III Encuentro 4×4 Torrox Extremo: 1st & 2nd April:
The Mayor of Torrox, Oscar Medina España, highlighted the good fortune of having in Torrox a group of locals who love motor sports and make it one of the municipalities with the greatest drive in this discipline, emphasizing that motor enthusiasts will come from different parts of the region, thus being an opportunity to get to know the municipality.
Registration will be open until the day of the race.
The Sports Councillor, Jose Manuel Fernandez Nieto, explained that it will be from the esplanade of the sports area of La Granja where the route will start at 7pm, which will cross all the corners of the municipality until it reaches Calaceite.
Antonio García, representative of the club, specified that the orienteering test on Saturday consists of a local route. On Sunday at 9am the verifications will take place in the series, improved and protos categories, with the exhibition starting at ten o’clock in the morning.

– Pensioners and retirees do not cease in their struggle for “quality” care and “dignified” residences. The unions accuse the Junta de Andalucía of being “cruel” for “exaggerated” waiting lists and for “not” reducing them “sufficiently”. The waiting time in the province to receive a benefit is more than 540 days, when the law stipulates a maximum of 180 days.

A Vietnamese couple arrested in Vélez-Málaga for exploiting compatriots in beauty centers: {Translation}
– The National Police have arrested in Vélez-Málaga a couple of Vietnamese origin who exploited their compatriots at work in the network of aesthetic and beauty centers that they ran in several Andalusian provinces. Specifically, the couple is accused of a crime against the rights of workers and foreign citizens.
– The investigation, carried out together with the Labour Inspection Services of Malaga, Cadiz and Seville, began in Algeciras (Cadiz), where it was discovered that in different beauty and aesthetics centres that advertised themselves as “Vietnamese nails”, migrants of Vietnamese origin who were in an irregular situation were being repeatedly employed.
– At first, as the National Police explained in a statement on Wednesday, the victims were forced to accept any work situation imposed on them so that they could not subsequently leave, as they had no other way of earning a living or paying off the debts incurred by their journey to Spain.
