Premier League approves rule changes for rest of season: The Premier League has approved a temporary rule change to allow teams to make up to five substitutions when action resumes on June 17. “For the remainder of the 2019/20 season, the number of substitutes that can be used during a match will increase from three to five players,” a statement on Thursday said.
The Premier League also announced that the number of players allowed in the match day squad and on the bench will be increased from seven players to nine.

Asteroid possibly as big as Empire State Building to zoom past Earth: NASA is monitoring an asteroid that may be as large as the Empire State Building, expected to pass Earth on Saturday, June 6.
Asteroid 2002 NN4 is estimated to be 250-570 meters (820-1,870 feet) in diameter, according to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). New York City’s iconic Empire State Building is more than 1,400 feet tall at its tip.

France to transform surplus wine into hand sanitiser: French winemakers will transform wine that went unsold during the country’s two-month coronavirus lockdown into hand sanitiser and ethanol to make room for the next harvest, a farming agency said on Thursday.
