Saudi Arabia enters the war and launches a coordinated attack with the US against pro-Iranian militias in Iraq: {Trans, summary}

30% of Spain’s population acknowledges problems with their financial institution in the last year: {Trans, summary}

– Additionally, problems related to incorrect costs and commissions also generate discontent, with 8.6% of users affected by incorrect charges during the analyzed period, a figure that doubles or triples the incidence in the other countries evaluated. Additionally, the study reveals that 7.2% of customers have been pressured by their banks to purchase unwanted or unnecessary products, and 12.5% of Spanish users have incurred higher-than-expected costs associated with their accounts, a percentage that again stands out as the highest compared to Portugal, Italy, and Belgium.
– Spain leads the way compared to the other three countries analyzed, both in problems related to erroneous charges and in complaints about pressure to sell financial products. However, recovering on claims often depends on the willingness of the financial institutions themselves to resolve the errors or compensate customers, even in the face of favourable rulings from supervisory bodies such as the Bank of Spain, the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), or the Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds, according to experts at OCU Inversiones.

– As COVID cases and deaths began to soar in the spring of 2020, America desperately needed a trustworthy public-health leader. Instead, we got Dr. Anthony Fauci — and now his diary entries from that time are showing just how incredibly unworthy of the nation’s trust he truly was.
– Time and again, his private notes contradict what he was telling the world at the very same time, and the stories he’s spun up since to protect his unearned reputation.
– For starters, he insisted time and again that the “lab leak hypothesis” was a wacky conspiracy theory, that the virus had jumped naturally from animals to humans, presumably at the “wet market” in Wuhan, China. Yet the diaries reveal that he knew early on that it had not come from the wet market, and was confronted with scientists he’d selected who argued with strong evidence that “lab leak” was the truth — and that the bug was likely bio-engineered in the Wuhan Institute Virology.
– We also now know that he himself referred to research at WIV that he had funded with federal cash as “GOF,” meaning “gain of function,” altering viruses to make them more deadly or contagious to humans — though he later testified time and time again under questioning by Sen. Rand Paul that he’d never funded such work. Since China’s rulers destroyed all records long ago to cover up their guilt in the death of millions, we’ll never know for sure if Fauci’s funding played a role — but his behaviour clearly shows he feared it did, and used all power at his disposal to stop the ugly truth from coming out.
– He engaged in the same information-control to stomp on experts who questioned the wisdom of locking everything down to fight COVID, while bragging to his diary about how he got the likes of then-Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Gavin Newsom to lock down New York City and California. Years later, he turned around and claimed he’d never pushed for mass lockdowns: The diaries again prove him a liar.
