SPAIN
The butane cylinder falls to its lowest price in almost two years: {Translation, summary}
– The maximum retail price of the butane cylinder will drop this Tuesday by 4.9%, to 15.96 euros, its lowest amount since July 2021, according to the bimonthly review published this Monday in the Official Gazette of State (BOE). During the almost two last months the cost was at 16.79 euros, according to the calculations provided by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
– This reduction is mainly due to the sharp fall in the price of raw materials (25.8%) and, to a lesser extent, to the appreciation of the euro against the dollar (0.9%), cushioned by the existing surplus, which increases from 0.97 euros per bottle to 1.76 euros. Spain to guarantee insurance rights for cancer survivors:
– Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has announced that Spain will guarantee insurance rights for people who have survived cancer.
The move was declared on Saturday, May 13th in Seville during a meeting with several cancer associations, and will (supposedly) come into force in June.
– (If Parliament does in fact pass such a law, of which there is no guaranty)…this will mean that those who have suffered from cancer at one point or another throughout their lives will not have to justify their health history in order to be able to take out life insurance, request a loan or even to secure a mortgage to buy a home. The Spanish government will reform the law to “declare null and void all the clauses based on oncological history that exclude or discriminate when contracting products or services”.
– This new right will benefit all people who have completed cancer treatment five years before the date of signing the contract, without a subsequent relapse.
– Spain, Iceland and Malta are the only countries in the European Union that do not guarantee cancer rights, but the deadline given by the EU to its member countries will be in 2025, as established in a February 2022 resolution of the European Parliament. Full article:

HEALTH
Outrage Over WHO Guidance on “Sexuality for Infants”:
– The World Health Organisation (WHO) is under pressure to withdraw guidance for schools recommending that toddlers “ask questions about sexuality”, “explore gender identities” and learn about “enjoyment” of “early childhood masturbation”. The Telegraph has the story behind a paywall. (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/05/13/outrage-over-who-advice-on-sexuality-for-infants/). Here it is from another source.
– The guidance says that “sexuality education starts from birth” and is described as a “framework for policy makers, educational and health authorities and specialists”.
– Its advice on how to “talk about sexual matters” with young children was aimed at policymakers across Europe, and was translated into several European languages and promoted at national and international events, according to the WHO.
– The document was also cited in a report consulted by Welsh ministers who last year rolled out a mandatory sexual education syllabus to schools in Wales, and has led to a backlash from the Government, MPs and activists.
– The advice proposes that four-to-six year-olds should be taught to “talk about sexual matters” and “consolidate their gender identity”. It recommends that children under the age of four should be told they have “the right to ask questions about sexuality” and “the right to explore gender identities”.
– The WHO guidance also says that children aged four and under should be taught about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body, early childhood masturbation”.
– These topics are described as the “minimal standards that need to be covered by sexuality education”. Full article: https://www.globalresearch.ca/outrage-over-who-guidance-sexuality-infants/5819262
PRODUCT ALERT
Imark Mouthwash Warning & Recall: {Translation}
– These mouthwashes are mainly distributed in the hospital channel, but their presence outside this channel cannot be ruled out, according to the AEMPS, so it is communicated that the use of all mouthwashes of the Imark brand in all its formats should be discontinued, both to health centres and professionals as well as to the users of these products.
– The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) activated the procedure to stop the marketing and use of batch 0100320123 of the cosmetic product ‘Chlorhexidine Mouthwash + Xylitol’ by Imark in Single-dose Format.
– The recall of this product was due to the possible contamination of the batch with the bacterium Burkholderia cepacia, which may pose a risk to people with health problems or weakened immune systems.
– The Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs explained in a statement that “the manufacturer of the product, Imark-Hospital, has been ordered to take precautionary measures to cease the manufacture, marketing and use of the products, as well as the withdrawal from the market of all units of all Imark brand mouthwashes”. Tennis News- Carlos Alcaraz Shock Loss To World No. 135 Fabian Marozsan In Seismic Upset At Italian Open: Fabian Marozsan {pic} produced the best performance of his career so far to knock Carlos Alcaraz out of the Italian Open 6-3 7-6(4). The 23-year-old Hungarian produced an almost flawless display to knock out the Spaniard, who is considered one of the main contenders to win the French Open later this month. DoctorLaptop’s Tips #102
Windows 11 is showing a false security alert for many users after a recent update:
– If you have a yellow warning symbol showing on your Windows Security icon in your taskbar (bottom right of screen), this indicates a problem that needs your attention.
