Microsoft in Damage Control Mode, Fighting Off Ongoing Hack: Microsoft Issues Security Patches for 89 Flaws, Internet Explorer Under Active Attacks: Microsoft plugged as many as 89 security flaws as part of its monthly Patch Tuesday updates released today, including fixes for an actively exploited zero-day in Internet Explorer that could permit an attacker to run arbitrary code on target machines.
Of these flaws, 14 are listed as Critical, and 75 are listed as Important in severity, out of which two of the bugs are described as publicly known, while five others have been reported as under active attack at the time of release.
In the wake of the MS Exchange servers coming under intense assault toward the end of February, by multiple threat groups looking to exploit the vulnerabilities and plant backdoors on corporate networks, Microsoft took the unusual step of releasing out-of-band fixes a week earlier than planned. Microsoft Hack Update- At least 10 different hacking groups using recently discovered flaw in Microsoft Corp’s mail server software to break in to targets around the world:
The security holes in the widely used mail and calendaring solution leave the door open to industrial-scale cyber espionage, allowing malicious actors to steal emails virtually at will from vulnerable servers. Tens of thousands of organizations have already been compromised, Reuters reported last week, and new victims are being made public daily.
Earlier on Wednesday, for example, Norway’s parliament announced data had been “extracted” in a breach linked to the Microsoft flaws. Germany’s cybersecurity watchdog agency also said on Wednesday two federal authorities had been affected by the hack, although it declined to identify them.

Mobdro Pirate Streaming: In February it became clear that the video streaming tool was suffering serious problems.
Alongside reports that Mobdro was no longer working, there was speculation that Mobdro may have been subjected to law enforcement action. Following a new announcement from Eurojust (European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation), it is clear that the authorities were involved in the app’s demise.
Eurojust said it recently coordinated an “action day” against Mobdro. This led to the search of four locations. One suspect was arrested by Spanish authorities and three others were reportedly taken in for questioning in Spain and Andorra. Stepping on the toes of the Premier League, La Liga, and the members of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (all at once), was never likely to end well. The precarious balance between the country’s two main political blocs has been broken by what started out as a local move that quickly snowballed into an event with national repercussions.
In just a few hours on Wednesday, a no-confidence motion filed in Murcia against the conservative Popular Party (PP) by the Socialist Party (PSOE) and the liberal Ciudadanos (Citizens) led to the fall of the regional government of Madrid, and threatened to destabilize other regions such as Andalusia and Castilla y León.
All eyes are now on Andalusia, which is also run by a coalition of the PP and Ciudadanos. The government there has stated that its stability is assured despite calls for an early election by the far-right Vox, which props up the coalition.
