Submissions for posting in sections below
must include this info or they will be returned !!!
Sender's First Name / Nearest Town
Note: You may additionally include a location to meet or pickup,
but your location is required in any case. If selling an item from a location different from where you reside, you must include both.
For example: "...Buyer collects in Nerja, John/Malaga"
Why? DigameXtra covers a large area. So, for example, readers in Motril are unlikely to make recommendations, or call about most for-sale items, if they know you are located in Coin. As for including both locations in for-sale posts, the buyer needs to know where to collect the item, but they will also want to know where you are from in case there is a problem. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Publishers Struggle- 15% of publishers in Spain are at risk of default, according to the Insight View auditor:
– 15% of publishers in Spain are at high or maximum levels of default risk, compared to 72% that have low or minimum values, according to Insight View data collected by the Iberinform auditor.
– In any case, Insight View data shows that the sector has managed to sustain “other important ratios”, such as solvency (1.8), liquidity (1.6) and treasury (1.3), although it points to that the “worst financial performance” is recorded among publishers founded in the last decade.
– Thus, the high risk of non-payment affects 19% of publishers in this segment. Among those firms between 10 and 25 years old, this ratio drops to 12% and rises again slightly, to 14%, among those with more than 25 years of service. A controlled forest fire declared in Canillas de Albaida: {Translation}
– The device for the prevention and extinction of forest fires in Andalusia (Infoca Plan) has declared the forest fire declared this Saturday under control in the Los Alamillos area in Canillas de Albaida and where aerial and terrestrial means have been necessary, according to Malaga Hoy.
– The Infoca troops are working this Sunday in the work of auctioning and liquidation and during the day on Saturday it was necessary to evacuate three houses that were just one kilometre from the village.
– The mayor of Canillas de Albaida, Jorge Martín, explained that the fire could have broken out in two different areas, in the area around the Limón stream, so he does not rule out the possibility that it was intentional and pointed out that in the last two months there have been four fires between the municipalities of Canillas and Cómpeta.
– The councillor regretted that the flames entered the natural park of the Sierras Tejada, Almijara and Alhama, in the Mosquín area. The extinguishing work involved 71 forest firefighters, two operations technicians, an environmental agent and four fire engines, as well as three helicopters, one light, one medium-heavy, one Kamov, two cargo planes on the ground, one for coordination and a Foca seaplane.
These teams were joined by members of the Malaga Provincial Fire Brigade Consortium with teams from the Vélez-Málaga, Colmenar and Periana bases. Source & Photo, Spanish: https://www.axarquiaplus.es/controlado-el-incendio-forestal-declarado-en-canillas-de-albaida/

The Los Guájares fire has already burnt 3,000 hectares.: {Translation, summary} 11/09/2022 09:09
– The Andalusian Forest Fire Fighting Service (Plan Infoca) continues to work to stabilise the forest fire declared last Thursday in an area of Guájar Alto, in the municipality of Los Guájares, which has already reached 3,000 hectares and some 37 kilometres of perimeter. A total of 200 ground troops are currently deployed, as well as 18 aerial resources.
– Infoca has explained through a publication on its Twitter account that four heavy helicopters, five light helicopters and one control and command helicopter are working in the air to stabilise the fire.
– In addition, three cargo planes on the ground, two light seaplanes, two heavy planes and an observation and image transmission aircraft (ACO) are fighting the flames.
– They are joined on the ground by eight fire engines, a mobile meteorology and transmission unit (UMMT), a regional command group (Gremaf), two advanced fire analysis and monitoring units (Unasif), and a forest fire medical unit (Umif).

King Charles proclaimed monarch, queen’s funeral on Sept. 19:
– The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, royal officials said on Saturday.
– Elizabeth’s oak coffin, covered with the royal standard of Scotland and with a wreath of flowers on top, has been lying in the ballroom of Balmoral Castle, her summer home in Scotland where she died peacefully on Thursday.
– On Sunday (yesterday), it will be driven by hearse through remote highland villages to Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, during a six-hour journey that will allow people to pay their respects.
– The coffin will then be flown to London on Tuesday where it will remain at Buckingham Palace before being taken to Westminster Hall to lie in state until the funeral at Westminster Abbey at 11 a.m (1000 GMT) on Sept. 19.
– Britain has declared a period of mourning until the state funeral for Elizabeth, which will be a public holiday. Leaders from around the world are expected to attend, including U.S. President Joe Biden, who said he would be there.
– Charles’ coronation will take place at a later date – and the timing for that is not yet clear. There was a 16-month gap between Elizabeth becoming queen and her coronation in 1953. Full article: https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/king-charles-be-proclaimed-monarch-historic-ceremony-2022-09-10/

