-The statement from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s office cited what it said was the “unjustifiable turnaround” in March on Spain’s position, amounting to a “fait accompli using fallacious arguments.” It said Spain has since campaigned “to justify” its position.
-In 2021, Algeria’s Sonatrach furnished Spain with more than 40% of its imported natural gas, most brought in via the underwater Medgaz pipeline. Another supply route to Spain was via the Maghreb Europe pipeline that passes through Morocco but that was shut off after the August break in diplomatic ties between Algeria and Morocco. In recent months the United States has taken over as Spain’s top natural gas supplier.

Traffic announces a new license for 16-year-olds to drive electric vehicles up to 90 km/h + More DGT Rule Changes:
-The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, together with the director of the DGT, Pere Navarro, has announced a new B-1 driving license from the age of 16 for electric vehicles that reach a maximum speed of 90 kilometers/hour and maximum weight of 400 kilograms. Until now these vehicles could only be driven with a B permit, but with this measure, which is already being applied in France with good results, the aim is to promote electric vehicles and the mobility of the youngest in rural areas.
-The measure is included in the 2030 Road Safety Strategy presented this Thursday, and in addition to it, the General Directorate of Traffic has announced that it will promote driving tests with cars with automatic transmission, will require compulsory civil liability insurance among owners of scooters and will shorten the license renewal periods for older drivers. Europe’s largest meat-eating dinosaur found on Isle of Wight: Fossilized bones discovered on a rocky seashore on England’s Isle of Wight are the remains of a meat-eating dinosaur that may be larger than any other known from Europe, a beast that was a cousin of the biggest carnivorous dinosaur species on record.
-Paleontologists said on Thursday they have found parts of the skeleton of the dinosaur, which lived about 125 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period, including bones of the back, hips and tail, some limb fragments but no skull or teeth. Based on the partial remains, they estimated that the dinosaur was in the family of spinosaurs, it exceeded 33 feet (10 meters) long and perhaps reached much more. It may even be a T-Rex, but more skull and teeth need to be discovered to confirm that.

The European Parliament has endorsed a ban on the sale of new cars with internal combustion engines from 2035, as part of its decarbonisation commitment: The European Union assembly voted in Strasbourg, France, in favour of a motion that will require carmakers to cut carbon-dioxide emissions by 100 per cent by the middle of the next decade.
-The legislation is part of the ‘Fit for 55’ package, which includes the ban of combustion-engine cars from 2035 and a 55 per cent reduction in CO2 from vehicles in 2030 compared with 2021. The move deepens an existing obligation on the car industry to lower CO2 discharges by 37.5 per cent on average at the end of the decade compared to last year.

Golf News- PGA Tour indefinitely suspends any current, future golfers in LIV Golf Invitational Series: In a memo to membership early Thursday, the PGA Tour announced that any current and future players in the LIV Golf Invitational Series are indefinitely suspended.
-The announcement came less than an hour after the rival league kicked off play Thursday at the Centurion Club outside London, with a 48-man field featuring a handful of PGA Tour stalwarts, including Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia.
-Commissioner Jay Monahan said that the 17 Tour players competing in the inaugural LIV event are in violation of the Tour’s tournament regulations, since the Tour did not grant conflicting-event releases.

-SHOCKING news for those using 2015-2016 era iPhones! Apple just announced the info for iOS 16 update for iPhones, with some big changes to the phones. iOS 16 is easily one of the biggest updates we have ever seen over the last few years. From a new customisable lockscreen experience to new sharing features and more, there is a lot to look forward with the iOS 16 update. Sadly, that won’t be the case with several users of older iPhone models who were expecting extend the usage for another year.
-In the list of iPhone models that are not getting iOS 16, it was obvious to see the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and the iPhone SE 1st Gen model. These phones were running on the age-old A9 chipset and had enjoyed 6 years of software updates. Surprisingly, Apple also excluded the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from the iOS 16 support list. -“These applications could have been designed to minimize potential harm, but instead, a decision was made to aggressively addict adolescents in the name of corporate profits,” attorney Andy Birchfield, a principal at Beasley Allen, the law firm that drafted the suits, said in a statement Wednesday.
-The complaints add to a spurt of recent cases against Meta and Snap Inc., including some filed by parents whose children took their own lives.

-The notorious Emotet malware has turned to deploy a new module designed to siphon credit card information stored in the Chrome web browser.
-Emotet, attributed to a threat actor known as TA542 (aka Mummy Spider or Gold Crestwood), is an advanced, self-propagating and modular (arrives in pieces to avoid detection) trojan that’s delivered via email campaigns and is used as a distributor for other payloads such as ransomware.
-“Credential data is stored in Chrome’s memory in clear-text format,” CyberArk’s Zeev Ben Porat said. “In addition to data that is entered when signing into specific web applications, an attacker can cause the browser to load into memory all the passwords that are stored in the password manager.” This also includes cookie-related information such as session cookies, potentially allowing an attacker to extract the information and use it to hijack users’ accounts even when they are protected by multi-factor authentication. European Central Bank to raise interest rates for first time since 2011: The European Central Bank (ECB) plans to raise interest rates next month for the first time since 2011 after warning inflation would increase by more than previously estimated.
