Christmas Dinner: I know this question has been asked on numerous occasions in the past, but me and my lovely wife are heading to Torrox for Christmas and could do with some guidance for Christmas dinner.
We are aware of The Balcon which in past years has been an excellent evening, but as yet they haven’t confirmed if they will pick you up and drop you off, which is something that was always included in prior years.
Any of the Fincas or bar restaurants around Torrox would be good.

Spain Starts to Automatically Update EU Digital COVID Certificate Set to Expire Before Jun.30, 2023:
– The Ministry of Health has recently started the process of automatic updating of the EU Digital COVID Certificates (CCD-UE) that were issued at the time by the Ministry itself and which will expire before June 30, 2023,” the statement of the Spanish government reads.

Andalucía to introduce new dual-chip ‘contactless’ health cards:
– The Junta de Andalucía has announced that it is to issue new health cards with a dual chip which will enable patients to use them in a ‘contactless’ manner, in a similar way to bank cards. Their health service number and identification data are printed on the magnetic band on the card and are also contained in the chip. The cards are needed to obtain prescriptions from pharmacies and for health service staff to access medical details. It has assigned 2.35 million euros to renew as many existing cards as possible. Torrox prepares for its big day this Sunday with migas as the main attraction: {Translation}
– Christmas choirs, regional dances, musical performances and, above all, migas, to celebrate this Sunday the gastronomic festival par excellence of Christmas, the big day of Torrox, which in its 41st edition will have the chef Enrique Sánchez as town crier and will feature a stellar performance by José Manuel Soto.
– This Sunday, 18 December, 1,500 kilos of semolina flour, 200 kilos of wheat flour, with the collaboration of Pastas Gallo, which once again this year chooses this festival to promote its product, 100 kilos of gluten-free flour, 600 litres of oil, 80 kilos of garlic and 40 kilos of salt will be used to make the migas, which will be tasted free of charge in the Llano de la Almazara. As tradition dictates, the famous “ensalada arriera” (a kind of salad) that accompanies this typical dish will also be served. It will be prepared by the Women’s Association of La Almedina with 1,500 kilos of tomatoes, 200 kilos of oranges, 220 kilos of onions, 120 kilos of cod and as many kilos of olives. These delicacies will be accompanied by 1,600 litres of local wine. For the fifth consecutive year migas will also be offered gluten-free.

Vax skeptic Governor of Florida seeks grand jury investigation into Covid vaccines:
