Drone show and fireworks: For the inauguration of the Mirador del Carmen in Estepona from 8pm on Friday, 31 March.
The first act of the evening will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting which will take place at the European Union roundabout. A charity bar will be set up and will be managed by the Hermandad de Nuestra Señora del Carmen Coronada-Patrona de Estepona religious brotherhood. And there will be musical performances by Raya Real and Longplay. The Mirador del Carmen tower can be visited free of charge from Saturday 1 April from 9am to 9pm.

Vélez-Málaga tourist train to operate during Easter Week:
A tourist train will offer free tours of Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar throughout Easter week. It is scheduled to depart from and return to from Nuestra Señora del Carmen-Antigua Azucarera in Torre del Mar, taking in the old castle on Plaza de la Axarquía and the town’s lighthouses of the promenade. Montejícar opens the longest zip-line in Andalucía: {Translation}
– The president of the Granada Provincial Council, José Entrena, has inaugurated a leisure and adventure complex in Montejícar, which has the longest zip line in Andalusia, with a distance of two kilometers, in an act in which he was accompanied by the mayor from the municipality of the Los Montes region, Javier Jiménez, the deputy for Sports, Manuel Guirado, and part of the local government team.

‘Pink cocaine’- The expensive and trendy drug is neither cocaine nor high quality:
– The substance is pink, sometimes smells like strawberries and in Spain goes by different names: tucibi, tusi, pink powder. Most commonly, it is called pink cocaine and considered a luxury drug for affluent people: a single gram costs 80, 90 and even 100 dollars. The same amount of ordinary cocaine costs around 60 dollars, according to a report that the Spanish Observatory on Drugs and Addictions (OEDA in Spanish) published this year.
– Pink cocaine is neither cocaine nor luxury. Between 2019 and 2022, Energy Control – an organization that works to ensure the safe consumption of narcotics – analyzed 150 samples of pink cocaine. It found dye in almost all of them and cocaine in only two. Most pink cocaine was a cocktail of several cheaper drugs; 44% of the samples contained ketamine, MDMA (ecstasy) and caffeine. Methamphetamine (“speed”) is also a common ingredient.
– But there are also people who sell another substance under the name pink cocaine; it has the same color and is sold at similar prices, but it is completely different from the pink powder that results from mixing several drugs. This other pink cocaine’s scientific name is 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyphenylethylamine (or “2-CB”), a substance that belongs to the psychedelic phenethylamine family. 2-CB’s effects resemble LSD and ecstasy but are weaker and less stimulating. It is also referred to as nexus or trippy pills. “It is very important to distinguish between the two. The media has used the terms tusi and 2-CB interchangeably. They are not [the same]. 2-CB is a different substance,” the coordinator of Energy Control in Madrid, De la Vega explained.

We are a friendly, multi-national, Bible believing community of Christ. We meet each Sunday at 11am to worship the Lord. We enjoy a time of worship with contemporary songs and traditional hymns, and a message brought to us by our Pastor, one of our members or a visiting speaker.
Bible study is at 6pm on Tuesdays.
The church meeting hall is situated underneath Maroma Inmobiliaria, Puente don Manuel, Cruce de Periana, 29713.

St George’s Church Málaga: We are part of the Church of England in Spain covering the area from Torremolinos in the west to the outskirts of Nerja in the east and to the northern edge of Malaga province. 
We have three worship centres, in Velez-Málaga, Málaga city and Salinas. Everyone is welcome to our Sunday services in English, and you can also contact us to enquire about baptisms, marriage blessings, funerals, and house blessings. 
Father Louis, our Chaplain, is available for counsel and support, regardless of anyone’s beliefs or background. We aspire to be a welcoming and inclusive community, open to all people seeking faith and friendship. 
If you can’t get to church, we live-stream our Sunday services on Facebook, and also gather on Zoom for an informal service on Wednesday mornings.
