Parauta, a lovely white village in the Serrania de Ronda, offers free samples of the classic rice with rabbit & entertainment.
– 11:30 Proyecto Mandarina
– 12:00 the village verdiales band will start up, filling the streets with music, prior to the tasting of rice with rabbit from the countryside which is set for 14:00. Half an hour later, DJ Toulalán will provide music for lunch.
– 15:00 The activities continue after the tasting with the Malaga monologuist El Morta.
– 16:00, the little ones can enjoy Petit Teatro and their show Con Mucho Clow.
– DJ Toulalan’s set returns at 17:30 to liven up the afternoon with music until the performance of El Callejón, a flamenco atmosphere prior to the singing of Manuel Cortés, son of Chiquetete. Antidoto and Metrópolis close one of Parauta’s big days.

Malaga is prepared for the Day of the Flamenco:

– The province of Malaga will celebrate International Flamenco Day (16 November) with more than 20 activities spread throughout the territory, with the aim of bringing flamenco to different stages, from classrooms in schools to flamenco clubs.
– The programme will visit the municipalities of Ronda, Málaga, Torrox, Vélez-Málaga, Mijas, Rincón de la Victoria, Alhaurín de la Torre, Cártama, Álora, Casabermeja, Humilladero, Guaro, Riogordo and Almáchar (check town hall websites or FB pages for details).
– This is including the ‘Llamada al Flamenco’, an initiative open to the public in which, at sunset, different artists will perform flamenco songs from significant places in Andalusia. “In this way we want to unite two fundamental heritages in Andalusian culture: the artistic, through flamenco, and the monumental, which embodies the centuries-old history of our community. Two significant elements recognised for their value and richness”.
– In the province of Malaga this ‘Call to flamenco’ will take place in the Tajo de Ronda, which will be the stage where the cantaora Rocío Bazán will perform at 18.08 hours.
– In addition to this initiative, there is a programme with 23 activities scheduled from the beginning of November, including five didactic performances of Flamenco Viene del Sur at the Teatro Cánovas. There will also be 12 performances scheduled as part of the Circuito Andaluz de Peñas and two as part of Flamenco Viene del Sur en Gira, as well as a flashmob and a performance organised by the Ayuntamiento de Ronda. Spain Wants to Permit British Tourists to Stay Longer than 90 Days in 6 Months:
– Spain’s Secretary of State for the Ministry of Tourism and Industry, Fernando Valdés, wants to scrap the rule that limits British tourists, as well as tourists from other countries, from staying in Spain for only 90 days in any 180-days period, in a bid to further boost the tourism sector in this country.
– In an interview for iNews, Secretary Valdés said that Spain would like to end the rule that permits non-EU travellers from visa-free countries to stay in the Schengen area for only 90 days within any six months, in order to enable travellers, including British holidaymakers, to stay in Spain indefinitely, when visiting for tourism purposes.

The Decline of Fakebook- Facebook owner Meta to cut 11,000 staff, 13% of workforce:

– A woman has filed a lawsuit against Warren Beatty, alleging that the actor coerced her into sex in 1973 when he was 35 and she was 14 and 15.
– The suit, filed on Monday in Los Angeles superior court by Kristina Hirsch, does not list Beatty, now 85, by name but clearly references him. Disturbing Trend- Swastikas, Nazi salutes and Hitler tattoos were all the rage at the event where Mexican and Spanish bands performed ‘hard and nationalist’ music: El Imperio Contraataca (The Empire Strikes Back), a clandestine concert featuring five bands – two from Spain, three from Mexico – brought together more than 300 people where hate slogans were chanted and Nazism was glorified. Although it was not the first time that far-right groups have organized an event like this in Mexico, it was probably the one with the highest attendance so far.
