MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin
We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.
At Moonette, we are passionate about health, beauty and plants. Your skin will benefit from the properties of botanic essential oils combined with a selection of nutrients for deep hydration, cell revitalization and antioxidant effect, all sourced from the finest natural ingredients with gorgeous fragrances.
Naturally, we care about our planet and feel the need to help reduce the sheer volumes of plastics waste that are generated daily around the globe. Presently, we are minimizing the usage of plastic materials in our production while seeking alternative forms of packaging. To help reduce pollution we are asking all local customers to recycle or reuse their Moonette skincare containers, and offering a small discount on future purchases to customers recycling containers.

Meteorologists already know what this summer is going to be like in Spain- “scorching” and “longer”: {Translation, summary}
– The team of meteorologists at Eltiempo.es have made statistical calculations with the trends in precipitation and temperature for their quarterly forecasts for May, June and July and for the summer (June, July and August) and the news is not good. According to their calculations, “the climatological summer months will bring us a much warmer atmosphere than normal in practically the whole of the Peninsula”, explains Mar Gómez, doctor in Physical Sciences and head of meteorology at Eltiempo.es.
– “The summer is very likely to be scorching. There is still a lot of time left, but our calculations tell us, with a very high probability of more than 70-80%, that there will be thermal anomalies, i.e. temperatures above normal in almost all of Spain, especially in Andalusia, Extremadura, the two Castiles, Madrid, Aragon, La Rioja, Navarre and parts of the Basque Country and Catalonia”, says Gómez in statements to 20minutos. “In my experience, such a high probability of the calculations indicates that this forecast will be fulfilled. The DGT prohibits you from driving if you have any of these diseases & conditions: {Translation, summary}
– Far from being discrimination, these rules are set because it is considered that a person’s physical or mental condition prevents safe driving. Such is the control sought in these cases that driving with certain conditions can lead to the total withdrawal of the driving licence.
– These are the diseases that the DGT specifies as grounds for driving bans:
Chronic and degenerative diseases:
– Alzheimer’s disease
– Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
– Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
– Essential tremor
– Multiple sclerosis
– Muscular dystrophy
– Osteoporosis
– Parkinson’s disease
– Rheumatoid arthritis
Neurological diseases
– Transient ischaemic attack
– Seizures or loss of consciousness
– Epilepsy
Renal diseases:
– Renal transplantation
– Nephropathy with dialysis
Psychiatric illnesses:
– Delirium, dementias and anxiety disorders.
– Catatonic disorders, personality disorders
– Anxiety and depression
– Sleep disorders
– Obsessive compulsive disorder
– Intellectual development disorder
– Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
– Alcohol abuse and dependence
– Drug abuse and dependence
In addition to the fact that the symptoms of these diseases can affect different skills necessary to be able to drive, their treatments also imply incompatibility with driving, as warned in some drug package leaflets. These effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, double vision or blurred vision or reduced reflexes.
– If a driving licence is withdrawn for driving with any of the aforementioned conditions, fines of up to 6,000 euros may be imposed. Source, Spanish: https://www.abc.es/motor/dgt-prohibe-conducir-enfermedades-20230413114120-nt.html