– Click it, Windows Security will open. Look for a yellow or red triangle, that will indicate the section with the problem.
– Click that triangle. If you now find yourself in the “Device Security” section, you probably have this false security alert. Look again for the colored triangle, this time it will be very small and yellow. It will appear next to the “Core Isolation” heading near the top. Just below, you will see a clickable link “Core Isolation Details”.
– Click that. This will open the “Core Isolation” section. The first item on that page is called “Memory Integrity”.
If this function is set to OFF, then that is the problem; if all were well this would already be ON. You can try to turn it on, but it most likely won’t allow that. You will get a message about “incompatible drivers”. You can ignore that, it is part of the false alert. This is only a minor security risk for most users, and there is no fix. Microsoft is aware of the problem, and promises to release an update with a fix asap. (Reference: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-will-not-show-incompatible-drivers/b059f22e-95b7-410f-a922-59313ff75c6a)
Windows 11 Info & Bugs:
– I have been using Win 11 for the past 6 months. I like it, and it was an easy transition from Win 10. In practice it is not much different than Win 10, other than that the SETTINGS SECTION has been re-organized. For me, it is as fast, or faster, than Win 10. Computers with only 4Gb of RAM are better off sticking to Win 10 for now.
– The DELETE option has been removed from many menus, and has been replaced by a TRASH basket symbol. Highlighting an item in your File Manager, and then clicking the TRASH basket will move the item to your Recycle Bin.
– They have done the same with the Copy/Paste options as well as the Rename option in many menus. These have been replaced by Copy and Paste and Rename symbols (without the labels I added), see pic.
– Occasionally you will try to close a window, and find there is no button in the upper right of the page to close it with! This is another known bug waiting to be patched. The workaround for now is to place your pointer at the bottom of the screen (exposing the task bar if you keep it hidden). On the taskbar, locate the icon for the program or window you want to close. Hover your pointer over it (do not click it). A small window will pop up with an image of the window you want closed. Slowly bring the pointer to the upper right corner of the small popup window and click the X. That will close the window with the missing close button. It’s easy once you do it a few times.
RECIPES
Cherry Gazpacho, the most refreshing springtime recipe: {Translation}
– With the arrival of May, we enter the season of refreshing foods with intense flavours. One of these is the cherry, a fruit that is consumed for just two months, but which is a real treasure in our kitchens. With its characteristic sweetness, it brings unique flavours to our dishes, totally reconverting them. This is the case of the traditional cherry gazpacho, a dish that combines the traditional flavour of Andalusian gazpacho, but with that special touch given by the fruit.
– The flavour of this recipe will surprise you and will move you towards variations of this fruit, as it is equally versatile in both savoury and sweet dishes. This makes it the perfect starter to surprise your most demanding guests, who will be left with a very good taste in their mouths. It also has a large number of health benefits, as it has important antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that make it an almost therapeutic and medicinal food.
Cherry Gazpacho
Ingredients:
700 g tomatoes / 300 g pitted cherries /
100 g red pepper / 60 g green pepper /
1 clove of garlic / 80 g cucumber /
40 g breadcrumbs / 150 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil /
250 ml water, Salt, Vinegar, Cumin to taste
Preparation
– Start by pitting the cherries and chopping all the ingredients. Add the breadcrumbs.
– Mix all the ingredients with half the oil, a pinch of salt, vinegar and cumin to taste.
– Once the mixture is ready, leave to rest for 24 hours (this step is optional, but highly recommended).
– After this time, put all the ingredients in a blender and blend them well. When it is liquid, add the remaining oil while continuing to blend.
– Finally, strain the mixture and serve the gazpacho well chilled. You can decorate it with chopped cherries or croutons.

Ancient tablet found on Mount Ebal predates known Hebrew inscriptions:
– An early Hebrew inscription from Mount Ebal near Nablus that was found on a folded lead tablet during an excavation in the 1980s recently underwent x-ray tomographic measurements to reveal hidden text.
– Epigraphic analysis of the data revealed a formulaic curse written in a proto-alphabetic script likely dating to Late Bronze Age that predates any previously known Hebrew inscription in Israel by at least 200 years.
– The finding has just been published in the journal Heritage Science by Prof. Gershon Galil, a researcher at in Jewish history and biblical studies at the University of Haifa, and his team.
– Galil said he believes that all 48 letters are clear on the scans and that the inscription dates to the end of the 13th century BCE, but the other authors believe it could be older.
– The inscription was: “You are cursed by the God YHW.” Full article: https://www.jpost.com/archaeology/article-743039
