Linda, Torrox Costa
Wanted- Long Term Rental: Naythan & Mr. Bones are looking for a new home.
My current studio is just too small in these times when we are stuck at home most of the day.
My dog Mr. Bones, a very well behaved, city friendly Galgo mix (Spanish Greyhound), must be welcome.
Should be easily accessible, preferably ground floor but one flight up is ok, and within walking distance of a supermarket. A small outdoor space such as a terrace or balcony would be a plus.
It must have internet already installed, minimum 30Mb/s.
I can pay up to €300 per month plus bills and internet. In my 10yrs on the Costa I have never been late paying rent. No studios please. I would consider unfurnished if that gets me the right place.
Anywhere near the coast between Velez Malaga and Nerja considered.
I work nights, and tend to walk the dog late at night, so a place with sensitive neighbors is not appropriate. I am a smoker, but if there is a place outdoors to sit with my laptop on a table, for hours at a time, then I won’t smoke indoors.
To start May or June and prefer a 3 year lease. I realize this is asking a lot going into summer season, but this is not going to be a normal summer, some landlord may prefer reliable monthly cash in hand year round.

Recommendation for Mandy’s Paintbox: We hired Mandy to paint the roof of our conservatory. It had a white, very bright surface which the neighbors above us found very uncomfortable. Giving the problem to Mandy due to her advert on “Digame” we found her very professional and provided the perfect solution for all parties. We would unreservedly recommend Mandy. Her pricing is very reasonable and you get a very professional service from her and a first class job.

Bars and shops will be open until 21.30 and meetings of up to six people will be possible in Andalusia in Level 2 areas (Level 2 areas to be announced Thursday): {Translated from sevilla.abc.es} Updated 03/03/2021 20:23
-Andalusia has new measures against the coronavirus. Thus, as explained by the Minister of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre, shops and restaurants in the community will be allowed to open until 21:30. Until now, non-essential businesses as well as bars and restaurants had to close at six o’clock in the evening. This measure will only be applied in areas that are on level 2 alert, Aguirre said.
-In addition, according to the Junta de Andalucía, gatherings – as long as they are outdoors – will be allowed for up to six people. Until now, only four people were allowed.
-According to the Junta, the decision on which areas are at level 2, 3 or 4 alert will be taken this Thursday by the provincial alert committees. They stress from the Board that “the alert levels are reviewed every week, so the cities in level 3 may pass the following level 2 or vice versa, depending on how the incidence evolves”.
-What remains unchanged, explained Junta sources, is the perimeter closure of Andalusia as well as the confinement of the provinces. The closure of non-essential trade in localities with more than 1,000 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants or the confinement of municipalities when they exceed 500 is also maintained. Finally, the curfew is maintained from ten at night until six in the morning, as it is now.
-Aguirre, after the meeting, called on citizens to be cautious. “We have observed the parameters both at 14 and 7 days and there is a discreet drop as well as a stabilisation in ICU and hospital beds”. For this reason, said the Health Minister, they have decided to be “very prudent when it comes to taking measures to minimise this possible fourth wave and that we are in a plateau phase in the third wave”.
-This announcement comes at a time when Andalusia’s third wave of the pandemic is falling at an increasingly slower rate. In this peak of infections, which reached almost 8,000 cases per day at the end of January, hospital admissions and deaths soared to figures unheard of in this health crisis. The cumulative incidence reached almost 1,000 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a figure that fell to 143 on Wednesday.
-These soaring figures have their origins in the Christmas period. Then the measures were relaxed when the second wave had not completely subsided and this led to this number of infections and, later, deaths. We must not lose sight of the fact that February was the blackest month in Andalusia, with almost 2,000 deaths due to the coronavirus.
-The Andalusian government wants to avoid a repeat of the Christmas situation. It is true that the figures have fallen compared to the peak of the third wave. But then the figures were extremely high. To put the data into perspective, it is enough to point out that between the second and third waves the incidence dropped to a very similar level to the current one. Relaxing the measures then increased tenfold the variable that measures the speed and severity of the pandemic.
-Determined not to let the third wave be revived or a fourth wave be reached, the Board has opted for a conservative profile in the relaxation of restrictions. This is something they warned about and which they based on the example of Christmas and the presence of the British variant – up to 70 percent more contagious than the original – which already accounts for 60 percent of cases in the community on average. And this is something they have achieved.
-We will have to wait until Easter, which is a month away, to see if the measures and restrictions are relaxed further. This is something that has been requested, above all, by the hotel and tourism sector. However, it is not yet clear that the government and the Junta will grant. How is Spain’s Covid vaccination campaign going in each region, and who is next on the list?: Spain has ended the first two months of its Covid-19 vaccination campaign with 4.5 million shots administered and 1.2 million people having received the two doses needed for the full protection provided by the medication. The country’s regions are not only in charge of their healthcare systems and their response to the pandemic, but also of the vaccination process. While there are disparities from territory to territory, the first group in the process as set out by the central government – seniors in residences and their carers – is nearly complete, while the second – frontline health workers – are receiving their second doses.
The regions are now overlapping the campaign with other priority groups, such as other healthcare staff, adults with major disabilities, the over-80s and essential workers, including teachers. While some areas are opting for vaccinations in healthcare centers and door-to-door mobile units, others are resorting to the use of large installations such as arenas.

Hack Alert- an email campaign that impersonates WeTransfer and WhatsApp to install a virus: {Translated in full from laprovincia.es}
-The National Institute of Cybersecurity (Incibe) has detected a new email campaign that impersonates the identity of companies such as WeTransfer or WhatsApp, whose messages contain links that download a Trojan on the device.
-The message urges the user to click on a link using different arguments, according to Incibe in a statement on Wednesday. To provoke the user’s interest, subjects such as “Backup of WhatsApp messages ×913071605 Nº (xxxxx)” and “I sent you some files – Nº (xxxxx)” appear, although it is not ruled out that there are other emails with different subjects, but with the same objective, to incite the recipient to download a malicious file under some pretext of interest.
-“If you have not executed the downloaded file, your device is probably not infected. All you need to do is delete the file you find in the download folder. You should also send the email you received to the trash bin,” Incibe said.
On the other hand, it has warned that those who have downloaded and executed the malicious file may have infected their device and has recommended that they scan it with an updated antivirus. Texas and Mississippi to end mask mandates, allow businesses to reopen at full capacity: Gov. Greg Abbott ended Texas’ statewide mask mandate and announced an executive order to allow all businesses to reopen at full capacity. They join 14 other states—Florida, South Dakota, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee—in not having mask mandates.
“It is now time to open Texas 100%,” Abbott said at a news conference Tuesday.
“COVID has not suddenly disappeared,” he added. “But it is clear from the recoveries, from the vaccinations, from the reduced hospitalizations, and from the safe practices that Texas are using, that state mandates are no longer needed.”
-Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announced Tuesday that he’s lifting mask mandates for all counties. “This new order removes all of our county mask mandates and allows businesses to operate at full capacity without state-imposed rules or restrictions,” said Reeves.
