The Great Spaghetti Harvest 2021: Spaghetti is not a widely-eaten food in the UK and is considered by many as an exotic delicacy. A Panorama programme, narrated by distinguished broadcaster Richard Dimbleby, features a family from Ticino in Switzerland carrying out their annual spaghetti harvest.
Mr. Dimbleby explains how each year the end of March is a very anxious time for Spaghetti harvesters all over Europe as severe frost can impair the flavour of the spaghetti.
He also explained how each strand of spaghetti always grows to the same length thanks to years of hard work by generations of growers.

-Andalusia has reported 1,881 new cases of coronavirus and 16 deaths due to Covid-19 on Wednesday, a figure that corresponds to two days due to the failure of the Alert Network registration system on Tuesday.
-At an average of 1,000 cases per day, the 14-day incidence rate continues to rise slightly to almost 140 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The 71.3 cases per seven-day rate confirms the upturn. Almeria and Granada continue to have 14-day rates above 200 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, 218 in Almeria and 203 in Granada. Cordoba is also close to this threshold with 194 cases, followed by Seville (141), Jaen and Cadiz (110), Huelva (110) and Malaga, which is now the province with the lowest incidence rate with 88 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
-There have been no significant changes in the number of hospitalised patients, which on Wednesday totalled 1,034 patients, four more than on Tuesday, of whom 247 are being treated in the ICU. Spain allows the AstraZeneca vaccination of over-65s but only if they are essential workers: Spain’s Ministry of Health decided on Tuesday (30 March) to scrap the 65-year-old age limit for administering the AstraZeneca vaccine – but it will only be used for people in the essential worker categories.
Members of these groups (mainly teachers, firefighters, prison and police officers) who are over 65 years and are still working will be jabbed with the Oxford formula, although in practice, few will receive it as most will be retired.
Since 24 March, the AstraZeneca vaccine has been administered to people up to 65 years of age after initially being limited to essential workers under 55.
The decision was made by the Public Health Commission, in which the Ministry of Health and the autonomous regions participate. It also agreed to allocate the single-dose Janssen vaccine, which will arrive in Spain on 19 April, for those over 66 years of age, alongside the Pfizer and Moderna formulas. France Heads Into Monthlong Lockdown as Virus Spirals in Europe: French President Emmanuel Macron announced a nationwide four-week lockdown, closing schools and business, in the latest and alarming sign that Europe is yet again losing control of the pandemic.
“We did everything we could to make these decisions as late as possible, when they became strictly necessary. That is now,” Macron said in a televised address on Wednesday. New variants make the virus “more contagious and deadlier,” he said.
Earlier in the evening, Italy joined Germany in extending their partial shutdowns well into April, with Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s government saying current restrictions on movement and business openings in high-risk areas will remain in place until the end of April 30. Extra measures include making vaccination mandatory for medical staff.

Email Spoofing- What is it, and how does it work?: Spoofing occurs when a hacker sends an email that appears to have been sent from a trusted source/domain. Defined as “the forgery of an email address header to make the message appear as if it was sent from a person or location other than the actual sender,” it has plagued brands for decades.
-When an email is sent by a hacker, the From address doesn’t show which server the email was actually sent from – instead, it shows an email address and name that was entered by the hacker when the email was created so as not to arouse suspicion among recipients. We’ve all received these spam emails that appear to be from a legit company, but had obvious flaws like mis-spellings, that reveal them as fakes.
-Email spoofing is used in phishing attacks to trick users into believing the message is from a person or entity they either know or can trust. A cybercriminal uses a spoofing attack to trick recipients into believing that the message is from someone who is not. In this way, attackers can cause you harm without you being able to trace it. If you see an email from the taxman that says your refund was sent to another bank account, it may be a spoofing attack.
-Phishing attacks can also occur via email spoofing. This is a fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (PIN numbers), often for malicious purposes. The term comes from “fishing” for a victim by pretending to be trustworthy.
