MOONETTE – Organic Skincare for Mature Skin

We are a Torrox-based company specialising in the creation of formulae which help prevent premature skin ageing. We are committed to making effective products at affordable prices.
Your skin health matters to us. How you feed your skin is as important as how you feed your body. Why settle for anything less than natural and organic?
As our skin is the first layer of our defence against microbial infections, ultraviolet radiation and environmental contamination it plays a vital role in our health. As we grow older, however, our skin becomes thinner, wrinkled, and more sensitive; hence it requires the use of treatments containing specific ingredients to the care of treating mature skin.
Recognising this need we have created a range of formulae which help
-slow down ageing process by smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
-improve facial complexion and eliminate blemishes.

COVID

Covid Andalucia- Decrease of 101 hospital admissions since Tuesday to 578 and ICUs down by four: {Translation, 03/06/2022 · 12:51}
-On Friday, 3 June, Andalusia recorded a drop of 101 hospitalisations due to coronavirus compared to Tuesday 31 May to 578, the lowest figure since 12 April (484), while admissions to intensive care units (ICU) fell by four to 27.
-Director of Health and Families of the Board of Andalusia, Jesús Aguirre, stressed that “we are already on a trend, not a saw-toothed one, but a clearly downward trend”.
-In this context, the evolution of “ICU admissions” also fits in, as “we are at 27 ICU admissions”, and this after “we have reached figures of 700 in other periods. We would have to go to the middle of 2020 to find a figure of 27 hospital admissions at ICU level, in the whole of Andalusia.
-These figures mean, according to the minister, that the pandemic in Andalusia is following “a clear downward trend, and we hope that it does not stop”, but neither can we forget, Aguirre warned, that “the virus is with us and that the virus continues to cause deaths” and infections. Why you should be raising your rates if you’re self-employed in Spain: With inflation in Spain at its highest rate in four decades, many of the 3.1 million self-employed people working in Spain have increased their rates in order to try and make up the difference and stay afloat financially. According to data from the official ATA barometer for May 2022, well over half (57.3 percent) have already upped the prices of their products and services. In fact, the ATA barometer reveals that almost half of those interviewed would rather not be self-employed again. In fact, one in five who have deregistered said they would “never” be autónomos again.
-The price rise that’s impacted businesses in Spain most is that of electricity (70 percent affected), followed by raw material and petrol price increases, affecting around 42 percent of those surveyed. And the trend looks set to continue, as 80 percent of autónomos surveyed said their businesses have been “fairly” or “very” affected by rising inflation.
-This comes as many self-employed workers are still trying to recover from the loss of earnings brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, with 66 percent of respondents stating they have yet to recover those losses. Half of those fear they won’t recoup the difference from losses during the pandemic until 2023.

Spain has only administered 2% of the anticovid pills for which it paid €238 million: After the vaccines, Paxlovid was the great hope to end covid-19: an oral treatment produced by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer that reaches up to 89% efficacy in reducing hospitalizations and deaths and that works against all variants, including omicron. On January 27, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) gave the green light to these anticovid pills and Spain soon showed great interest in acquiring them. So much so that the Ministry of Health reached an agreement with Pfizer to receive 344,000 complete treatments for 238 million euros (at 691 euros each). “This drug represents a very important advance to continue saving lives,” said the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, on March 24, when she signed the contract with the company. But the use of Paxlovid is being almost nil. Health has already received 51,649 treatments, of which 50,000 have been distributed to the communities, but so far only 1,218 have been dispensed, just 2.35% of them, Darias revealed in the Congressional Health Commission. Food alerts for Lidl and Mercadona products in Spain:
-In the first case, the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) reported the presence of salmonella in the 500g packaging of minced poultry meat (Chicken-Turkey Burger Meat) sold by the German supermarket chain Lidl. The affected lot is number 3369, with an expiration date of June 3, 2022. Its packaging is a plastic tray and it is sold refrigerated.
-The second of the alerts declared has to do with chia seeds in Mercadona’s Hacendado brand, due to the presence of the soy allergen not being included in the product labelling. Full article: https://euroweeklynews.com/2022/06/03/food-alerts-for-lidl-and-mercadona-products-in-spain/

British Nationals Can Still Use Their Unexpired EHIC Cards When Travelling to EU, Despite Brexit: A large number of British nationals can still use their European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC) when travelling to the majority of European Union and Schengen Area countries, in spite of the United Kingdom’s complete departure from the EU in December 31, 2020.
-However, due to UK’s departure from the bloc, new EHIC cards are now issued only to UK nationals that are covered by the Withdrawal Agreement. While it is estimated that around 5.6 million EHIC cards will have expired by the end of this year, a lot of them will remain valid in 2023, in particular those that were issued throughout 2020, just before Brexit, since an EHIC card can be issued for up to five years. Tennis News- Rafael Nadal reaches French Open final to face Casper Ruud after Alexander Zverev retires with ankle injury:
Rafael Nadal was locked in a tight, compelling and lengthy French Open semifinal Friday when his opponent, third-seeded Alexander Zverev, ran to to chase a shot and twisted his right ankle. Zverev crumpled to the ground, wailing in agony and clutching at his lower leg.
The sudden end to a contest that was 3 hours old but not even through two full sets allowed Nadal to become, on his 36th birthday, the second-oldest men’s finalist in French Open history. Now he will try to become the oldest champion at a tournament he’s already won a record 13 times, facing first-time Grand Slam finalist Casper Ruud on Sunday. Photo:Reuters. FINANCIAL

ECB considers it “disproportionate” to lower the cash payment limit to 1,000 euros in Spain: {Translation, summary}
-A “disproportionate” limit, an “excessive” penalty regime and less freedom for citizens to choose their means of payment. In these terms, the European Central Bank (ECB) has criticised the limit of 1,000 euros for cash payments established by Spain. On 11 July, the anti-fraud law came into force, which entailed a reduction from the previous limit of 2,500 euros for transactions between professionals and individuals, well below the common limit of 10,000 euros proposed by the European Commission for member states. The European Central Bank does not perceive the Spanish initiative as an example to follow, but rather as an excess of control by the Spanish government.
-The European banking authority has produced a report, the conclusions of which are clear. The European Central Bank (ECB) considers the €1,000 limit to be “disproportionate”. “Such a reduction will have undesirable adverse effects on the legal tender status of euro banknotes. Moreover, this cash limit significantly reduces the ability of payers to use euro banknotes and the freedom of citizens to choose the means of payment”, the document states.
-This analysis also detects discrimination between payments made by residents, to whom the €1,000 cap applies, and those made by foreigners, who can pay up to €10,000 in cash. “As the ECB has already warned with regard to the €10,000 limitation on cash payments by natural persons not acting in their capacity as entrepreneurs or professionals and not domiciled for tax purposes in Spain to persons acting in their capacity as entrepreneurs or professionals, the application of a different rule to payments made by non-residents does not seem justified, and discriminates against payments made by residents,” the document stresses.
-In terms of the offences and penalties, the ECB considers that the sanctions regime established in the law is excessive and, in particular, “the 25% penalty of the amount paid seems disproportionately high”. The ECB reiterates that the limitations on cash payments should not go beyond what is necessary to achieve its objectives, and that any negative effects of the proposed limitations must be carefully weighed with the public benefits that are expected of them.
