Restaurants & Markets That Deliver
If you know for certain a restaurant is still delivering (none should be offering take-away at this point), have them send in the details including Name of Restaurant, Location, Phone Number, Hours and a photo of their menu (optional). Unfortunately I have received some inaccurate info from well meaning 3rd parties which has caused problems. So now these businesses must submit their own posts, although I will in this case allow them to post even if they are not subscribers. -Ed.

Torrox town hall: Would like to share my experience of help from torrox council. My daughters in uk contacted them to let them know that my husband and I were in bad health and over 70. I had phone call to let me know where to ring for delivery of food etc.,and who to call for medication. All good but also I get a phone call every morning to ask if I am ok. How good is that? Reusable plastic shopping bags suspect: I heard a radio program today on Republic Broadcasting Network that suggested plastic shopping bags contain traces of previous contents and may harbor bacteria and viruses. Freshly washed cloth bags are safer they say. If you must use plastic, it is suggested you wash them between uses with soapy water and dry them in direct sunlight. -Ed.

DoctorLaptop Note: If your internet has been slow, if websites have had difficulty loading, if videos keep stalling/buffering, if Chrome browser is not behaving correctly, if clicks on items are ignored, if video calls keep cutting out or if your back arrow refuses to work you are not alone. People all over the world are experiencing the same issues. Big Tech blames it on the increased internet traffic caused by the quarantines and home workers. Some users are specifically complaining about Chrome browser acting buggy and are reporting better internet response from non-Chrome browsers. Here are some alternatives I use:

Wall Street rallies as job losses stir talk of more stimulus: The S&P 500 has now clawed back nearly $3 trillion in market value since its close on Monday and is on pace for its third straight daily increase for the first time since the selloff began in late February.
At 11:45 a.m. ET the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 1,164.45 points, or 5.49%, at 22,365.00, the S&P 500 .SPX was up 117.13 points, or 4.73%, at 2,592.69 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 292.52 points, or 3.96%, at 7,676.82.
All the 11 major S&P sectors was trading higher.
Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by more than 8-to-1 on the NYSE and 5-to-1 on the Nasdaq.
The S&P index recorded no new 52-week high or low, while the Nasdaq recorded two new highs and 10 new lows.
The IBEX 35 closed its third consecutive day on the rise, something that had not happened since last February 12, and closed at 7,033 points after scoring a 1.3% rise.
Banks raise the limit of contactless card payment from 20 to 50 euros for the coronavirus: The Spanish financial institutions that are part of the Spanish system of card payments to which almost all the financial institutions of the country are attached have agreed to temporarily extend the limit of contactless payment from 20 to 50 euros, thus reducing contact by not having to type our PIN number. In this sense, the public has also been recommended to “prioritize card or mobile payment” to reduce physical contact. Harvard researchers: Social distancing during COVID-19 may have to be turned on and off like a spigot. It’s unlikely one single, long stretch of “social distancing” is going to solve COVID-19 for the US (or EU?) before a vaccine arrives, say Harvard researchers. Instead, it may be necessary to keep having periodic intervals of quarantine until the US healthcare system is fortified. Android Apps in Google Play Store Capitalizing on Coronavirus Outbreak: The coronavirus outbreak is proving to be an opportunity for attackers to stage a variety of malware attacks, phishing campaigns, and create scam sites and malicious tracker apps.
Now in a fresh twist, third-party Android app developers too have begun to take advantage of the situation to use coronavirus-related keywords in their app names, descriptions, or in the package names so as to encourage installation, drop malware, perpetrate financial theft and rank higher in Google Store searches related to the topic.
“Most malicious apps found are bundle threats that range from ransomware to SMS-sending malware, and even spyware designed to clean out the contents of victims’ devices for personal or financial data,” Bitdefender researchers said in a telemetry analysis report shared with The Hacker News. Grid operators turn control centers into campsites to keep coronavirus at bay: With countries across Europe in lockdown to try to contain the virus, gas and power grid operators are scrambling to roll out emergency plans to make sure their control rooms are safe from infection and can keep critical infrastructure running.
Potentially at risk are more than 12 million kilometers (km) of networks, or 31 times the distance to the moon – Europe’s energy nerve center on which hundreds of millions of residential and commercial customers depend. In drastic move, Italy shuts most factories to halt virus: After more than two weeks of a nationwide lockdown, the Italian government decided to expand the mandatory closure of nonessential commercial activities to heavy industry in the eurozone’s third-largest economy, a major exporter of machinery, textiles and other goods.
The move by Italy, which is leading the globe in virus deaths, is more in line with draconian measures taken by China than with declarations coming out of other democratic partners, who are at least a week or two behind Italy’s rate of virus infections. The Spanish government has a hotline to answer all queries from Brits living in Spain about the implications of Brexit, in English. Callers can ring 060 when in Spain or +34 902 887060 if calling from abroad and an automated system will offer the choice of either Spanish or English.
You will then be offered a choice of information on the different issues.
The service also offers the option of speaking to an operator for those requiring further information or with a specific query not dealt with by the automated options. Source: https://www.thelocal.es/20200218/spain-launches-dedicated-brexit-hotline