What is the Royal Standard flag? Why it’s draped over the Queen’s coffin today instead of the Union Flag:
– The monarch has two Royal Standards, one specifically for residence in Scotland and then one which is used wherever else they are outside of the UK.
– Generally, the Royal Standard is flown when the monarch is in residence at one of the royal palaces or in their car, ship, train or aeroplane. However, when in Scotland the Scottish version is brought into use.
– Graham Bartram, the UK’s chief vexillologist, said: “The Queen is in a different heraldic realm.” “When in Scotland, she has a different coat of arms and a different Royal Standard.” Vexillology is the study of the history, symbolism and usage of flags.
– Unlike the Royal Standard used in the rest of the UK, Northern Ireland, the Crown Dependencies and other British Overseas Territories, the Scottish version has two yellow quarters with the red Lion Rampant known as the Royal Banner of Scotland.
– The Queen’s coffin is expected to remain overnight at the Palace of Holyroodhouse before being taken in procession to St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh where it will lie in rest until Tuesday. It will then be flown to RAF Northolt, accompanied by the Princess Royal.
– Mr Bartram said: “I suspect what will happen is that as she is being flown from Edinburgh to RAF Northolt there will be an opportunity on the plane for them to discreetly swap to the Royal Standard (used in England).” The Scottish Government has confirmed this will be the case, explaining it would be changed during the flight.
– Why not use the Union Flag? Previous high-profile funerals have seen the coffins of public figures, such as former prime minister Margaret Thatcher, draped in the Union Flag but this will not be the case for the Queen. “Anybody can have the Union Flag on their coffin but only the Queen can have the Royal Standard”, said Mr Bartram. “The Royal Standard is senior to the Union Flag.” Full article: https://inews.co.uk/news/royal-standard-flag-what-draped-queen-coffin-instead-union-explained-1848928

Queen Elizabeth II’s Bees Have Been Informed of Her Death:
– The hives of bees that reside within the gardens of Buckingham Palace have been informed of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
– In keeping with one of the stranger traditions connected to the British royal family, the palace’s official beekeeper broke the news of Her Majesty’s death at the age of 96 to the roughly 30,000 bees currently on the grounds, with the royal beekeeper also tying black ribbons around the hives in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
– John Chapple, who has been the royal beekeeper for 15 years, told the Daily Mail Friday that he was also tasked with informing the bees that King Charles III is their “new master” and that they should “treat him well.”

EUROPE
Non-EU family members of EU citizens can obtain long-term residence, court rules:
– The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that non-EU citizens who have residence rights in an EU country as family members of an EU national can acquire EU long-term residence.
– EU long-term residence is a legal status that non-EU citizens can obtain if they have lived continuously in an EU country for at least five years, have not been away for more than 6 consecutive months and 10 months over the entire period (although the rules are different for Britons covered by the Withdrawal Agreement), and can prove to have “stable and regular economic resources” and health insurance. Applicants can also be required to meet “integration conditions”, such as knowing the language. La Vuelta- Molano wins in Madrid and Evenepoel celebrates La Vuelta:
– The Colombian cyclist Sebastián Molano (UAE Team Emirates) has won the last stage of La Vuelta a España, which has covered 96.7 kilometers between Las Rozas and Madrid with a circuit at the end, with the Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Setp Alpha Vinyl) celebrating the title and on a day also marked by a tribute to Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team), who ran his last Spanish round.
– After starting this 21st stage some 20 minutes late, Molano did a good job for his team in the last sprint to reach the finish line, after overtaking Julius Johansen (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert) and Lucas Plapp (Ineos Grenadiers).
– Remco Evenepoel, who has worn the leader’s jersey for 15 days, was able to celebrate his La Vuelta title in Madrid, becoming the youngest winner of La Vuelta since Angelino Soler in 1961 and the fourth youngest winner in the history of the round Spanish, 22 years, 7 months and 17 days. In addition, with this victory he manages to win the Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Clásica de San Sebastián and La Vuelta in the same year, the first to do so.
– The podium of the general classification was completed by two Spaniards, Enric Mas (Movistar Team) and Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates), the latter being the second youngest rider to stand on the podium of a major, and the youngest after 118 years and Henri Cornet’s victory in the 1904 Tour de France. F1 News- Verstappen wins Italian GP for 1st time to close in on title:
– Verstappen now has a 116-point lead over Charles Leclerc, who finished second after another questionable strategy decision from Ferrari on its home track. With just six races remaining, the Dutch driver could clinch the title in Singapore next month.
– Verstappen started seventh after he was among a number of drivers hit by grid penalties but made his way up to third by the first corner of the second lap. The Red Bull driver then picked off George Russell in a Mercedes at the start of Lap 5 setting up the hunt for polesitter Leclerc in his Ferrari.
– Russell was third, ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr. and Lewis Hamilton, who had both fought through the field after starting at the back of the grid following penalties.
– Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate Sergio Pérez had also been hit by grid penalties and had started 13th but, despite an eventful race that also featured a brake fire, he managed to finish sixth and also pick up the extra point for fastest lap.
– Lando Norris was seventh, after a poor start from third, with Pierre Gasly just behind him. Photo: AP Photo/Ciro De Luca, Pool via AP. Full article: https://apnews.com/article/sports-auto-racing-formula-one-max-verstappen-f68886c3c7104af23e6fc25defc67c81