My salary has been paid late, do I have the right to compensation?:
– Business failure to pay payroll is considered a serious offense, but what happens when the company does not pay the salary repeatedly or does so with constant delays that harm the worker?
– A recent sentence of the Social Chamber of the Supreme Court has unified the doctrine and has determined that when it is determined that there is a delay in the payment of salary, the worker not only has the right to collect the same but also may unilaterally terminate the contract and the employer will be obliged to pay you the same compensation as for an unfair dismissal.
– The Supreme Court interprets article 50 of the Workers’ Statute that indicates that “the lack of payments or continued delays in the payment of the agreed salary” will be just cause for termination of the contract. If this situation occurred, the employer would have to pay their employee compensation corresponding to 33 days per year worked, even if it was the employee who has decided to leave and has not been fired. Las Gabias gastronomy fair: {Translation}
– The fair will take place on April 14, 15 and 16.
– This second edition of the Gourmet Fair organized by the Gabirro municipality will have a varied program in which local gastronomy is displayed through various show-cooking demos, a cooking modality that consists of preparing dishes in front of the public and that allows the chef to interact with them. Likewise, for these days some guided visits to the Torreón de las Gabias are also organized in the mornings and other activities such as cooking workshops for adults and children that will be given by some bakeries and pastry shops in the municipality.
– To liven up the nights, several flamenco music concerts are planned and there will also be a DJ for those who decide to lengthen the evening a bit.
– During the days of the fair, different bar services will be available and attendees will be able to enjoy the gastronomy of some establishments in the area such as: Tiffanis, Portichuelo, Tapa tía, KOKO Asian and Las girls. 35 MPs and Lords Demand US Attorney General Drops Charges Against Assange on Fourth Anniversary of His Imprisonment:
– Today marks the fourth anniversary of Mr Assange’s imprisonment in London’s Belmarsh prison. He was taken there after the Ecuadorean embassy, where he had been living in sanctuary since 2012 having been granted political asylum by the country, invited British police in to arrest him following the Lenin Moreno government’s reneging on the socialist principles of its predecessor.
– Thirty-five British parliamentarians have written to the US attorney general on the fourth anniversary of Julian Assange’s imprisonment to demand Washington drop its efforts to extradite him. The MPs and lords from six parties stress that Mr Assange faces up to 175 years in a US jail “for his publishing work which was carried out in the United Kingdom and in partnership with globally leading news outlets.” They warn that the extradition of an award-winning journalist and publisher “would have a chilling impact on journalism and set a dangerous precedent for other journalists and media organisations. It would also undermine the US’s reputation on freedom of expression and the rule of law.” Full article: https://www.globalresearch.ca/35-mps-lords-demand-us-attorney-general-drops-charges-against-assange-4th-anniversary-his-imprisonment/5815784

Aldi recalls Lyttos meatballs in tomato sauce:
– German supermarket chain Aldi has withdrawn some tomato meatballs from its shelves. According to the company itself, the entire stock of the meatballs in tomato sauce (Rindfleischbällchen) from the Lyttos brand are going to disappear from the stores.
– This is because they are wrongly labelled as eggplant in sauce or vegetables in a spicy sauce and contain gluten, which is not reflected on the label. For this reason, Aldi has warned on its website that those allergic to gluten who have purchased this product should return it to a store as soon as possible, where the full amount will be refunded. If you have any doubts in Spain you can contact the supermarket chain’s customer service representatives by email at contigo@aldi.es as well as by phone 900 902 466.

TECH
“Juice Jacking”- Why you shouldn’t use public charging stations, according to the FBI:
– Juice jacking is a type of cyberattack in which a hacker manages to steal data from a smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices while it’s being charged in a public charging station. The hackers manipulate the USB charging port, which can transfer data besides charging the device. That way they can install malware on the device, lock it or steal personal data, and other sensitive information, such as passwords, credit card information, or contacts, which are sent to the perpetrator. After that, they can use it to access online accounts or sell it to other bad actors.
– With the rising popularity of public charging stations which are now found in airports, shopping malls, and train stations, more people are at risk of being a victim of a cyberattack of this kind. The hackers alter the charging station and disguise it as a legitimate one, which makes it difficult for users to detect the risk. Many may know the risk but still charge their phone out of necessity.
– The best way to prevent juice jacking is not using public charging stations, and use an AC power outlet instead. When you are traveling, make sure to bring your own cables and adapters, and never use one that’s not yours. As the FCC points out, some hackers give away manipulated cables or leave them at stations. It may seem easy to just plug our devices on them, but there’s a strong risk of being hacked. ARTIFICIAL INTELLEGENCE (AI)
European privacy watchdog EDPT creates ChatGPT task force after Spain requests investigation:
– The body that unites Europe’s national privacy watchdogs said on Thursday it had set up a task force on ChatGPT, a potentially important first step toward a common policy on setting privacy rules on artificial intelligence.
– The move by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) follows a unilateral move by Italy last month to curb ChatGPT – a stance that Germany’s commissioner for data protection said could be followed in Europe’s biggest economy.
– ChatGPT, an AI program that grabbed the public’s attention for its ability to write answers quickly to a wide range of queries (and now create deep-fake photos), has grown to be the fastest-growing consumer application in history with more than 100 million monthly active users, while raising questions about threats it may pose to safety, privacy and jobs.
