Recommendation: New Gym in Torrox Pueblo. Training Studio Torrox is a great new gym in Torrox Pueblo run by John D. (all languages spoken). It’s fully equipped, good classes too (pilates, yoga etc). Top quality equipment, lovely studios and a beautiful terrace for yoga and pilates. Rates are excellent, very competitive, either monthly or pay-as-you-go. Located in Calle Alta, parking in the large free car park is a 5-minute walk using the shortcut through the square. Ronda gears up for its historical Romántica event: Ronda, and the Serranía, s gearing up for its traditional Romántica event, which will immerse the mountain town in an era of bandits, travellers, muleteers and other characters from the early 19th century. It will be held on the last weekend of May and include many different activities.
The mayor, María de la Paz Fernández, announced that prior to the main event, on 20 April, a monument marking the Romántica route will be unveiled next to Camping El Sur, by the road between Ronda and Gaucín.

The weather alert in Malaga: {Translation, summary}
-Orange alert for waves of up to 10 metres from midnight on Sunday.
-The rains that have guaranteed the water supply for the coming months, have given a respite this weekend in Malaga, where in some areas highs of 18 degrees have been recorded, with sunny skies practically throughout the province. The Aemet plans to raise the alert to orange from midnight this Sunday for coastal phenomena. Winds will blow from the east and northeast with force 8 and 9, while waves could reach 10 metres.

Maximum temperatures will be around 16 degrees, while minimum temperatures will remain at 10 degrees until Thursday, when the heat is expected to return.

An earthquake was registered in Malaga on Saturday night: A seismic movement was registered in Malaga on Saturday, 2 April. It was at 10.15pm, according to data from Spain’s National Geographic Institute (IGN). The earthquake had the city as its epicentre and was recorded at a depth of 72 kilometres, so it was not felt by the population nor resulted in any damage. The magnitude was 2.5.
It is the second seismic movement in Malaga province this week. The first, according to information provided by the IGN, happened last Thursday in Casabermeja. Marbella couple warn of housing rental scam by fake post on Fakebook: On Sunday, February 27, they say they saw an ad on Facebook Marketplace showing a property available for rent in the area of Guadalmina, Marbella. “We were excited at finding such a fantastic deal and it was an enormous blow to find out it was a scam.” She added: “I would like to warn everyone to be very careful.” She lost €2,700 to the scammer. She and her husband went to the address in Los Monteros on the date that had been agreed upon, but there was no sign of the woman who claimed to be the owner. They knocked on the door of the property that they had supposedly reserved with their deposit. The man who opened the door informed them that it was his house and it was not for rent, nor was it the first time that someone had come and asked about it. The devastated couple have since contacted the police, denouncing the alleged con artist and are now warning others not to fall for a similar housing scam.
