must be documented. While other hospital administrators will claim the “small print” permits the use of trainees– you are not their “training subject” and have no obligation to be treated as such! In fact, I strongly recommend a new law requiring all trainees in any profession must clearly identify themselves as such before initiation any work. -Ed.} Source, Spanish: https://www.diariosur.es/sociedad/salud/indemnizan-220000-euros-padres-bebe-muerto-tras-20260212123256-ntrc_amp.html

Papers Please! The Malaga College of Nursing warns of an increase in forgeries to certify fictitious nursing status: {Translation, summary}
– The Official College of Nursing of Malaga has expressed its concern over the rise in cases of forged documents attesting to the status of nurse, “a situation that poses a grave risk to patient safety, care quality, and trust in the healthcare system”. This has been reinforced by recent arrest regarding a local nurse working without the required qualification or compulsory registration.
– Faced with this scenario, the College has sent a letter to both public and private institutions to voice its concern and remind them of the legal obligations governing professional practice. “Nursing is a regulated, titled, and registered healthcare profession, meaning only those holding the official qualification and properly registered may practise it “, the College has emphasised.
– In this regard, it reminds employers, both public and private, of their duty to rigorously verify the authenticity of documentation submitted by healthcare professionals prior to procedures or hiring.
– Moreover, the institution has insisted that this verification must not be confined to the initial hiring stage but conducted periodically. “It is the employer’s obligation to check registration at least every three years, as a control mechanism and guarantee that the professional continues to meet all legal requirements”, it stated. It also stressed that registration is not a mere administrative formality but an essential safeguard for the public, as “it certifies that the registrant holds the enabling official qualification, has professional liability insurance, is not barred from practice, and adheres to the Code of Ethics and Deontology governing nursing”.
– To prevent professional intrusion and document forgery, the Official College of Nursing of Malaga issues official certificates, enabling secure confirmation of professional standing. It also provides employers and the public with a public register of registered professionals, accessible via its website for simple and transparent checks; you may want to bookmark this site as it was hard to find [ https://colenfermalaga.com/ventanilla-unica/censo-de-colegiados ]. Likewise, it has a dedicated section for reporting suspected intrusion cases, allowing anyone to flag irregularities or concerns.
