Halloween Celebration in Torre del Mar: Sunday, Oct 31st.
-The events start at 18:00 hours with the musical float that will make its way through different streets of our town.
-From 19:00 hours the parade will begin with several municipal theatre and dance groups, which will start in Calle del Mar Norte, Calle del Mar Sur, Calle Saladero, Calle Princesa and Avenida de Andalucía until it ends at Paseo de Larios. The entertainment will be provided by La Carpa Teatro, New Crew and Feel The Music.
-Finally, on the Paseo de Larios, the ‘Pasaje del Terror’ will take place from 20:00 in the evening, which promises great surprises until 1am. In addition, a themed photocall will be set up on Paseo de Larios to give those attending a souvenir.

-On Monday 18 October, Andalusia recorded a total of 289 cases of coronavirus infection in 48 hours, up from 276 on Saturday and 171 a week ago, while recording one death, six fewer than two days ago and the same number in the inter-weekly comparison.

UK driving licence exchange in Spain: Negotiations continue between the UK and Spanish governments on this issue. At the moment residents with valid UK licences only have until October 31 to use them.
If you are one of the UK Nationals who successfully registered their intent to exchange their licence by 30 December 2020, as things stand, your UK licence will also become invalid for driving in Spain on 31 October, but you will still be eligible to exchange it for a Spanish one until 31 December 2021 without having to take a practical test. Amazon accused of lying about its business practices to US Congress: Members of Congress have accused Amazon executives of misleading or lying to an antitrust committee about its business practices, following recent reports that the company uses third-party seller data to copy products and promotes those versions in search results. The representatives, all members of the House Judiciary Committee’s antitrust subcommittee, are considering whether to ask the Department of Justice to undertake a criminal investigation.
Bezos told the committee last year that the company doesn’t allow employees to use data from individual sellers to bolster its own product lines, though “couldn’t guarantee” that the company hasn’t misused such data.
An investigation published by Reuters last week suggested Amazon India “ran a systematic campaign” of copying other companies’ products and manipulating search results to promote them.
